(Open on a shot of Richard looking out at a feild with spite and hate in his eyes.)

I was born into a world of pure insanity.
The others beleive that the world is a good place.
Why can no one else see the threats and the burdens?
I have been forced to take the world upon myself.

(Cross cut to All Might, looking at a flash of light in the distance, which he clenches his fist to in response.)

The burden I bear is one I bear alone.
Protecting every child upon the globe.
But I am only one man and this is going to break me.
Yet I suppose that is a small price to pay.

(Flash of light cuts to Richard crying outside a burning winery.)

I will do whatever it takes!

(Cut to Deku glaring at Purity.)

Of heroes I am not afraid!

(Cut to Deku and Richard glaring at each other.)

I will be the guardian!
I am the last line of defense!

(Cut to Richard, from age 10 and aging up as the next verse is sung, lifting his mask to his face.)

I will show them all.
I have failed entire countries.
So this is why,
I am doing this!

(Cut to Richard outside the school, standing with his accomplices, George and William, as Richard looks back at class 1-A, almost with a sense of longing.)

Can I call any of them freinds?
I have to protect them!
But I must confess,
To a desire to drop my guard!

(Richard begins to timidly approach the others.)

Maybe I can drop my guard.
Maybe there is a better way!
