From this point onwards this tale will contain notes as if written to be made into a game...

Because I do wanna make Lisa The Youthful. In which all party members will be remixed. Starting with...

Terry Hintz: In Youthful, Terry no longer has his knuckle drops or hot dance. Rather, he has improved his support skills immensely, gaining the ability to scare enemies and recover his own SP with a skill that replaces his basic attack. He essentially serves as a pure support. Rendering him useless offensively, but viable because statuses are very powerful as with all Lisa games.

Brad and Terry exit the orphanage, before Terry inquires.

"Brad where are we even gonna go?" He asks, "We don't know where Buzzo is."

"Trust me," Brad retorts, "I know exactaly where Buzzo would go. We're going to the cemetery. There's someone I need to visit there anyways..."

And so Terry and Brad begin their journey down the winding alleyways of the city.

Note: Alleys serve as caves in Lisa The Youthful. I will now be writing one of the side areas with two party members. I intend to have 20 party members including Brad and Terry, with about 8 per area. Meaning I will include 6 more in Area One.

Brad enters an alley where he is attacked by dark figures the duo manage to fight off before proceeding.

Note: Yes the shadowy figures can be farmed.

Eventually the duo emerge in a grassy, overgrown playground, where they are attacked by venomous snakes, which they manage to stave off until they reach the end of the playground where a young man in a green t-shirt, around 14, greets them. He's a tall man, and he speaks...

Well...

He sure does speak.

"Oh hello there! Name's Nern! Have to come to hear my tale?" Nern inquires.

"No," Brad replies.

"Exellent!" Nern exclaims, "Have a seat my boy! Let's see it started after school two weeks ago when my mother, God rest her soul, started a spat with my old man. Now what was the spat about? I can't recall. I believe it was lemon tea. Ah yes lemon tea. I do love myself some lemon tea. Strait from the bottle from the convenience store down the way. Anyways my father, God rest his soul, brought up some blue pill and asked her to drop the matter. Why she didn't drop the matter, I'll never know. It was about some guy named Dale Spooner. Dale Spooner, one of those guys. You know the type. Sips tea without lemonade. Who has tea without lemonade? Anyways my old man began to change into a most horrific form before eating my mother causing me to run..."

The story is interrupted by the approaching of a Joy mutant, crawling forward with a grotesque fashion with an oversized torso and very very small legs. Its mouth agape, with large, jagged teeth, as it drags itself forward, laughing.

"Uhhh..." Brad tries to get Nern's attention but alas...

"Yes sir nothing can catch my attention when I get going," Nern proceeds, "My dad had massive teeth and tiny legs, always laughing and moved by pulling himself forward by his arms."

Brad readies himself for combat...

The Joy Mutant attacks!

Notes: This is a miniboss and can disable party members, but since they are kids it "cripples" then rather than kills them. There will be further notes on this in the future. The player can escape this fight but doing so will cause a cut scene where the mutant kills Nern in one clean chomp.

Brad shoots off a fireball as Terry, desperate to try anything, taunts the beast, pissing it off. The creature screams, and Terry is frozen in fear by its unholy cry. Brad attacks the beast once more, this time with a series of Buster Punches that weaken the creature as it laughs madly. It strikes, hitting itself with an intense blow in its blind rage, and falls, dead.

"And that's my tale," Nern explains, "I never caught your name- Good God!"

Nern walks over and inquires, "This was my father! You've saved my life my boy!"

"Hey don't mention it," Brad explains.

"Guess I'm an orphan now," Nern sighs, "I owe you my friend. What's your name?"

"My name is Brad," Brad explains, "And actually we could use your help. We have better chances together than alone in this town. I'm looking for my little sister. Could you join me?"

"Of course!" Nern exclaims, "Let's roll!"

Nern joined Brad's party.

Note: In Youthful, Nern now lacks his talking skills, as he is a far less skilled story teller at his young age. However, his finger beams have been buffed, turning him into a raw damage dealer. His damage is only moderately high, but his SP costs are low, making him useful in the early game when resources are scarce, and in the late game where every turn counts and turns can't be wasted restoring SP. Basically, low SP cost, good, simple damage.

The now trio go through a shortcut through an alley, that places them above where they started at the crossroads. From there Brad jumps down and heads into a convince store with what little cash he's managed to find from the shadowy figures and snakes to purchase some supplies.

Note: Most items are the same as Lisa The Painful, but alcohol is replaced by energy drinks, which causes an energized buff that replaces drunk and a crash debuff that replaces hangover, functioning mostly the same.

After buying some jerky and energy drinks, Brad notices a young man next to the soda foutian. He wears a red shirt and has a small hat atop his head. He shakes with a sugar rush and explains, "Sugar. That sweet sweet ice cream. Store was closed. Gotta get that sweet sweet rush..."

At the other end of the store is a young man with a slingshot and a large hat and a green shirt. His arrow has a red feather in it. When Brad goes over to speak to him, who can't be older than 14, he explains...

"Name's Olan," the young man explains, "And you got a problem? I'll help you out buddy. You seem nice. You and orphan like me?"

"Yeah," Brad sighs, "From Yado's."

"Shit man that's rough," Olan replies, "You sound like you could use a friend. We could he friends. You need my help it seems so I'll give you a discount. Just twenty bucks instead of the usual fifty. How's that sound?"

"Yeah," Brad replies, "I could use a pal."

"Then let's go buddy," Olan smiles.

Olan joined Brad's party.

Note: Olan works as another debuffer, unlike Terry however, he focuses on bleed, posion, crying, etc. With various trick ammunition for his slingshot. He is still a TP character and does learn some decent damaging moves with explosive ammunition at later levels, but mostly serves as a debuffer with damage on the side. He does not inflict debuffs like pissed, crying, etc. That's what Terry does and to have 2 very similar companions so close wouldn't feel right. Basically, what Terry can't do Olan can. He also has a healing skill much like Birdie's Secret Stash from Lisa The Painful where he shares candy bars to heal the party, allowing for support in that area too.

With his newfound ally, Brad goes down another alley, trying to reach the Cemetery to confront Buzzo...
