~Flashback

The Riolu sat on the railing, looking down with his one, emotionless eye. He had killed his mother, and now he wasn't sure what he was feeling at this point.

Suddenly, a Zorua leaped onto the railing next to him. It was Umber. "What're you doing here, Silv-I mean, Ultra?" She asked. Ultra didn't respond. She nudged him. He didn't react back at her, and stared at the ground.

"Come on, Ultra! Say something!" This made him snap out of it, and he glanced at Umber. "I...I killed my mother..." A few moments of silence passed. Neither one of them looked at each other, and simply looked down.

Then, Umber spoke. "Look, I know...how it feels at first, Ultra. My whole FAMILY had to be killed by me..." Ultra looked at her with a wide eye. She killed her entire family? Umber looked away from him.

"They...they lied to me. I thought they loved me, but it turns out that they were secretly trying to harvest my transformation power to trick the Mystic Empire. That's why...I had to turn my back on them."

Another moment of silence, only this time, Ultra spoke up. "So...you're saying that my parents were against me, and it was right that they were killed?" Umber nodded. "Our lord said so, and he's too wise to be wrong."

Ultra sighed. "...If you insist. I guess...I can't stay like this forever." Umber nodded, then she leaped back down. "Well, come on! Let me show you to the others!" Umber ran away as Ultra was still on the rail. Then, he jumped down to join her.

Ultra gripped tightly at his chest. His childhood friend, his source of comfort, had been lying to him. Now he knew. She wasn't trying to be friends with him. She was trying to USE him for a weapon of war.

Blade looked at the Lucario as the army kept marching. He looked like he wanted some revenge. This made Blade worry. 'What if he goes insane and turns on us again? An enemy like him would cause a lot of trouble.'

Blade's thoughts were interrupted when Hercules shouted for them to halt. The enemy base was right up ahead. This was it. Blade waited for the order to charge. However, everyone remained silent.

"Hercules, why aren't you-" Hercules shushed him. "We can't just rush in there and be overwhelmed. Use your head. They would obviously have vicious Ravagers guarding the entrance. That place could be poured with them."

Blade thought. It was a good thing to remember. Suddenly, Ultra spoke up. "I can sneak in there and create an entrance. By myself." Hercules raised an eyebrow at him, which made Blade cringe.

"And how do we know you're not going to set up a trap with them?" Ultra sighed. "Look, Hercules, I'm really telling the truth. They got my parents killed, and now, I have NO other choice."

Hercules glanced hard at him, then nodded. "Fine. Just don't screw it up." Ultra nodded, then head for the base with stealth. Blade watched him as he jumped on the side of the building. Hopefully, he does what he's supposed to.

Ultra crawled through the tight space in the ceiling. The fortress was HUGE! He hoped he remembered his way around the thing. Hundreds of different paths lead to every part of the massive base.

He looked at the chaos below him. Ravagers swarmed the area, on the lookout for enemies. Ultra had a few close calls. One wrong move from up there, and he would fall into a mosh pit worse then death.

He kept crawling, hoping he would find it. As if on cue, the room appeared in sight. Just a little farther. He continued to crawl until he was directly above it. Slowly, he jumped on the ceiling of the roof, and leaned his ear down.

He could hear someone inside. This made his eye open wide. He knew who it was. As stealthily as possible, he crept over to the door to the room. He was just above it. The Pokemon was exiting the room when...

CRASH!

Ultra had just launched himself at Umber. The Zoroark was caught off guard as he pinned her to the ground. "Hello, Umber." Ultra greeted her. Umber didn't reply; she was too shocked to respond.

She soon found her voice, and stammered. "U-ultra?" What're y-you doing here?" Ultra narrowed his eye. "You know. To kill all of you, after how you lied to me." Umber was silent for a while.

Ultra shook her. "You never killed your family! You only told me that to make me trust you! And now, THIS is what you're going to get!" Umber was still silent and emotionless, when all of a sudden...

She began to laugh.

"Oh Ultra, I have to admit, you've changed since the last time I saw you. We were such good friends...and now? Just sworn enemies. How tragic...for you." Ultra didn't understand what she was planning.

Suddenly, she kicked him off of her. Ultra groaned, but quickly got up. He saw that Umber was transforming into something. This made Ultra shocked. Umber NEVER transforms, unless it was her true form. As he saw Umber shift into her normal form, he was shocked.

The whole time, Umber was a Ravager Zoroark, in disguise as a normal one.

Umber let out a violent growl, then pounced at Ultra. He dodged it, but only barely. Then, he heard the other Ravagers roar. They were coming. The entire horde. He was about to be overwhelmed.

