Deku knows.

Deku knows what Richard is going to say as they sit playing video games at Richard's house. Richard cracks a soda and sighs.

"Don't do it," Purity demands.

"We have to," Richard sighs, "He's my brother. He deserves to know."

"Voices again?" Deku asks.

Richard nods and turns to face Deku, "We need to talk about that actually."

Deku pauses the game as Richard sighs, "I... I grew up in a redneck Hell. I had stoner parents and abuse was rampant. Someone had to fact. I... I had to act. I did some things I had to do. Deku..."

Richard reveals the mask, "I am Purity."

Deku carefully hides his phone as he records everything, sending a feed strait to All Might and the other teachers excluding Midnight, "It's OK dude. You did what you had to."

"It's not OK," Richard shakes his head, "It's killing me, and we have to expose the academy. After what I said last week, we must strike now. We have to keep them safe Deku."

Deku reassures him, "This is all going to be OK..."

Three days ago...

"All Might," Deku asked sitting with All Might in his office, "I need to ask a hypothetical."

"Hypothetical or something I shouldn't know?" All Might inquires.

Deku remains silent, turning away uneasily in his seat.

"Deku what's wrong?" All Might inquires, placing his hand on the young man's shoulder.

"Let's say," Deku explains, "Purity was adopted by a pro hero, mentally ill, a student at U.A., and the masses has immense sympathy for him. Let's say that Purity is someone I care about, but would never survive in prison. What kind of sentence would he receive?"

All Might thinks, and inquires, "What kind of mental illness?"

"Split personality disorder and schizophrenia," Deku replies.

All Might sighs, looking outside from his office, down at the protesters outside the school. He sighs, "If I pulled some strings, I could have him placed under house arrest for the Summer and put on medication. If the masses are on his side, it should be possible. Attending U.A. after... I'm uncertain. However, we need evidence and we need to know who it is before we can proceed."

Deku sighs, "It's killing him All Might. He can't do this anymore. We have to stop him. I'm hanging out with him in three days. Call a meeting. Make sure Midnight doesn't know."

"Midnight would be the best hero to safely capture the young man," All Might explains, "Unless it's young-"

Deku nods. "It's him, it's Richard West..."

"Hey let's go get lunch," Deku offers, "My treat."

"OK," Richard smiles, "Sounds fun."

The two turn off the game and head outside, where Vamp and Midnight are bird watching. Vamp waves to Deku and Richard who wave back as they walk down the driveway towards the main city.

Asui sighs, sitting at the resteraunt, knowing what's going to happen. Just as they agreed yesterday...

"You can't arrest him now," Asui pleads in the past, "He's the only one who can expose whatever U.A. is doing."

"Asui," Deku pleads, "He's dying. Look, he's just going under house arrest. Let's just let him see Lily one last time prior. In case things go south. Help me with that, or he is going to die. OK?"

Asui sighs, "I understand, but Lily can't know."

Deku nods in agreement...

Lily surprises Richard with a hug and a kiss as she pulls him over to a table away from Asui and Deku. Deku smiles at Richard, to indicate this was all his plan. Leaving the two lovebirds alone, Deku and Asui discuss.

"One hour left," Asui sighs, "Then we have to take Deku to the school."

Deku nods somberly, "I know. It's for his own good. Look at him."

Asui and Deku examine the kid's frail and broken frame, exhausted eyes, and pale skin. A broken man, who at least in the moment, appears happy with his girlfriend, laughing for the first time in a while.

"He will die if we don't do this," Deku reminds.

Asui nods in understanding, "So, what did U.A. do?"

Deku produces a photo on his phone and shows it to Asui.

"Oh," she sighs, "That's... oh my."

"May not be the worst but it's still really bad," Deku replies, "Anything I should know about his quirk? That I should warn the pros about?"

Asui shakes her head but replies, "His other personality is vicious. If he begins grinning hysterically, he will attack with borderline murderous intent. I don't think he would kill but..."

Deku nods in understanding.

Fifty minutes pass, and Deku and Richard leave. Deku can't look Richard in the eye. The time has come. The time he has so desperately dreaded. Deku leads Richard, who follows, absent minded as they talk about books and how to destory the corruption in U.A. until...

As they turn the corner, Cementoss, Eraser Head, and All Might, no longer able to fight but present nonetheless all stand, waiting outside U.A.

All Might steps forward, eying the confused Richard and points, "Richard West, you are under arrest."

Richard turns to glare at Deku, "So that's how it is."

Deku looks away, "It's for your own good. You need-"

Richard growls, "My good doesn't matter you idiot! We have to protect kids! For the love of God tell me, promise me you got the evidence first!"

Deku nods, Richard sighs and turns away. "Sorry," Richard apologizes, "I trust you to protect them. It was a pleasure knowing you bro."

Richard calls upon his power, a bright light in his left hand, "I won't go down easily," he warns the heroes, ready for a fight.

Eraser Head prepares his ropes but All Might extends his arm, signaling Eraser Head to wait.

"Go quietly," Deku begs, "Don't resist. It's better this way."

