O.
"Hey, Jungkook! How did your Physics book report go?"
My best friend shrugged. "I haven't gotten a grade back yet."
I nodded. "Me neither, but how do you feel you did?"
"I think it was fine. We'll see."
I frowned at his short answers. With a sigh, I took a bite of the cardboard-like pizza on my plate. "Wanna play Overwatch tonight? My mom is making Fettucini Alfredo for dinner!"
Jungkook shook his head. "Sorry, Tae. I have a lot of homework to do."
"Oh. Okay."
Does he know about the letters?
No, I've been so careful.
"Maybe another time?" I asked with a small smile.
His eyes met mine for a second before he looked down at his phone. "Oh, yeah. Sure!"
For the first time in my life, I was happy when the bell rang, signaling that lunch was over and classes were getting ready to resume.

Jungkook POV
Exhausted after my shift, I plopped on my bed and closed my eyes for a split second before reaching for the envelope I had placed on my nightstand. This time, it was left sticking out from the doormat on my front porch.
Dearest Jungkook~
You've been acting off lately, and I can't stop pondering why.
Is it because of stress? School? Work?
Is it because you know who I am?
I feel like it's the latter. You somehow know who the author of these letters is, and has been, and you're disgusted.
You're baffled that the author is me, and you just can't wrap your head around still being around me after knowing I feel such things, and have for a while.
It's okay.
Sure, it hurts for you to not be accepting my invitations to hang out, or for you to respond with short sentences. I haven't seen you smile around me genuinely in four days.
I've been counting.
I keep trying to think about what happened four days ago, and my brain can't find a plausible solution.
Do you hate me now? It feels like you do. Maybe I'm just being overly sensitive.
I only have two more letters to write you. I would stop here, but I might as well embarrass myself some more and finish them off.
I hope you don't find me too disgusting.
Love,
V
With a small tear on my cheek, I sighed. "Oh, Tae. I could never find you disgusting."
