"You want me to do what now?" Yells ibiki Morino from the hokage tower.

"You heard me, we don't have many shinobi this year to be able to teach a genin team." Says Hiruzen Sarutobi, the current hokage.

"So what makes me a good candidate to become a teacher..... I mean seriously I torture people for a living. You want innocent kids to experience seeing that?" Ibiki asks

"Well weren't you an innocent kid once upon a time" the hokage said. Ibiki remained silent.

"Yeah thought so but for the first couple of weeks they won't see anything like that and besides aren't you running low on good interrogators, wouldn't it be nice to have new talent join the team?" The hokage asks.

'The hokage was right, we are running low on interrogators not many shinobi want to become apart of T&I. They don't want to get there hands dirty and if they do join they only stay for a couple of months before they quit because they can't handle it anymore' Ibiki thought.

The look the hokage was giving Ibiki he knew that he had won.

"So what do you say?" Asks the hokage but he already knew the answer.

"Well if this an order from the hokage then I will foloow it" Ibiki says.

"Very well, glad your on board the village thanks you" said a very happy hokage.

"So who are the Genin you want me to teach? If I have to teach they better have some potential" says Ibiki who is very curious as to want talent they can bri g to the team.

"I'll let you decide that. Scope out the graduating class, find out any you like and I will put them on your team. Sound fair?" Says the hokage who then gives me a sheet of paper.

"Yes sir, I'll find out which ones have potential to join the T&I department."

"Good dismissed" said the hokage shooing me out of the office. With that being said ibiki left the hokage tower.

Ibiki's POV

"Great how did I get myself into this mess" I say aloud to myself.

I look at the paper the hokage gave to me. It was a list os students names that were graduating this year. 'Great this is going to take awhile like in not busy enough.' I shunshined away going to the first person on the list.

~~ A few hours later ~~

It's been a couple of hours later since I began and none seem to have the potential for the T&I department. As I was taking a break on the closest bench I heard a commotion going on. With nothing better to do I check it out. What I saw shocked me which is very hard to do. I saw the kyuubi brat running away from ninja, the shocking part was that an academy student manage to outrun chunin and jounin ninja.

"Gyahaha you can't catch me" yells the blonde kid. He then pulls out something out of his bag. What he does next is a poor excuse of a disguise. He pulled out a long sheet of paper that camouflages with the fence and hides behind it. It looked terrible I mean anyone could see through that. Well at least they should have, all the ninja ran past him.

"Hehe suckers" Naruto snickered to himself.

"Is that so" iruka says tapping his foot impatiently.

"Yikes iruka sensei"

"Care to explain why your not in class?" Iruka yells

The kid doesn't have time to explain as iruka ties him up and drags him back to the academy. I follow, this is the first kid who has caught my attention and he just so happens to be on the graduating list. I hide my presents and hide amongst the trees and spy on through the window and watch the scene playing out.

"Tomorrow is the ninja school graduation exam. You have failed the last 2 times!!! This is no time to be causing trouble MORON!!" Scream iruka.

"Yeah, yeah." Was all Naruto said which made iruka snap.

"Time for a review test on henge no jutsu. Everyone line up"

"WHAT" screamed the whole class.

"Tranform perfectly into me" says iruka.

The whoke class manage to pull it off, now it was Naruto's turn. Can't wait to see what he's got.

"TRANFORM" yells Naruto. What happenes next gave me another shock. He manage to knock over his sensei using what he called his 'sexy no jutsu.' This kid is unpredictable which can be good, the enemy would have know idea what he will do next, heck I dont even know what he will do next.

"You dumbass don't invent stupid skills" yells iruka. But I don't think its stupid at all. That skilk can come in handy when gathering information in the field. Im liking this kid more and more. I circle his name on the paper. 1 candidate down 2 more to go.

HOKAGE TOWER

"So how'd your search go? Anyone interesting?" Asks the hokage.

"Yes, here's 3 students I want" I hand the hokage a piece of paper with 3 names on it.

"Let's see Kenji Amano.... Akane Akiyama and .... Naruto Uzumaki im surprised you put Naruto on the list, may I ask why? He is the dead last after all" asks the hokage.

"Yes I agree with you there but he was able to run and hide from Jounin and Chunin ninja. I can only imagine what he could do if he is probably taught" I said.

