Asriel took their bowls to the sink, Akumu taking a place beside him to help. "Asriel, if we were to have a child... would you still love me?" Akumu suddenly asked, catching Asriel off guard as he turned to look at her. "Of course; you are my gem, the light to my world," Asriel replied, looking at her with devotion behind those words, holding her close. Akumu took a deep breath before she spoke again, her eyes filled with fear. 

"I think I am pregnant," Akumu said, tears gathering in her eyes. "W-what?" Asriel asked, stunned as he looked over her body, not seeing anything that should have revealed her pregnancy. "I don't know what it is, but I have this... feeling in my body, telling me that I am," Akumu said, sobbing slightly at the end as she held herself. "Akumu, are you sure?" Asriel asked, holding her shoulders gently as he looked at her, crouching down slightly so he could look in her crimson eyes. Akumu nodded, tears falling, prepared for Asriel to slap her and tell her to get the hell away from him.

Asriel did no such thing.

Asriel cried out in joy, swooping Akumu into his arms, spinning her around, the Umbreon looking stunned as this happened. "You are not... mad at me?" Akumu asked, stifling her tears. "Are you kidding me? This is the best news I have ever had in my life!" Asriel cried, holding Akumu close as he kissed her, only parting to smile at her, which Akumu returned happily. Akumu giggled as Asriel hugged her again, her fear completely gone. "I- we will have to prepare for their arrival! Oh my gosh, we will need a bigger house!" Asriel said everything he would need hitting him at once, making him pace as his stress skyrocketed in a heartbeat.

Akumu giggled as she caught him, holding him in place as she gently kissed him on the lips, slowly but surely calming him down. "We will figure this out, one thing at a time, okay?" Akumu said, looking up at him with a smile worth more than any diamond to Asriel, one that made him melt on the inside. Asriel nodded to Akumu, hugging her gratefully. "Sure thing, love," Asriel replied softly, hugging her again before setting the dishes aside to dry. Asriel took Akumu to his, now there, room, smiling to her as he told her to rest. "I guess I can't take any contracts for a while," Akumu giggled, but Asriel could hear the worry in her voice as she removed her cloak, revealing her naked body for a second before she covered her body with a blanket, elevated by pillows that Asriel set up for her. "Don't worry; I have more than enough saved to support both of us. You just focus on staying well, okay?" Asriel said, taking her paw in his had with a deep care for Akumu. She nodded, still worried for them and their child to be silent. "Do you need anything? I can go get it for you if you need me to," Asriel offered, making sure Akumu was comfortable. "There is something..." Akumu began, her face blushing as she gazed at Asriel, a scent filling the air, one that made Asriel freeze; it was Akumu's heat scent, which could only mean one thing.

She wanted HIM.

Asriel got himself dressed slowly, watching his love as she slept, his seed covering her chest and the bottom portion of her face. Each one was still growing well, but Asriel had to harvest his Orran and Lum berries, both plants producing a basket full of each respective berry. Smiling happily, Asriel turned to his Light root plant to see that it was flourishing perfectly, despite the negation of the morning. 'Good; I would hate to lose it now,' Asriel thought, brushing his paw-hands over the leaves, feeling that they were still waxy. Nodding in satisfaction, Asriel walked back in his cottage, thoughts of his child to be entering his thoughts calmly. 'We will need a bigger house, a safer one as well,' Asriel thought to himself, knowing that a fair amount of his equipment could hurt a baby/ young child.

Asriel sighed as he leaned against the counter, looking out to his garden from a small window, looking out at the small patch of grass for a while, just thinking before the idea hit him, a smile spreading over his muzzle with delight, knowing that it would work. 'My master left me his land and fortune as inheritance, so I could use it to build a house...' Asriel thought, smirking as ideas for a house popped into his mind for the movement. 'I will have to have the job done in four months; that is when Akumu will give birth after all,' Asriel thought, knowing that was how long it took for a baby to develop on average.

Grabbing a sheet of parchment, Asriel started to draft out a house, using a spare sheet to figure numbers, to determine the cost of all the materials needed for the project, smiling all the while.
