The Beginning of Chaos

YOU WERE AT DBK fortress to meet Redson to repair Yoriichi Type Zero for the hundredth time. It had been a few days since the defeat of Azure Lion and repairing his mistake.

You had dedicated your time to train more and more to increase your physical strength. Yoriichi had told back when you were trapped in the scroll that people who were experienced in using the breathing styles can reach a level of power where you can see the transparent world when they get the Demon Slayer Mark. You wanted so badly to activate it as it would make you stronger. However and during your training with the mechanical doll, it broke again which made you bring it to Redson as he knows how to fix it properly. You quietly sat in his workshop, watching him finish his work.

"You sure you don't want me to do some upgrades on it? It won't break again like this." Redson asked, now putting the doll in its box.

You looked at him and blinked a few times, "No, it must stay as it is. The previous owner wants it like that, but thank you nevertheless." You stated calmly and gave him a smile. Redson blushed and scratched the back of his head, "Y-Yeah, no problem..." He trailed off when he saw you picking the big box to leave, "Uh, wait! I mean, I'm working on something in the temple and... I would like to have a company with me. Would you like to join me?" He requested while suddenly looking bashful which was weird to you.

You always knew Redson as a proud and kind of arrogant when it comes to his position or talking to others. That was why seeing him like this made you feel strange when he became a bit embarrassed. Still, you couldn't refuse a request from him, he was your friend after all. Another smile tugged on your lips, "Sure, I wouldn't mind." You replied and that made Redson beyond happy. Finally, he got to spend some time with you even if he had used his work as an excuse.

"Great!-... I-I mean, that's good. I will go and prepare a vehicle." With that being said, he quickly ran out to prepare a vehicle to go to the temple. Unbeknownst to you how excited he was now that you were going with him.

-TIME SKIP-

You were in the temple with Redson, seeing a lot of books and devices around the once clean temple. You were confused as you walked around, observing the objects around you.

"What's with those stuff?" You asked while paying attention to your steps so you won't trip on a wire. Redson chuckled nervously, "Well, I'm working a certain project. I studied a lot of books related to the origin of fire and try to creat a replica of the Samadhi Fire." He explained to you, hoping that you won't misunderstand him.

"But isn't the Samadhi Fire dangerous?"

"Yes, it is, but I did my research and I'm confident it will be fine."

For some reason, you felt skeptical about this yet you didn't want to demotivate him, "If you say so, I will trust you." You said with an encouraging grin. Redson blushed again and felt relieved that you were by his side. However, none of you knew the monstrosity he was about to create.

◈━━━━━━━ ▣ ━━━━━━━◈

A small creature shot flames everywhere from its mouth, burning anything near it. Thankfully, Redson had it caged which kept it in place. However, it did shoot a flying jet accidentally and Redson went to check on it if someone got hurt.

Meanwhile, you kept a watchful eye on the creature so it won't escape from the cage. While waiting, you noticed that those cracks started to appear again. Once Redson would return, you will excuse yourself and look for Mk to ask him. Minutes passed and Redson still didn't show up yet. You were staying behind a pillar as a shield and to stay away from that monster. Suddenly, someone hugged you and exclaimed, "Y/N! I'm so happy to see you!" It was Mei who was hugging you, Redson behind her looking displeased.

You smiled and petted her back, "I'm happy to see you too. What are you doing here?"

"It's a long story."

Her attention then shifted to creature that was still shoot fire, "Is that what caused me to crash? What Is that?" Mei asked, earning her a shrug from you. Redson sighed deeply, "You already know I [Redson] am the creator of the Samadhi Fire. l'm a genius! I just don't know why the fire entered your body." He started to explain before his expression turned grim. You could see that Mei wasn't really happy about this due to a horrible past experience, "Oh-... I-I didn't mean that." She said with an apologetic look.

"Ever since we fought the Lady Bone Demon, I research more about the origins of the Samadhi Fire. This is all my research."

"What? I thought the samadhi Fire was gone, right?"

Redson growled in frustration, but he held his anger back, "That can't happen! The samadhi fire can't be put out." He stated, putting his hand on his chin. Mei raised an eyebrow and looked at the thing again, "Then what does this have to do with-" She stopped and let out a gasp when she saw the monster shooting fire, "So cute! So scary!" Her eyes sparkled and she pulled her phone to take a picture, but you quickly pulled her back before she would get burned, "Mei, this is dangerous." You scolded her then turned to Redson.

