Its Corn?

Jack ruffled out his hair and started to fly around, his feet touching the ground now and then but otherwise still trying to get use to the feeling of flying and practicing with it.

"Did you see it yet?" Someone asked as he flew through them. See what? He just shrugged to himself, who else would it be to, and kept doing his thing.

He looked ahead of him and noticed a group of people all huddled together. He tilted his head and used a a gust of wind to start to blow him in that direction.

He landed on his feet and made his way to the front, people shivering as he walked through them. He looked at the building that everyone was oohing and ahhing at. He didn't understand what all of the fuss was ever about.

"The first one isn't it Margaret?" Asked a woman

"I believe so, first one in Boston!" Chirped the woman, Margaret, next to her.

First what? Jack just had to know what all the excitement was about, so he made his way around the edge. Trying to see if there was anything saying what it was.

There wasn't.

"I don't get why we even need a granary. I think we're doing perfectly fine without one." A man breathed out sharply. Seeming to be offended by the bricks.

Jack finally had enough of waiting and went inside the building. A few people were walking around but he kept moving until he found the room everyone must have been talking up.

He stared at the wood in front of him and looked down at the doorknob. Whatever it is must be amazing to cause everyone to be so excited about it. He placed his hand on the knob, fingers closing around the shape. With a grin on his face he pulled it open and at short last he saw...

Corn?

It was... it was corn. He glanced around inside the room, nothing else. Just the corn.

"Corn." He deadpanned "It's Corn. Seriously?" He looked over at the people, as if they could hear him. "Why do you have a room filled with corn? It's corn! It doesn't need a room!"

He went outside quickly. Looking around at all the people still gathered there, who were turned to each other and had their mouths moving.

"Why do you people have an entire building built for corn! Why do you need a building for corn!" He cried "I mean sure corn is amazing and I assume it tastes delicious but still, it's. Corn!"

He frowned when no one answered him, he was very confused by the building. The 'granary' if he recalled right. He turned around and looked at it again. Why did it need a building?

It's corn.

I'm trying to get back into Rise Of The Guardians so that you can get good updates. I'm not really but I found a cool site that tells you things that happened that year.

In 1715, Boston's first Granary was built. Which was literally a building for corn. I mean I guess I get it cause they didn't have fridges or anything but why??? Idk

But sorry for deleting the last chapter, I just couldn't work off it and didn't like how I wrote it. So I replaced it with this instead!

Keep Believing