Umber stood, grinning as the Ravagers poured in from all directions. Ultra was cornered, with nowhere to go. They approached closer, ready to leap at him. Ultra realized that he would never get to see his revenge. Instead, he would be ripped apart by a thousand monsters. How cruel.

The Ravagers kept coming closer. Ultra closed his eye, awaiting his gruesome fate. Umber let out a roar of triumph as the horde was just a few yards away. Closer...closer, until...

The Ravagers were flanked from the sides by the army.

It was all happening too fast for Ultra to comprehend. The army had infiltrated the gate, and was now on the attack. Ultra saw Blade kill the Ravager Toxicroak that was about to leap at the Lucario.

"We figured you were in trouble, so we came to help." Blade said. Ultra nodded, then he caught something in the corner of his eye. Umber, the Ravager Zoroark, was escaping though a hidden door.

Ultra immediately followed her, despite Blade trying to pull him back. He ran after her, and although he was faster, she was taking more detailed routes. When he caught up with her, he saw her in a massive, empty room.

"Like this?" She snarled at him. "Your old "friends" are here. And we want you to come back to us. Come join us, while you still can." 

Ultra glanced around. He saw nothing. Until an ominous shadow dropped from the ceiling, and into a Pokemon. It had a third eye, and now stood on four feet.

Eclipse, the Gengar who created Ravagers, in Mega Ravager form.

Next, he felt a strong wind from around the room. He saw a bird Pokemon with a giant crest flying overhead. She landed next to Eclipse, and gave out a feral cry.

Whirlwind, the Pidgeot that rules the skies, in Mega Ravager form.

Then, a wave of harsh, psychic energy was released from the room. A pink Pokemon with several arms on his back snarled at Ultra.

Mental, the Medicham warrior, in Mega Ravager form.

Finally, the earth shook as a giant beast blasted his way into the room. He gave out a terrifying, dark roar that erupted through the fortress. His armor was huge.

Wrecks, the feral Tyranitar, in Mega Ravager form.

It all came back to Ultra now. Umber had lead him into another trap, and this time, it was with his former friends, who were not only Ravagers, but MEGA EVOLVED. This made Ultra angry. He wouldn't go down without a fight.

Umber and the rest gave another mixed cry of triumph, then they slowly crept at Ultra. He got into his fighting position, preparing for the oncoming attack. The enemy came closer until...

They were, yet again, ambushed.

With a cry of war, Hercules's Elite Four soldiers appeared, and they were not just here to slaughter the enemy. They were here to rescue Ultra from the horrifying enemies he was about to face.

Angel, the Absol, once a street rogue, now a warrior of justice, in Mega form.

Ruby, the Ampharos who lost her parents, yet remained nothing but cheery from the moment she was born, in Mega form.

Scorch, the Blaziken fighter that was once Hercules's best soldier, in Mega form.

Jets, the Garchomp with little wit, yet loads of power and carnage, in Mega form.

Ultra glanced at them in shock. "What're-" Angel cut him off. "Look, Ultra. Hercules told us to protect you, and we never fail."

"We were friends for a while, then enemies, and now we're friends again! It's only right that we look after each other!" Ruby exclaimed cheerfully.

"Listen, brat. I know you beat me in everything before, and I earned my place back after you betrayed us, but we're even now. Got it?" Scorch said, smirking coolly.

"I'm Jets the Garchomp! I ain't losing, I ain't failing! Why? 'Cause I'm Jets the Garchomp! I never lose!" Jets, being his dumb self, yelled.

Ultra tried to pull himself together. "You...you..." He shook it off. Now wasn't the time for this. Now it was time for battle. A battle against the enemy. "Alright, let's do this."

Then, Ultra's scarred eye glowed. It glowed bright red as an aura of power surrounded him. When it disappeared, Ultra was just as powerful as his allies. Mega Evolution. He was now a Mega Lucario once again.

Meanwhile, the enemy was preparing to attack again. Umber gave the order for the others to reform again. They took their places, waiting for the right time to attack. Ultra and the others followed suit.

Then, they charged at each other. The battle had begun.

Part one of this chapter is out. Part two will come another time. These two parts will be epic together! The battle is underway, and the end of the book draws near. Honestly, I really think it won't even be up to chapter 20. It'll probably be ending at chapter 16 to 18. I'm starting to like this book again, probably because it has some action happening now. I may update sooner, but school is just taking time away. It was a good first fanfic, but now it's finally coming to an end. ;_; So, let's wrap up this first part. Blade and the army have infiltrated the enemy's base, and Ultra discovered that Umber is, in fact, a Ravager in disguise. Then, Umber led Ultra into a trap with his former friends (They were all introduced in chapter 9), however, Hercules's elite team appeared, and now an epic battle has begun. Who will be victorious? How long will this war be, and how brutal? Find out, on the next chapter! See ya! ^D