"Very well I accept your choices. That's all. Dismissed."

~~~ NARUTO'S POV ~~~ THE NEXT DAY

I failed the exam for the third time. A lot happened after I failed the exam. I beat Mizuki who tricked me into getting the forbidden scroll for him. Iruka sensei gave me his handband saying that I passed. So now im walking into my classroom awaiting my new team. I wait impatiently for my name to be called.

"Team 8 Kenji Amano, Akane Akiyama and Naruto Uzumaki. Sensei ibiki Morino. WHAT no that cant be right" iruka yelled the last part.

"Why's that sensei" asks the now formed team 8

"Ah no its nothing, don't worry" Iruka says amd continues listing off teams. "Now that, that's done you just have to wait for your new sensei to arrive."

I walk up to my knew teammates. "So what do you think out new sensei is like?" I ask.

"I have know idea, Iruka sensei freaked out, do you think that our new sensei is someone terrible?" Asks Akane-chan

"Maybe he is awesome and strong thats why iruka sensei freaked out or maybe he terrified his previous students" Kenji says the last part in a spooky voice.

"Dont say that, your scaring me" says Akane.

"Dont worry I'll protect you if anything happens" I say to her.

"You better live up to that promise kid"

We all turn to the voice that just spoke. He was a tall guy with a bandana on his head.

"I'm your knew sensei, meet me outside" was all the guy said before he puffed into smoke.

"What just happened?" Questions Akane.

"I believe we just met our knew sensei" says Kenji.

We made it outside the academy and look around for our new sensei. I finally spot him leaning on a tree.

"Guys this way" I yell at my teammates, they follow me to where our knew sensei is.

"You kids took too long"

"Sorry sensei we didn't know where you were" says Akane nervously.

"Tch whatever I dont have time for this"

"HEY THAT'S NO WAY TO TALK TO HER" I yell at our new sensei.

"And you need to learn not to be loud if your working with me" says ibiki

"I can be as loud as I want to be" i yell at him.

"No you can't, you are now a part of konoha torture and interrogation force. You will be going on stealth missions to gather information, meaning you have to be quiet to be able to sneak into places undetected because if your loud and get caught.... well let's just say it a very painful experience"

I gulped as well as the others.

"Now that I have your attention I have a test for you all, if you pass you will officially become my Genin" says ibiki

"But aren't we already Genin?" Asks Kenji.

"Not in my book, once you pass my test then I will accept you as my Genin" stated ibiki sensei.

"Great what is this test. I will pass for sure as I'm going to be hokage" I yell

"Your test is to find out as much information about me as you can" says sensei.

"Is that all?" I ask

"Believe me im a very private person, I would be surprised if you found out 3 things about me"

"So this test is rigged from the start then, your giving us an impossible task" states Kenji.

"Who cares, if I can't do a task as simple or hard as this then I can't become hokage. Let's do this" Naruto yells getting all pumped up.

"There are a few things you should know before you start.
1) You have to work by yourself.
2) You have till 6pm tonight to gather all your information. I wish you luck now go."

I see my teammates dash off in different directions. I stay seated and look up at ibiki sensei.

"What are you still doing here brat?" Asks ibiki sensei

"Will you tell me about yourself?" I ask. Ibiki raied his eyebrows in surprise. "Well you never said how we had to get information" I say.

"Well that's one of the smartest thing you said"

"HEY" I yell at him

"Relax it was a compliment"

"Tch didn't sound like a compliment" I say

"I give you credit for using the straight approach but they dont always work and besides I already said that you have to figure it out yourself" ibiki says

"Fine" was all I said and walked away.

I was walking through the streets trying to figure out what to do next, when an idea popped in my head. I hurry off to the red light district. Once there I go to my regular shop I go to, to get supplies for my pranks. He seems to know what's going on and who everyone is. He also is one of the few people who don't hate me because of the fox.

"Hey Gin you here" I yell out entering his shop.

"In back Naruto, what do you need this time, I didnt think that the paint I gave you that you would paint the hokage monument" Gin says.

"Haha yeah that was fun you should have seen everyone's faces, it was hilarious" I say back.

"Haha I bet, so what can I do for yah?" Asks Gin

"I need information on ibiki, he's my knew sensei but to pass his test I need information about him"

"Ah I see, way to make the test hard, he's a very private person" he says

"Yeah that what he said but I knew you would be the right person to come to for information, your the best of the best, atleast thats what I think. So do you have anything on him?" I ask

