I open the door of the apartment, And I see Cassandra cooking in the kitchen. I walk over and sit on a barstool at the island. When she turns around and notices me she about drops the bowl of salad she is carrying.

"Don't sneak up on people like that! That's not something you do in the apocalypse!" She yells.

"I wanted to surprise you though!" I laugh.

"Well you gave me a heart attack in the process. Good job." She says,"But we're going to go eat at Mack and Addy's new apartment."

"Let me change first I don't want to smell like hospital." I say.

She just smiles and sets the salad on the counter.

When I'm done getting ready to go I walk out to see Cassandra waiting by the door for me.

She says,"Well you look nice."

I was dressed in a pair of jeans and a black and red plaid shirt.

"Thanks you look nice too." I smile.

While walking down the long hallway to the stairs Cassandra says to me,"I missed you."

"Well, it was only one day."

"But that one day was long."

"Last time I checked there were 24 hours in a day and I don't think that it would get longer." I smirk.

"Oh, stop being smart!" She says.

I roll my eyes and we then make a right into Addy's room. Cassandra and I were the last group to get there.

"Look who finally decided to show up!" Murphy yells.

I simply ignore him and take a seat at the large kitchen table while Cassandra places the salad on the counter.

"Cassandra I'm sorry about Murphy, he's just hungry." I hear Addy say to Cass.

"Oh, no it fine. He was always that way I'm used to it." She replies.

Murphy sighs and gets up to grab his food first.

Once every one is finished eating I say, "So Mack, when are you going to show us around your new place?"

"Yeah, when are you going to do that!" Doc exclaims.

"Well, ya know this is just like your places just an extra room." Mack answers.

"Oh come on! Please!" Doc pleads.

Mack sighs and gives in, "Fine I'll show you guys. I'm almost positive that the girls have seen it the place already."

"I'm not going with you guys, I'm going to stay here. I'm not interested." Murphy says as he pours himself a drink.

"Your lose Murphy. Well I'm pretty sure you guys already know what our kitchen and living room looks like. I'll show you guys the extra room." Mack says.

"Mack, you know you can say the kids room, right? It won't bother us." I say.

"I know I'm just not used to saying that yet." He says as he turns a doorknob.

The room was small and painted light yellow. There was a white crib placed against one of the walls and on the other wall was a bookshelf with no books on it.

"I was thinking that next few times we go runs we could find books and stuff." Mack says to me.

"Yeah, su-"

BLAM

"What the hell was that?" Doc yells.

I run out of the room and look through the window in the living room. I can't clearly see anything on the outside from where I am.

"What do you see?" Warren yells.

"I don't know. I can't see really." I answer.

"I'm heading down there." Addy says standing up.

"Addy, I'm no expert, but I'm pretty sure pregnant women aren't supposed to be doing anything dangerous." I say.

"Addy. 10k is right. Your not going down there." Mack answers.

"I'm not doing anything dangerous if I'm going down stairs." She yells.

"Well, what if there was some sort of danger down there? What if you get hurt? So, Addison Carver, stay here." Mack yells back.

She sits back down and crosses her arms.

"I'm going to get my gun, Cassandra, Warren stay here." I say.

"Heck no, I'm not staying here! I'm coming with you guys." Warren says.

"Fine...but Cassandra, be sure to protect Murphy." I sternly say.

She smiles, "Don't worry, I will."

When we reach the armory I see Ethan in there grabbing his gun.

"Ethan! What's going on?" I yell.

"Apparently there is this guy outside our gates. He demands that he is sent in. He claims that its just himself but Jared and a few other guys out there don't buy it. You and I our going to get our guns and go up on top of the wall but we can't be seen. Warren you need to go to the cafeteria and discuss this situation with them. Doc and Mack you guys need to go out by gate to back them up. But make sure you are not seen at all." Ethan says.

Warren, Doc and Mack all grab their guns and go where they were told to, while Ethan and I was towards the wall.

"When we reach the ladder up to the wall, that's when we need to be very quiet." Ethan says to me.

Not to much after Ethan says that we reach the stairs and quietly walk up them.

"How much ammo do you have?" Ethan whispers when we reach the top.

"I'm not sure, maybe a few rounds." I answer back quietly.

"Just begin looking around for any men of his." Ethan whispers.

"I'm not sure I understand what you're saying here. You claim that you have 'The Murphy'." Jared says down below.

"Yes, I do have The Murphy." The man says.

"If you have him. Where is he? I would like to see him." Jared says.

"I'll go get him, but only if you let me in first." The man says.

"I'm sorry sir, I just don't trust you." Jared says.

"I see some of them, specifically their sniper." I whisper to Ethan.

"Keep your gun on him, I see some others too." Ethan whispers back.

"I'm not sure how else to say this, but if you don't let me in, I will have my people shoot each and everyone of you in there the moment I snap my fingers." The man says raising a hand.

"Shoot them." Ethan whispers.

I pull the trigger on my gun and let the bullet fly into the snipers head. He falls down from the tree he was in almost landing on one of the other men.

"We need to move and spread out, they know our position now, I'll go left you go right." I whisper to him.

While going farther down the wall, I see there leader pull a gun and aim at Jared. Acting fast, I aim at him and shoot him before he pulls the trigger.

Doc, Mack and a few other men begin firing at the men jumping out from the tree line and into the open.

I spot a few men still in trees, luckily I spotted them before they spotted me. I shoot them and watch their bodies fall down and land on the hot concrete.

The gun fire stops, the men below me begin cheering because of our win. I know this was nothing for us to cheer about, but I wasn't going to stop them.

BLAM

Another gun shot was fired but not from our team, out of the corner of my eye I see Ethan begin falling from the wall.

"ETHAN!" I shout.

Ok I understand I haven't updated in a month, but I had a lot going on, Christmas, act's, family. But I finally got this finished.
