At this point of this book, I should have already chased away all people who are more or less the type that I don't really like talking to, so I feel safe to speak about other things than just how edgy I can be.

Sure, Wattpad debates are not the best place to start with that, but hey, they are fun.
The edge is so cutting, the latest science got nothing to compare.

(I said that I feel safe to speak about other things than me being edgy.
I didn't say that I would completely drop the topic.
I am very guilty of loving edgy things.)

You know, I think that for people to reach an understanding of something, they need to take in all factors of something, use their won knowledge to draw conclusions and find safe and reliable ways to test things they are not yet sure about.

This is why I do not like debates as a means of trying to do something useful - they are not about understanding, they are about winning, and it shows. They usually end like they start, not producing any kind of result.

Because any toddler, no matter how demented, knows one thing:
Nobody can tell you anything if you are stubborn as brick.

So basically it's all about attempting to outstubborn each other.
As you might imagine, this is one of the most fruitless activities one could ever hope to find.
As you might not want to imagine, this is in big parts how important issues are talked about.
Especially in this day and age, where the loudest voice does not only gain the most attention, but will easily create wide-spread echoes and chaos in no time. 

As unfortunate as this is if one thinks too much about it, at least it's really entertaining.

Click, read and enjoy the chaos that unfolds before you.
You can join and act chaotic yourself, make oil gush into the flame wars or pretend to be the only sane person.
Or you can just observe. Either way, it's nice.
Everyone is having a blast screaming on the top of their lungs while feeling like the smartest person in the room, shooting insults back and forth like it was the snowball wars all over again.
