CAPÍTULO SEIS: MR. LOVERMAN.
KOKICHI OUMA.
✧
❝ IN WHICH one small lie lead towards a
confession and heartbreak.❞
The machine read, followed by monokuma's laugh. The remaining ultimates were shocked, finger tips becoming cold as they watched the young, purple haired Liar, aka The Ultimate Supreme Leader. Kokichi's eyes widen, bringing his left hand up and biting the nail of his thumb. "Me?" Kokichi mumbled to himself, glancing to the side, avoiding the gazes of the said ultimates.
"Aha, you fools!—I didn't kill anyone," he gasped, his mood quickly changing, extending his arms out and laughed. However, his laugh this time was forced and strained, making his chest tighten and fingers twitch. "I . . . I didn't kill anyone," Tears welling up in his eyes, he brought his arms down and placed them by his side, shaking is head and turned around, hiding his face.
No one said anything, fearing what might happen. They wanted to believe Kokichi,— Shuichi wanted to believe him, but —the way Kokichi has been acting, it was rather suspicious. Tipping his hat down, Shuichi covered his eyes, feeling a warm sensation swirling in his tear ducts, as he could hear the sobs of the purple haired boy. Shaking his head, he could hear monokuma grumbling, tapping his paw impatiently.
"Puhuhu, as much as I would love to see how this hallmark moment ends, it's too late! The tallies are in—meaning, IT'S PUNISHMENT—." Monokuma said, his left paw covering his mouth, and trying to hold back his laugh. He held the execution gravel in his right paw, getting ready to hit the big red button.
"Wait !" A small voice said, catching the attention of the remaining students in the trial, along with the short, purple haired boy and the sadistic two toned bear; who grumbled in his seat, spitting out annoying comments. "Like seriously! What is so important that you had to disturb!" Monokuma seethed, his voice laces with annoyance as he glared down at the young girl. "Hurry up and speak, I don't got all day. Clock is ticking. So less talking and more tiking."
"I—I'm sorry, but I refuse to believe Ko would do something like this." The young girl spoke out, her voice wavering as she tried to hold back her tears. She couldn't bear to watch kokichi get executed—especially since he was like a little brother to her. She glanced at him, but noticed he kept avoiding her stare—matter of fact, he was actually smiling while looking down at the verdict.
"Ko-Yes, princess, I killed him." Kokichi cut her sentence off, his voice holding no emotion or remorse. He knew he could not escape, so he just went and played along. Did it hurt? Yes, it did. Deep down, he found himself become infatuated with her, but he knew she did not like him like that. Instead, he simply assumed the worst and came up to the conclusion that she liked Kaito.
"And before you ask why, let me put it simply. Basically, it was an act of jealousy. Why was I jealous—I don't know—spur of the moment probably. Nobody cares." Kokichi laughed out, shaking his head and began walking away as he gave Monokuma—who happily obliged, a signal to start the execution. The room stayed quiet as they watched Kokichi appear on screen.
❝Oh, and princess,
I lied about all that too. Fact is, I wished for you to notice me, and it appears to have finally toiled, but didn't last long. Nonetheless, just know my devotion for you stayed genuine.❞
