10.

Legolas had almost fallen asleep when Aragorn once more returned. When the door opened the sunlight stung Legolas eyes, and he slowly sat up. His hand covered his eyes until Aragorn closed the door.

"Did I wake you?" Aragorn asked nervously, afraid he did.

"No." Legolas lied and held himself up with one hand as he massaged his new awakened eyes with the other. He moved himself so he sat leaned against the wall, arms crossed over his still sore stomach. It still aced.

"Legolas..." Aragorn sighed and sat down on his own bed, leaning forward on his elbows.
"We need to talk about what would have happened if Gléomer hadn't interrupted us before."

"Let us not talk about it Aragorn." Legolas said and slowly sat up to lean forward like Aragorn, his elbows against his knees, his whole expression nervous. What if Aragorn really did not feel the same? What if he just missed Arwén? Many thoughts went through his mind, but they were all just excuses he realised.

"Let's just do what we would have done if Gléomer hadn't interrupted us."

Aragorn looked at Legolas, trying to see if he was joking or not. Surely Legolas didn't mean that, considering the consecvenses.

Immediately Legolas felt nervous and unnoticed began to fiddle with his skirt. Would this be the time Aragorn rejected him?
"Don't you want to?" He asked, suddenly feeling the panic rise. What if he had just imagined it all?

Aragorn looked at him for a moment, express less, before he rose to sit on Legolas bed. Legolas looked at the man who sat down beside him and swallowed nervously. He immediately felt his heartbeat speed up, like it always did when Aragorn got too close.

The man looked into his eyes for a moment, until he slowly rose a hand to feel the soft skin of Legolas cheek with his fingertips. Legolas tried to breathe deeply as he looked at the man in front of him, so he wouldn't pass out. He felt like he would pass out.

The air around them was so fragile they were afraid that talking would break it.

Aragorn lay his palm flat against Legolas cheek and his index finger along his ear. His thumb lay against Legolas lower lip as he cupped his cheek gently. The warm skin filled his palm and he felt the butterflies in his stomach he never felt around Arwén anymore.

He looked at his thumb laying against Legolas lower lip, and felt a desire to kiss them. He wanted to so badly, but knew it would change everything. He knew he shouldn't cheat on Arwén, but he couldn't break up with her when he was away and it would take too long to go back now. 'She'll never know if I kiss Legolas now..." He thought and looked into his blue eyes again.

Legolas was getting impatient and nervous when Aragorn did not do anything. It looked like he had a fight with himself, making him doubt. And when he doubted, so did Legolas.

"Aragorn..I don't forge you to." He said softly and felt the hand disappeared from his cheek. He immediately missed the contact and saw Aragorn immediately regretted the action.

The man instead grabbed Legolas both hands in his, holding his bigger hands around the slightly smaller ones protectively. He looked down at their hands, before he looked up at Legolas through his eyelashes.

"Legolas, you have no idea how much I would love to kiss you right now." He whispered honestly and bit his lip nervously, but accidentally hot.

Legolas felt his heart make a jump at the sudden statement and smiled nervously. 'I would also love you to kiss me Aragorn.'

"Then do it."

Aragorn looked up at him with slightly widened eyes, like he couldn't believe his ears. Legolas really wanted him to kiss him? He had never felt happier, but couldn't bring himself to smile. Somewhere he knew their relationship would be troubled, but also somewhere he knew they would make it. Somehow.

Legolas he realised, and the hurt returned to his eyes.
"Arwén is what stops you."

Aragorn looked into Legolas eyes, and realised Legolas had misunderstood the cause of his doubt. He loved Arwén, but not as much as he loved Legolas. A sister would be the wrong word, but he did not love her romantically. He also knew that everything would be against his and Legolas love. Their gender, their fathers and Legolas immortality. Mostly his immortality. The pain will be so great Legolas will have to fight against the seagulls calls.

Finally, after too many excuses he made up his mind. He loved Legolas, and if he did not do this now he would regret it forever. They would solve every problem they got together.

He slowly scooted closer to Legolas so their thighs touched, and the elf looked at him expectedly. Where their legs touched a fire burned, making their hearts beat faster. He rose his hands to hold both sides of Legolas face, looking deeply into his blue eyes which looked back at him expectingly.

His fingertip accidentally touched the pointy ear tip, making the elf shudder a little as he touched (one of 😏) the most sensitive parts of his body. Legolas felt his heart beat so hard he was afraid it would burst. The warm feeling of Aragorn's skin against his and his face so close to one another. He felt the butterflies in his body only Aragorn gave him.

Aragorn slowly brought his face closer, and soon their nose tips touched. They felt each other's breaths on their skin and felt their lust grow by each second. All Aragorn needed to do was to tip his face a bit upwards and their lips would connect. He was about to do that when;

"Lord Aragorn."

Aragorn squeezed his eyes shut and Legolas chuckled softly, his heartbeat calming down a little. That was intense.

