Chapter Six
The second Stone

❝Mama! Mama!❞

MONKEY KING HELD you in his arms as you slept peacefully. You really needed rest since it had be a while since last you took a nap. However and during your sleep, you saw a strange dream.

Everything around you was bright as you felt yourself being carried by someone yet you could see no one. You couldn't move any part of your body which was pretty odd. You heard a sound of soft and feminine hummings, her hold on you was very gentle. You then felt yourself being put down.

???: "Rest now, child. You shall wake when the Harbinger of Chaos reach his utmost potential."

And just like that, the voice started to fade away little by little. You didn't know why, but the voice was so soothing and calming in a familiar way. It made you feel... at home. However, this calmness was short lived...

Sandy: "ENOUGH!"

Sandy's shout made you jolt awake, alerting Wukong. You began to whine as small tears appeared in your eyes and Monkey King began to panic.

Wukong: "H-Hey... Hey, calm down, kid. It's fine, it's fine."

He tried to soothe you while bouncing you in his arms, but this wasn't working at all. Wukong immediately noticed that you weren't going to calm down any time soon. An idea popped in his head, he began to dangle his tail before your eyes.

Wukong: "Hey, Y/N. Look! Look at this."

You stopped whining and looked at the moving tail with puzzlement for a moment before you started to giggle and reach your hands to grab it. As you were distracted by the tail, Wukong shifted his attention to the group as Sandy gave instructions.

Sandy: "You're right MK. We don't know what we're doing, but we still have to find clues! Come on! Let's try splitting up into groups. We are invincible!"

Everyone nodded in agreement and went to their separate vehicle.

Mei: "Sandy gives the coolest orders!"

Wukong: "This is the first time l've seen him SO courageous." He added and hopped on his cloud.

Before he could take off with you, you reached your arms to Mk, "Bubba!" You exclaimed loudly which made Monkey King and Mk look at you.

Wukong: "Hey bud, it looks like Y/N wants to go with you."

Mk: "Aw, do you want to come with me? Come here."

Mk took you from Wukong and you immediately hugged him tightly, wanting to stay to your brother instead. And just like that everyone left to look for any leads for the next stone, leaving you and Mk with Sandy.

Sandy: "It's time to give you some strength."

As Sandy encouraged Mk, the boy jumped with excitement while you giggled happily. Your brother took you with him as Sandy followed after you two somewhere.

Mk: "You heard that, Y/N! Sandy's gonna give me special training! What will he teach me? Will you teach me to enhance my sense of smell? That way I can smell the whereabouts of the remaining four stones. Or teach me to survive in the wilderness, using nature and my smarts to survive in the jungle."

"Yay!" You exclaimed excitingly and raised your arms up.

Sandy: "Uh-No Mk. What I'm gonna teach you today is..." He trailed off and pulled some large leaves away to reveal a beautiful scenery, "Sit quietly and meditate!"

You squealed, not understanding what Sandy was talking about, but you were happy that he was happy. Meanwhile, Mk grumbled and sat down, disliking the idea already.

Mk: "What? No no nononono... It's so boring."

Sandy: "MK, the you right now really really needs a meditation practice like no other. Even Y/N is excited about it."

Sandy grabbed you and Mk, approaching the quiet and pretty area. It was obvious that Mk disliked the idea of meditation because it was something boring.

Mk: "You can do meditation anywhere in the world. Now is not the time! Didn't you say "We're invincible!" I thought you were going to do something big."

Sandy: "It's just a saying. Sit down first."

The blue guy put Mk on a rock to meditate then sat you on the grassy ground. You immediately got distracted and started to crawl around, feeling a bit adventurous. You were completely unaware of what was going on between Mk and Sandy and how your brother was avoiding meditation. As you were exploring, you saw some movements in the bushes which piqued your curiosity.

You tilted your head and crawled toward the bushes. Just then, a grey snake like creature emerged, hissing at you. Your eyes blinked for a couple of times then a squeal of delight emitted from you before reaching your hands to grab it. The creature hissed at you again in a warning manner, but it was strangled when your hands caught it tightly.

"Kya!" You exclaimed happily, waving the snake up and down.

Mk: "Sandy, look over there! A tiny monster is attacking Y/N! I must save her!" He exclaimed and summoned his staff to go and get the snake.

Sandy: "Mk, wait!"

The creature in your hands managed to break free and escape and the boy ran past you to chase it. Sandy approached you then picked you up.

Sandy: "C'mon, little one. Let's go get him."

You giggled and clapped your hands, "Bubba!" You called out as Sandy followed Mk and hopefully bring him back there to meditate. Eventually, the three of you reached a dead end, seeing the small snake go through the wall. Mk stood there puzzled for a second before he put his hand on the wall. A symbol appeared followed by a secret door opening.

Mk: "Secret passage!" Your brother stated then ran in, "Stop right there! You little thing! Where are you running to?"

The snake went to the big rock in the middle and blend in with it. Mk hopped on the top of the rock and start to attack the solidified snake.

Mk: "I'm talking to you! You're joking! You just were attacking my baby sister and you care as much as a rock!" One of the hits from the staff removed a bit of moss from the rock, revealing the second stone, "It's a colored stone! Sandy! You were right! We really do need to "live in the present"! If it weren't for you... making me do that meditation, we wouldn't have found another stone!"

As Mk jumped, the big rock began to move, throwing Mk off. Thankfully, Sandy caught him, holding you and Mk together.

Mk: "I forgot about the mythical beasts guarding the stones." He looked with panic as the guardian started to raise, "That's a big turtle." As Mk said that, you stared in awe and clapped your hands.

Welp, Mk was in for another test.
