She walked through the gilded streets of Alkalam with her head down. She did not want to be noticed, for when you are is feared and respected as the she was, you learned not to mess with dragons.

They were the great rulers of the land, only beatable by a wizard and a highly skilled one at that. So Reyana kept her head down, because she wished not to make a scene.

She had told herself that dragons were cruel and soulless creatures, but she never turned away someone in need. So this, my friends, is why reyana was walking through Alkalam that day.

Because somebody needed help.

It did not matter to reyana if this someone was a dragon. She did not like bullies, so she set out to do the impossible.

She was going to kill the dragon king.

Now, you may be wondering why on earth would she plan on doing that. Well friends, let me tell you the story of the blood king.

Before the blood king was his father, who was a kind and fair dragon and a just ruler. But his son, who is known commonly as the blood king, though his real name was Danienem, was a ruthless killer. When he grew to be larger than his father he challenged the good king, killing his father and claiming the thrown. To this day he rules, and in his clutches is his only offspring, his daughter safira.

So there you have it, the reason Reyana was in Alkalam. Because Safira could not defeat her father alone and Reyana was the only wizard who would help her.
