❝Forever's a long time, bud. Trust me.❞

YOU HAD PUT ON your armor and left your house to go and deal with the Lady Bone Demon on your own. You had been holding back for now and it was time to fix your mistakes without dragging Mk with you.

As you existed your house, you saw someone standing outside, waiting for you, "Are you really going to deal with her alone?" Macaque asked you with a frown on his face. You clenched your fists tightly and sighed, "What else can I do? It's as you said, I'm only making things worse for Mk. I'm doing what's right." You replied and proceeded to walk pass him. Macaque gritted his teeth and tsk-ed, "You're not doing what's right, you're being reckless!" Macaque spoke up and turned to face you. You stopped in place and kept your back facing him, staying quiet.

"Do you think the Evil Lady Bone Demon will not be ready or doesn't have a plan to defeat you? She will probably do anything to make you suffer just like how she did to me."

You gritted and turned around, "What should I do then? My plan had failed, Mk doesn't have his staff, and none of the others can fight her! It's only up to me now."

Macaque's frown deepened and he went to you, putting his hands on your shoulders, "Why can't you understand me, Y/N? The Lady Bone is not like she used to be, she is stronger now. I don't want to lose you, I don't want us to separate again." He told you, his voice decreasing into a whisper. You were taken aback by what he said, it was the first time in a while he said this and you didn't expect him to say this any time soon. You smiled softly and put your hand on his, "Just trust me this time, I can do it." You started as you gripped his hand tightly.

"I'm not doing this only for Mk, I'm doing this for you too."

"For me? What do you-"

Macaque couldn't finish his sentence when you pressed your lips against his in a gentle kiss. Macaque didn't know how to react or what to do, it was unexpected. He had always wanted to do this, to kiss you and love you. However, he didn't find the courage to do it, he didn't want to ruin your friendship. Eventually, you pulled away and smiled at him softly, "If you want to help me, protect Mk and keep him safely away. I'm counting on you." With that being said, you summoned your cloud and flew fast as you can, making your way to the Bone Mech.

As much as you wanted to confess to him, you still thought that it wasn't the right time. Hopefully, this kiss didn't ruin everything.

You finally reached the Mech and landed down, looking at LBD with a frown on your face, "Ah, your timing couldn't be more perfect, Y/N. It appears your quest to use the power of the Samadhi Fire to destroy me hasn't gone quite according to plan. Why else would you show up unarmed with no friends for backup?" Lady Bone stated with a taunting smile on her face.

You gritted your teeth and growled in frustration, "I didn't need the Samadhi Fire to put you away last time. Figured I could make do without it." You stated with a serious voice.

"Oh, my power has far surpassed what it was when we last met in battle. And now I sense you do not have what it takes to defeat me."

"Hmph. That won't stop me from trying."

"A hero to the end. How delightful." Her minion spoke up with a rather cheerful attitude. The Lady Bone Demon started to laugh, "No backup and no weapon. So your plan is to... fistfight a child?" She mocked you.

"We both know that's not what you are."

With that, you two started your battle.

You and the Lady Bone Demon fought in the skies. You had the upper hand in the fight as the Lady Bone Demon couldn't match your speed or strength. She even tried to summon a symbol and used on you, but you broke through it with ease. You were going to punch her, but she teleported away from you, "Might I have this dance, Your Majesty?" The Not Mayor spoke up from behind you before he kicked you.

You quickly summoned your cloud as the fight now shifted between you and him. You did your best to dodge and block his attacks until he kicked you strongly. You were met face to face with a crystal that Lady Bone created to attack you, but you avoid it quickly. You went to punch her, but she teleported away and threw more crystals at you. Again, you avoided them and went for the strike, but the Mayor stopped you and trapped you in his arms.

"Your attempts are futile, Y/N. I have seen what the future has for you and your protégé. Destiny cannot—"

"Be undone. So you keep saying! But what about this guy? Is he in your future?!"

You broke free from the Mayor and punched him away. You didn't waste time and resumed the fight with her now that it was only you and her. This time, Lady Bone was more in defense as she couldn't match your strength. Eventually, she created a big spiky crystal ball to protect herself, but this didn't stop you and broke through it. You gave her a kick and sent her toward the mech. Without wasting time, you dashed forward and pinned her against the wall with one hand on her neck.

"Stop! Have you forgotten? Destroy me and you destroy the host. Have you become so desperate to end me that you would sacrifice this blameless, innocent child?" LBD spoke up, holding into your arm. She was acting innocent by stating that her vessel didn't deserve to be put in this position that she had put her through. At first, you hesitated, but you knew she was just playing with your feelings, so you frowned in anger, "You've given me no choice. All the time you spent locked away, you haven't changed a bit! I'm going to finish you, like I should have done a long time ago. I told you, you should've stayed buried!" You said and pulled your fist back, ready to deliver the final blow.

"I've come too far to let you ruin everything again!"

Lady Bone Demon created a symbol right behind you, pulling all of the power from the Mayor and brought it to your body. You screamed in agony and let go of LBD. You felt yourself losing control of your body, as if you were being pushed deep inside. Once her powers had took over your body, bright blue light shot from your eyes, indicating the final stages of your submission to her control. You were still conscious, but you were blocked by a strong force. Realization hit you like a hammer on your head

"No, this wasn't supposed to happen."

You spoke up, but your voice wasn't heard. You then turn around and saw Mk along with Ne Zha standing there, watching you with horror.

"Mk, no!"
