Jungkook POV

There he was.

Right in front of me was Park Jimin. He'd hurriedly entered the classroom, putting a note on the podium before turning in my direction.

The desk he approached was one column to the right, one row in front of mine. He raised his head as he put his bag beside an empty desk. Our eyes met and expression on his face was a mix of emotions.

Terrified? Upset? Shocked? I believe we are sharing these expressions, only for different reasons.

I chocked on air as I sat up a bit. He hurriedly looked away and sat down. I couldn't help but stare at the back of his head. My chest felt tight.

I seriously thought he had died. Everyone at our old school thinks Park Jimin is dead and yet he had only transfered to the school across town.

That day though- that day I watched Park Jimin jump off that bridge. I watched him try to take his own life. I was held back as I yelled. I cried and I cried for weeks. I finally stood up to Taehyung and told his minions to fuck off. I transferred schools for a fresh start and here he is. The boy that started it all. Alive.

He looked back at me. Staring at me shamelessly. His eyes met mine. This time he didn't look as shaken up, only blank. Not how Taehyung was. Jimin looked blankly as though he was broken inside and there was nothing left.

The boy beside him looked back at me, a smile taking over his face as he nodded his head at me to greet me silently.

"You missed it, he's new to our class" the boy said to jimin.

He'd turned back around, minding his own business, but Jimin still stared. As long as his eyes were on me, mine were locked on him.

"Does someone already have a crush?" Taemin whispered.

It was clearly just for Jimin, but he was rather loud. In any other situation i might have cracked a smile. In this situation, I simply held my breath.

"He's handsome. You should see if he likes guys" He added.

Jimin turned around then. Tearing his eyes from me and to his bag to take out his class notes.

"No" he spoke coldly.
