O.

"Jungkook-ah!" A voice shouted from behind where the named male and I were talking.

We turned, spotting Hoseok skipping towards us.

Jungkook's lips turned upward into a large smile. "Hoseok-hyung! Are you feeling better?"

Hoseok smiled, giving each of us a large hug. "I am! That flu I had was no joke. I was out for two flipping weeks!"

We both chuckled at our hyung.

Hoseok then faced Jungkook. "I wanted to see if you would be willing to see the new Iron Man movie with me tonight?"

Jungkook's eyes lit up. "Yes! Yes! Yes!"

I frowned, taking a deep breath to contain any tears that were threatening to escape from my tear ducts.

Hoseok quirked his head to the side at my change of mood. "Tae? What's up?"

I shrugged, knowing that if I spoke, my voice would crack.

Jungkook's eyes widened. "Shit! We were supposed to hang out tonight, Tae! I completely forgot."

I nodded my head.

Hoseok gave a lighthearted chuckle. "We can just see it another time! Don't worry about it."

"Tonight was the premier!" Jungkook whined, making my heart ache.

"Go see the movie," I stated quickly, knowing that if I didn't get out of this situation soon, it would suffocate me.

My best friend shook his head. "Tae, no!" He thought for a second before jumping excitedly. "Come with us!"

Hoseok hissed. "I only have one extra ticket, unfortunately, otherwise I would love for Tae to come."

Jungkook frowned and faced me. "Taehyung, I can see it another time."

I shook my head, praying that my tears would stay inside. "No, you know if you don't see it tonight that it will be spoiled at school tomorrow. You hate spoilers. Go. Have fun with Hobi."

Jungkook's eyes softened as he stared in my direction for a moment. He then faced our hyung. "What time does it start?"

Tears splattered against the thin paper as I scribbled the note. I had to try to not give myself away based on the emotions I was feeling. I was praying the writing would still be legible with my tear stains.

Jungkook.

The way you make me feel is... indescribable. Being around you... I wish I could be near you all the time.

But no. You have other people in your life to spend time with. I can't be selfish. I can't have you all to myself, no matter how much it pains me to share you.

I often find myself going to text you, or talk to you, and I know I have to stop myself. You need your space.

You need your time away from me.

But that's okay. I understand. I'm an understanding person.

I hope you enjoy the movie tonight, my dear.

With love,
V.

I sealed the envelope, putting the letter O on the outside. I placed my lips against the seal in a quick kiss.

With a sniffle, I stuffed the envelope carefully into my jacket pocket.

Jungkook POV.

"Dude! I'm so ready for this movie!" I shouted as I hopped into Hoseok's car.

Hoseok chuckled and turned down the volume on the radio. "Before I forget," he said, grabbing a familiar envelope from his cupholders. "Someone left this on my car in a bag with your name on it. I tossed the bag when I saw this was just in there."

I sighed, noticing the writing on the outside.

Hoseok tried to peer over my shoulder when I opened the envelope, making me shove him playfully.

"Drive or we'll be late."

I read the letter, the nail of my thumb stuck between my teeth.

I read it over and over.

Something about this letter felt... raw. It wasn't just the remnants of tear stains, but also the words. This V person is hurt I am with Hoseok instead of them.

••

Despite loving the movie, I couldn't help but be distracted by thoughts of this V person. Who were they? Hell, I don't even know what gender they identify as. It's not a secret that I'm demisexual. It could be anyone.

"Jungkook-ah, you've been quiet. What's up?" Hoseok spoke as he drove me home.

I turned slightly so I was facing away from him. Should I tell him? Are we that close? Tae only knows because he's been there for numerous letters being found.

"It's just these letters, hyung. I don't know who is writing them. I don't recognize the handwriting. It's just distracting, I guess."

Hoseok hummed as he pulled up in front of my house. "Well, it is distracting having an admire. I wish Min Yoongi would do something like that for me."

"Aren't you two dating already?"

Hoseok shrugged. "Yes, but that doesn't mean I don't want love letters given to me from him."

"You're so weird, hyung," I chuckled.

My hyung gave me a clap on the shoulder and a smile. "See? I was able to make you laugh. That at least was a second of a distraction from the letters."

I nodded, knowing he was right. I reached across the console and gave Hoseok a hug. "Thank you, hyung. And thank you for the movie."
