Loki shall be punished for what he did, indeed, for everything he's done is considered beyond evil. Before the Allfather decides his sentence, he is locked up in one of the cells, individually, as he is, or was, Asgard's prince. Frigga and, of all people, Thor are the ones that keep him company most of the time in there. Not like he needs it or something. He never needs anyone to feel sorry for him.

"How many time do I have to say? You don't have to come and see me." Loki smirks when he sees Thor, once again, get in the cell. Loki always thinks Thor just wants to make him feel pathetic, since he keeps bringing the stupid Mjolnir in with him. It represents everything Loki wanted to be, also as a part of the reason that brought him here, and now Thor just keeps swinging it around in front of his face like a childish kid that has his favourite toy.

"We're brothers, after all, Loki. Even when we can't bond well, I really don't want to see you like this, you know?" Thor sits down outside Loki's cell. Looking at his brother like this make him remember about that time when they were young, Loki once tricked him to get in a cell like this. He was trapped in, of course, and Loki had to sit outside the cell like this and talk to him until someone came and rescued him. But this time, sadly, things are flipped, and have become more serious than ever. And no one can rescue Loki now, not even himself.

"I thought I was supposed to be the one who lied?" Loki asks, but it doesn't sound like a question at all. It's not that Loki doesn't want to trust what Thor has just said, but for many years, he has always lived a life under the shadow of Thor's, so he just can't think that Thor will develop such emotion towards him.

"I don't know, maybe after all these years I finally learned something." Well, usually Thor wouldn't miss a chance to mock the shit out of Loki, but he is not in the mood knowing there might be terrible things happen to his brother after he is sentenced. Yet, he can't stand not saying anything sarcastic. 

Loki doesn't say anything after that, and neither does Thor. They just remain silent, sitting beside each other like when they were little, except there wasn't a magic shield between them back then. If only I can turn back time, I miss him, Thor thinks, I would do everything to bring him back.

Couples of weeks pass by, and finally, Odin has made his decision. The guards drag Loki out of his cell and take him to the Allfather. Anyone can tell he wasn't treated properly in there, he looks like he has just returned from hell. But his defiant look still remains the same. Thor has a thought that even when Loki has to die, he still looks like that, never obey.

"Father, I have something to talk to him, if you permit." Thor says before Odin has a chance to speak, and receive his father's nod. He walks towards Loki, who is now chained on both his wrists and ankles, and neck.

"Come to say goodbye huh? You have been nice to me lately, brother." Loki still can't say anything nice, as always.

Thor, without a word, stares into Loki's eyes, as if he wants to find his beloved brother somewhere inside that body. Yet, he is left with nothingness. He can't see anything.

"After this, if you're still alive, no matter where you are, I'll still come for you." Finally, Thor walks back to his position, leaving behind just those words. To what? Haven't you bullied me enough here? That is all in Loki's head hearing Thor's words.

"The time has come." Odin stands up from his throne, Frigga and Thor standing by his sides. "For all sins that you committed, Loki, we all now sentence you to a lifetime on Midgard, with all of your power trapped." The Allfather stops for a second. "Yet, you can have everything back, and return to Asgard, but not until you can learn to love."

Everything Loki hears left him in confusion, he thought he would be decapitated, or imprisoned in Asgard's jail for the rest of his life, considers the irony of him being Asgard's prince for all this time. He looks at Frigga, and then Thor. She nods, and he smiles at him. So both of you had something to do with it.

-Back to a few days ago-

"Mother, there has to be a way..." Thor walks around the room with Frigga sitting on a chair near him. "I know he has been bad, but he deserves a chance."

Frigga doesn't answer immediately, she looks deep in thoughts. "Do you think your father actually want to do anything harmful to Loki?" Finally, she calmly asks.

"What do you mean?"

"For all the crimes Loki seems to have, Odin could've punished him for so long ago." Frigga softly says. "But he hesitated, he's still waiting for something."

"You mean we still stand a chance?" Thor sounds glad. He always acts as if he dislikes Loki, but Lord knows how he adores this brother.

"Go talk to him, Thor." Frigga smiles. "He would be so surprised... I did too, you never seem to love Loki."

Thor walks over to give Frigga a hug, and a kiss on her cheek. "Sometimes there are things that needn't say." Then he leaves.

"But is it though?" Frigga looks at Thor's back. "You should have told him, both of you."

-Reality-

As the guards drag him to the Bifrost, where Heimdall is waiting to do his job, Loki's head just keeps repeating Odin's sentence. He turns aside to look at Thor, who asked to take him to Heimdall. Before he jumps onto the Bifrost, he stares into Thor's eyes for a long while.

"But isn't love what makes me do all of this, Thor? I was in love." Then, Loki disappears.