Richard shakes his head, "It's not to late to help me Deku. We can get away. I can change my name. We can-"

"Richard you have reached a point where YOU are impure," Deku explains, "This, what it's doing to you, what you're doing, it's no better than them. If anyone here needs to be 'purified' it's you bro."

Richard turns, glaring at Deku. Enraged. Him? Impure? In his eyes Deku just called him a child abuser. There is nothing Richard would be more insulted by. Eraser Head and Cememtoss prepare to step in, but once more All Might stops them.

"He's crazy!" Eraser Head exclaims, "Why are we hesitating?"

All Might sighs and turns to Cementoss, who seems to understands and explains to Eraser Head. "Richard may be mad by this point, but he loves Deku as his brother. If anyone can bring Richard in without killing him, who else but Deku? Who else but his family? Richard has done bad things. Richard has made mistakes, maybe he's a bad person, maybe not. To weigh the pros and cons of his actions would take to long. I think he's a good, but mislead, person. Either way, wether you hate him or not, he can become a good person, or a better person. Whichever. You may want him expelled Eraser Head, you may hate him, but All Might sees his potential. Sees the good in him."

"I will not allow him to attend class 1-A after this," Eraser Head glares, "Not if I have anything to say about it."

"We shall see," All Might replies.

Deku activates his quirk, full cowling 5%, ready to face off as Richard turns to attack, fury in his eyes.

Deku knows how Richard always opens, striking with a blast of light, which Deku manages to avoid.

Richard gets that same grin, the same grin he always gets when he snaps. Purity takes hold and laughs, "Call me impure will you? If I'm already impure I see no reason I can't attack now."

Deku glares and lunges at the mad vigilante, drawing many civilians to watch as the two face off, and the media will not be far behind...

Deku opens with a strong left hook, striking Richard in the chest, causing him to cough up blood as his ribs crack. Deku leaps back, green energy surrounding him from his quirk.

"I will not fall here," Richard shakes his head, blood dripping from his chest, "Not yet."

Deku charges once more, seeing Richard stagger. He thinks that just one more good blow can end this, but it's a trap! Deku can't change directions before Richard blasts him, the blow to his arm enough to shatter it.

"Not yet," Deku growls, "I won't let you destory yourself any more!"

"And I won't fail again!" Richard exclaims.

The two charge their quirks to their maximum. Richard preparing a massive final blast as Deku prepares to finish the fight with his good arm.

"110% One for All!" Deku exclaims charging.

"Purest Radiance!" Richard retorts, sending out the beam...

Midnight watches the news in horror as her and Vamp head to the scene.

"Did you know about this!?!" Vamp demands, "Did you know they were gonna take big bro!?!"

"No!" Midnight exclaims trembling as she turns up the radio, "I would've used my quirk if I did! What else are you kids hiding from me at this point!?! What are you a wanted criminal too!?!"

Vamp calms down and hugs her mom, crying, "I'm sorry. I'm sorry. Richard saved me from them."

Midnight doesn't know how to reply as she stops the car, arriving at the scene. "Who?"

"Richard told me to get help," Vamp finally breaks down, "Richard let me be Vamp West. Richard let me be his sister. The Leauge let me go. He freed me. He freed me..."

"Toga?" Midnight asks.

Vamp nods, crying, her hair dye now starting to fade as she clings her mother tightly.

"It's OK," Midnight hugs her daughter, "You're Vamp now. It's OK."
Toga nods, still crying.

"Will you be OK?" Midnight asks.

Vamp nods and lets her mom go, still crying, breaking down as she fears what will happen to Richard. Despite healing and making progress, she is far from fully healed. She is far from stable. This sudden stress has caused her to snap and breakdown, causing her to reveal the truth, and be unable to act.

Deku and Richard glare at each other, the blast destroying both of them, Richard's entire ribcage cracked, and Deku without any arms, blood pooled beneath them.

The alter ego still in control until...

"Richard!" Midnight yells.

Richard snaps back to reality and upon seeing what he has done, looks at his right hand.

"Don't do it," Deku glares, "Don't do it man the nurse can just heal me if-"

Richard activates Guardian's Light, shattering both his arms.

"Fine time to uhhhh," All Might glares at Eraser Head, "Fine time to blink shithead."

Eraser Head does not reply, having no shame for his inaction. Midnight rushes over, taking her broken child into her arms.

"It hurts," Richard begins to cry. His vision fades and he speaks slowly, his psyche broken from stress and blood loss.

"It's OK," Midnight comforts him, "It's OK."

"I hurt Deku," Richard replies, "It hurts. I can't protect now. I can't protect anymore. They know."

"It's," Midnight holds back tears, her child in such a state to much to bare as she activates her quirk, "Close your eyes. It's OK."

Richard closes his eyes. The stress of everything finally breaks Midnight, she cries out, her child half dead in her arms. No one dares to go near her before the ambulance arrives. She weeps as her son is taken away and the headline rolls in to everyone's dismay. Everyone in class 1-A. Everyone Richard knew watches in horror as the headline reads...

"Richard West has been arrested as Purity..."
