"Proceed," Levi shut the curtains to our carriage, as it lurched to a start.

"Safe travels!" A crowd of excited villagers had crowded around our carriage, following it as we left the village.

"You go to sleep then," Levi gestured to the space next to him, moving over to make more space for me.

"Are you going to watch me?"

"I'm going to read."

"Go to sleep Y/N," he held out a hand while I got comfortable.

"Alright then, don't spoil the Vampire Duke from The North for me," I grumbled, leaning back in my seat.

"Are you not going to lay down?" Levi seemed oddly offended.

"There's no room."

"What are you talking about," Levi gestured to his lap.

"Well- if my husband pillow wants me to-"

"Stop smiling at me like that," Levi grumbled, looking down at me.

"I can't help it," I murmured, covering my mouth with my hands. "You're too cute."

"I'm supposed to say that idiot."

"You can still say it! I'm not complaining."

"Go to sleep," he sighed, leaning down to kiss my forehead, "and stop being so cute, idiot."

"You're definitely going to watch me sleep-"

I fell asleep quickly, despite my best efforts to continue annoying Levi while he tried desperately to stay focused on his book.

Before I knew it a low voice was nudging me awake.

"Y/N-" Levi nudged me slightly.

"What is it?" I grumbled, rubbing my eyes. 

"We're here, get up."