"Please explain more in details, Redson. I'm as confused."

"Yes. This is... So I accidentally created a... A copy of the Samadhi Fire. A small fire spirit."

"So you're telling me you wanted to create ANOTHER devastating fire? And this was the result?"

Mei pointed at the small creature before going to Redson, putting her hand on his shoulder, "Bro... You deserved it." She added mockingly. Redson scoffed and pushed her away, "Alright! You're here. We both can wield the samadhi Fire, we should be able to control it." He suggested and that made Mei get her sword and leap at the creature. However, Redson was the one who grabbed her this time, "You! Don't be so IMPULSIVE ALL THE TIME! This is why I didn't want to do this with you!" He stated with worry while Mei chuckled mischievously.

"Yup! This is how I am."

You on the other hand facepalmed and sighed deeply, "They will never get along."

-ANOTHER TIME SKIP-

Redson had put a plan, a simple one that would either work or fail. He and Mei will start a ritual and this would either extinguish the fire spirit's flames or they fail and the world will be destroyed. They just have to wait for it to stop shooting flames.

"It stopped!" You pointed out.

Both Mei and Redson moved quickly on each side of the cage and prepared for the ritual, but Mei was a bit hesitant. You watched as they began the ritual, creating symbolic rings on the ground. It was going fine... at first. Your eyes were on Mei who was pretty scared of using the fire, "She will lose control at this rate." You thought, seeing small tears in her eyes.

"I can't do this!" Mei suddenly exclaimed and raised her hands from the symbol.

The creature started to shoot flames again, bringing the plan to fail, "What's going on? What's wrong? Why are you loosing focus now?" Redson exclaimed as the fire got stronger this time.

"Because... Because I've found that after going through SO much everyone else is getting stronger, but I'm the same."

"Enough! Now's not the time for this!"

"Once I had this ultimate power, but now it's gone!"

As she continued to talk, Mei didn't notice the fire shooting at her. You swiftly moved and did your best to swing your sword swiftly, trying to keep the fire away from her, "Y/N!" Mei exclaimed upon seeing you protecting her. Redson watched as the fire got stronger and stronger for you to hold back, "Mei! Y/N can't do this alone! We have to help them!" He yelled as he felt worried about you.

The force got stronger and you were pushed back against the wall, making you hiss in pain. Another wave of flames made its way at you, "Y/N, no!" Mei yelled and rushed to help you. Pulling out her sword, she swung it at the creature, creating a green fire of her own, "Now that's it! That fire gives you power!" The red haired demon spoke up with a smirk on his face.

"Ah? Just this old thing? I thought that.." Mei trailed off while pointing at her dragon sword.

"You still have the Samadhi Fire, Mei. You can use it." You said and forcefully stood up.

"Y/N is right. You haven't completely lost control. This is the samadhi fire! The fire is still in you! You've just been hiding it. You never succumbed to its will. You are its master!"

Mei seemed to regain her confidence and quickly stood up, "Alright! If I really can use the fire's power, let's begin the show!" With that being said, Mei created a new mech and used it to defeat the creature, turning it into a small ball. However, there was a bit of destruction that happened to the temple.

Moments later, you were gazing at the sky as everything calmed down while Mei and Redson were talking. You were completely oblivious to their conversation, "Hey Red Boy, why's Y/N here with you by the way?" Mei asked him with a raised eyebrow. Redson flinched at the question then cleared his throat, "They were accompanying me, that's all." He faked an excuse, hoping that Mei won't press on it more.

"Oh, so this wasn't some sort of a date, right?"

"What? N-No, it wasn't! We were just hanging out!"

Although he was blushing, Mei decided not ask more to avoid his temper tantrums. When it was time for her to go, you approached Mei, "I'm going with you." You stated. Mei blinked a few times before nodding, "Okay, let's go then." She said and hopped into her jet. Thankfully, there was a place for you, so you got in, "Thanks for having me, Redson. Let's hang out again another time." You said with a smile and he nodded before Mei turned on the vehicle, flying into the distance.

Redson waved his hand and let out a sigh, "Too much to have alone time with Y/N."
