THE END WAS finally here and nothing can stop it. Mk who stood beside you held your hand tightly while you rested against the rock. The pillar was in a bad shape, all cracked and collapsing.

As if things couldn't get any worse, Xiangliu joined the group, his body filled with those cracks. However, he looked beyond happy with the destruction he was witnessing, "Very nice! The cycle of reincarnation is about to begin. I can finally witness it with my own eyes." The nine-headed demon exclaimed with excitement. Macaque glared at him sharply, "What's wrong with you?" He questioned while keeping his guards up in case Xiangliu attacked again. The said demon chuckled and turned to Macaque.

"Chaos is beginning to erode this world. I once said that I would return to where belong no matter what." He explained.

"Is there really no other choice?" Mk asked his, lowering his head to look at you.

"What are you talking about? You made your choice. You just needed to humbly accept your fate, but you refused to do that. You insisted to come back to be a hero. Now we are all doomed together!"

Mk frowned at what Xiangliu said, thinking that it was finally over, but he felt your hand squeezing his light, "Mk..." You called him out, making the boy look at you, "Together... We are all in this together." You whispered to him with a faint smile. Mk took a moment to process what you said, "Together?..." He mumbled as he finally got what you were saying. He smiled and picked up the gold stone, "The five-colored stones are Pillars of Heaven. I thought I had to face it alone." He said with happiness now that he discovered another solution. The rest of his friends were confused, thinking that Mk went crazy.

Xiangliu raised an eyebrow when he saw the change of Mk's demeanor, "It's all over, MK. You've tried your best." He pointed out, trying to force the boy to face the reality. However, Mk stood up and looked at the demon with determination, "Yes. I tried my best. Nuwa also said that no one can repair the creation themselves. But what if we do it together? we choose to go together!" He stated and handed the five-colored stones to his friends.

Mei smirked in excitement, "Yes, we were together from the start!" She said as she pulled her dragon sword out. Xiangliu took a step back, "No! If there was a way to save everyone, I would have already..." He trailed off in disbelief, but Macaque cut him off.

"You've already said that no one can be that strong."

Mk held the staff to Monkey King and he smiled, "But it's not necessarily this case if we go together!" Wukong spoke up before slamming the gold stone into the pillar and hitting it with the staff, breaking it into pieces. Bright gold lights emitted from it, going into different directions. One of those lights went to you, magically healing all your wounds, "Nuwa said that no one can control the five-colored stones alone." As Mk started to explain his theory, Mei broke the green stone and green lights came from it.

"Plus the beasts are not here. The pillars of Heaven cannot be preserved."

Tang, Pigsy, and Sandy broke the silver, blue, and red stones with their weapons.

"But there is another way. That's us working together, not just us. All of you, all of us. Let's create a new Genesis, everyone!"

The lights from the stones started to fix everything. You stood up and held your sword tightly, surrounded by a golden aura to aid Mk. Little by little, the cracks all disappeared and everything went back to normal.

"No. No, no, no, no, no! You won't shorten a single minute here!" Xiangliu yelled and dashed at Mk. Before any of you could react, Mk and Xiangliu went both through the pillar, "Mk!" You called him out and that was the last thing Mk heard.

Days passed after that horrible experience. Everything went back to normal... Well, except for the fact that people right now have different powers. Mk thankfully returned from the pillar safely and unharmed.

You hadn't seen Mk for a while because he needed some time to think of what happened days ago. Meanwhile, you were in your house, sitting on the patio while sipping on a cup of green tea, "It's good to have everything back to normal again." You thought, letting out a deep and relaxed sigh. Your crow, Ginko, was resting after days of crying because she was worried about you.

Just as you were enjoying the quietness, a bird landed in front of you. It then changed and to your surprise it was Mk, "Oh... Hello Mk, it's good to see you again." You spoke up with a soft smile on your lips. Mk forced a smile and went to you, sitting beside you. You poured him a cup of tea and handed it to him, "How are you feeling today?" You asked him, but you could tell that he was bothered which worried you, "Mk, are you alright?" You asked him, concern clear in your mint green eyes.

Mk clenched the cup a bit tightly in his hand. He took in a deep breath and looked directly into your eyes, "Y/N... I want to tell you something important." He sounded really serious that it worried you a lot.

I hope you enjoyed the chapter. This story is nearing the end, so and as I said before I'm canceling Redson as a love interest and make it just for Mk because Redson's appearances in the show is not a lot. So this story will be Mk x Reader and I will change it in the description. I apologize for the late change...