"Well your praise goes a long way. of course I have intel on him but its gonna cost yah"

"I know that, I've known you for a long time to know that you want something in exchange, let it be money or a favour, so what do you want in exchange??" I ask knowing that nothing's free in life.

"I have nothing I need as of right now, so how about a favour in the near future, I'll tell you when the time comes. How does that sound?" Gin asks

"Deal" I say

"Great here's everything I know of him" he hands me a scroll

"Thanks I appreciate it" I say and run out the store. That was easy and my teammates and ibiki sensei thought it was going to be hard. I open the scroll and read it. Looks good enough to pass. Leaving the red light district I bump into my teammates.

"Hey whats wrong with you guys?" I ask cause they look sad and depressed.

"We can't find anything on him" Kenji says

"Yeah its like he doesn't exist, we've asked around about him but nothing. How'd you go?" Akane asks

"Good I already gathered intel on him" I say holding up the scroll.

"WHAT, HOW?" The both say at the same time.

"I know a guy" was all I said

"Come on give us something, we can't go back to the academy" Kenji practically begs.

"What no, he said to work by ourselves" I say trying to get Kenji of off me.

"Please Naruto help us" said Akane giving me the puppy dog look.

"Arg fine I may know how to get more intel on ibiki sensei"

"Really!?" Says kenji

"So you'll help us" asks Akane.

"Yup so what I've read in the scroll, he has a partner named Anko and I just so happen to know her and where she is right now" I say.

"Really where is she and how do you know her?" They both ask

"Long story, I'll explain later but she's at the shinobi bar" I say. I really couldn't be bothered to explain how I knew her.

"What how can we get in there, we are under age?" Akane asks

"Simple one of us use the transformation technique and talk to her." I say like it is the most easiest thing in the world, which I guess for me it is.

"Simple? Really? I don't think I could do that" Kenji says

"Sure you can its easy" I say.

"If it's so easy, why don't you do it" says Kenji

"Because I'm not the one who needs to get information on ibiki sensei" I say in a matter of fact voice.

"NO please I'm sorry we need your help our transformation technique are illusions if someone bumps into us it disappears while yours are solid" what Kenji says is true.

"Well thats true. Fine I'll do it but you have to do something in return for me" I say coping Gin.

"If it's in my power I'll do it" Keniji says

"Same here" says Akane.

"So how are you going to get in there. What if your henge fails?" Kenji says

"Oh didnt I tell you, I work at the bar" I say.

"WHAT" both scream out. Surprised.

"Yeah how do you think I know Anko and where she is right now? She'll be drinking away right now which will make it easier to get information out of her" I say

"Why do you even work at a bar, your underage, does anyone even suspect that your actually a 12 year old boy" asks Akane.

"No, no one suspects anything and as for why I work there, it's because I needed money for rent and bills. The money the hokage gives me is not a lot and I also still have to pay for food but as I was walking the streets at night I happen to come across a WANTED sign in the window. I was desperate so I used a henge and started working there" I say

"Your 12 years old and you have to pay for bills and rent?" Questions Kenji.

"Well yeah I'm an orphan, who else is going to pay?" I ask

"Good point" they both say.

"It's nearing 6pm we better hurry" I say, we run to the bar.

"Alright wish me luck" I say and henge myself. My henge looks like myself except I'm taller and older looking and I have black hair and no whisker marks. I enter the bar.

"Yo Menma its not your shift today is it?" Asks Kiki, she owns the bar.

"No no I just came for a drink" I say

"Rough day huh?" She asks.

"You have know idea" I lie.

"Well drink to your hearts content, although your still paying for the drinks" says Kiki

"Of course" I say, I mean you really don't want to be in debt with her, I've seen what happpens to people who don't pay of their TAB or if they get in a fight and brake things. I tell you it gets scary.

I go to the bar and order a drink and yes I know I'm 12 but I mean who works at a bar and doesn't drink. Besides once your a ninja you are legally an adult and can go to a bar and drink. Although I still have to pass this test to be able to legally drink. ' Okay stop rambling and get on with the task' I thought to myself. With drink in hand I look around, I find Anko in the back eating dango and drinking. I walk up to her.

"Yo Anko been awhile" I say to her and take a seat across from her.

"Menma it's you I missed you" Anko drunkly says and hugs me.

"Has anyone ever told you that when your drunk you become clingy?" I question. She always does this, its annoying for me.

"Everytime I see you" she says

"Well you do cling to anyone, boy or girl whoever is near"

"What can I say, I'm lonely" here's my chance

"What Ibiki not treating you right?" I ask

"Tch he's always busy" she says hugging me tighter. I try to get out of her hold but I can't, which is a given considering she's a Jounin and I'm almost a Genin.

"Really doing what?" I question.

"You know... interrogating people"

"Hmmm I see, what else?"

"Hmm well I dont think he knows that I know but he does have a younger brother, he pays someone to watch him and gives him reports about him." She says right before she passes out.

"Gee what am I suppose to do with you" I say out loud to myself.

"I know, take her home, it won't be the first time" says Kiki. Great timing as always. This is why I said it was annoying.

"True but I'm busy, I need to be somewhere at 6" I say to my boss.

"It should take you a few minutes she doesn't live far." I was about to protest but she gave me a look, a scary one.

"Ok, ok" I say and put Anko on my back and take her outside.

"Naruto how'd it go?" Akane says running towards me.

"And why do you have Anko past out on your back?" Questions Kenji.

"Long story but I have to take her home, you guys go ahead"

"But Naruto if your late you don't pass and all of this is for nothing" Akane says

"Don't worry about it, I'll make it, here take this" I toss the scroll over to them.

"Thank you so much Naruto I owe you one" Kenji says

"Yes you do" I say and start walking to Anko's house.

"You better make it in time" yells Akane. I smile, glad I have teammates who don't hate me or find me annoying. I drop Anko off at home, unhenge and run to the meeting place.

It's exactly 6 when I make it.

"Glad you can finally make it Naruto, 15 more seconds and I woukd have disqualified you" said Ibiki sensei.

"Yeah well it was a pain in the ass getting information about you" I say huffing and puffing with all the lifting and running I had to do to get here.

"Yes I saw"

"WHAT" we all yell.

"Well I had to see how you all gather information, which you all relied on Naruto I see, what do I do with you two?" Ibiki asks

"Wait you can't send them back to the academy" I say

"And why's that?" Questions Ibiki

"I know you said we can't help each other out but you also said we have to get information about you any way possible, which they did, they used me and my skills to get themselves the information they needed so if you think about it they got the information themselves" I finish, it went all quiet for a few seconds, then Ibiki sensei laughs.

"Well that's one way to think about it. Nice going kid, finding a loophole like that, didn't think you could figure something like that out but now it all depends on the information you gathered and if it's good enough to pass, so go ahead tell me what you got" ibiki asks.

"Go on read the scroll I gave you" I say.

"Alright here goes. Name Ibiki Morino, age 27 born March 20th" Renji started and then gave Akane the scroll.

"Blood type A, weight about 88kg, he's the head of the Konoha Torture and interrogation force" finished Akane. They all look at me.

"You have a younger brother that doesn't live in the village anymore, you have someone spy on him and he gives you the info on him." I finish. For a split second he looked shocked but covered it up quickly.

"Very good. You have all passed. Meet me tomorrow at the front of the T&I department at 7am. Dismissed." Ibiki says and starts walking away.

"ALRIGHT LET'S CELEBRATE" yelled Kenji.

"I'll catch up, I have to talk to Ibiki sensei for a bit" I say back, they both nod their head and continued walking.

"What is it kid" asks Ibiki sensei

"Well you said that you watched us pretty much since the start of the test so that means you know my other persona. Correct?"

"Yes I'll admit I was a bit surprised to find out that you are menma that the other shinobi talk about. I hear your good company and listen to people's problems that's why your well liked I suppose and I thank you for taking Anko home when she's passed out drunk, any others would just leave her" Ibiki sensei says

"Yeah well I'm not the kind of man to leave anyone behind even when they're passed out drunk but that's not why I wanted to talk to you. I want you to keep my other life a secret. I need the money and if Kiki found out that I'm 12 years old and fooled her.... I don't even want to know what she would do to me" I say feeling scared just thinking about it.

"Yeah I get what you mean she's a scary women. But I'll keep your secret for now but you know your a Genin now so you will get paid more"

"I know but I'll like to stick with it for a bit. Is that ok?" I ask

"Fine but it better not interfere when working with me" he says

"Of course not" I say.

"Good. See you tomorrow and don't be late" Ibiki sensei says

"Yes" was all I said and run to catch up to my teammates to celebrate passing the test and becoming genin.