"Can't you get some alone time in here?" Aragorn groaned irritated and rose from the bed to answer the door. Legolas chuckled quietly and curiously looked towards the door.

Déorwyn smiled shyly as he opened and Aragorn faked a smile at the girl, already feeling annoyed.
"Déorwyn, why do I own the pleasure?"

"We are having a bonfire tonight. It will be food and music. You should come, and bring someone." She said and nervously fiddled with a string of hair that had escaped her braid.

"I don't think your uncle would appreciate it, but thank you." He smiled and prepared to close the door when she spoke up again.

"Duinhir is like a dog, he knows how to growl but he won't bite. Please join us, and bring someone." She repeated and he understood what she wanted.

"I won't come. I'll stay with Legolas until we leave tomorrow."

She covered up her disappointment with a small smile and bowed before she left. Aragorn closed the door with a deep sigh. He couldn't avoid to see the hurt in her eyes. Why did almost every girl he meet want him? He hated to break their hearts.

"Legolas..."

"Aragorn you must not go with her of you don't want to." Legolas said and smiled sadly.
"He can't forge you."

"I would ask you to go with me." Aragorn said and sat down on Legolas bed, looking at him expectingly.

"I would love to." Legolas whispered and looked up at the man, who met his gaze with a smile.
"We can go to that bonfire Aragorn, and leave tomorrow. I can walk."

"I know you can." Aragorn chuckled and raised one hand to lay on top of Legolas, making him smile.
"You're stubborn."

Legolas smiled wider, before he frowned slightly.

"Aragorn where do you think Arod and Brego is right now?" He asked and smiled sadly. His eyes showed the worry he felt in his heart.
"I hope they are alright, they were really frightened."

"Legolas, they're fine. Probably back in Rivendell by now." Aragorn said and smiled calmingly.
"Probably begging at the stableboy for some carrots."

Legolas laughed, and felt all of his dread go away. The sound made Aragorn smile.

"Now, let me just do this."

Aragorn lay his hand behind Legolas neck and tilted his head to press their lips together quickly. He did not want them to be interrupted again.

Legolas was a bit surprised by the sudden act, but really not unhappy. His mind just shut off, and all of his sense left him. Instincts took over, and he raised a hand to place on Aragorn's cheek, feeling the beard tickle him.

He closed his eyes and kissed back, feeling the butterflies in his stomach grow to fully grown eagles. He was a bit aggressive, but still loving. All of the build up lust and desire was finally let out, as their lips swiped over each other.

He had always wondered what it would be like to kiss Aragorn, and now he could easily say it was amazing. He tasted..like Aragorn did, he could not explain it. He wondered if he had a specific taste that affected Aragorn the same way? He hoped.

Aragorn slowly broke the kiss, their lips lingering as if he did not want to break it.
"I love you." He whispered and brought their lips together again. They kissed again before they eventually broke apart for air.

Aragorn's hand never left Legolas neck, and his fingers curved slightly as if to hold on. He eyed Legolas lips again, which was now red and slightly swollen like his own. Legolas slowly opened his eyes to look at the man, slightly dazed. Aragorn smiled and gently took lay a hand on Legolas waist.
"You have no idea how long I have wanted to do that."

Legolas chuckled and looked down, before he looked up to meet Aragorn's gaze. The man found himself lost in Legolas sea blue blue. They seemed to never end.

Legolas opened his mouth to reply, to notice his mouth was dry. He swallowed before he answered, the smile back in his lips.

"I love you too."

Aragorn smiled, had wanting to hear those words for so long.

"We will solve everything, trust me Legolas."

The elf's eyes darkened a little at the thought of all problems. All of his senses finally came back, and he almost regretted it. If it wasn't for the taste left on his lips he probably would have.

He nodded.
"I promise Aragorn, we will solve everything."

The man smiled and nodded, getting another kiss in response.

~~~~~~~~~~~
When Legolas and Aragorn exited the house they immediately saw a big Bon fire. All people were gathered around it, playing music, eating or dancing in pairs.
"Legolas, may I?" Aragorn asked and held out a hand. Legolas smiled and grabbed the hand, and Aragorn gently dragged him with him.
They immediately got looks as they entered the crowd hand in hand, but simply decided not to care.
They sat down in the grass beside the fire, Legolas leaning his head on Aragorn's shoulder. He was still in more pain then he wanted to admit to Aragorn. He liked to see him smile, and he would not ruin his mode. He had already caused Aragorn too much pain, and he deserved to enjoy himself for a while. He could easily hide the pain, like he had done many times before.
Aragorn obliviously lay an arm around his waist, holding him against his as Legolas leaned his whole body against him.
"Tell me when you get tired alright?" Aragorn said gently and Legolas smiled at the concern.
"Of course."
Déorwyn sat down beside Aragorn suddenly, and smiled widely.
"I'm glad you could come."
"It's a nice fire." Aragorn said and chuckled, trying to hide his irritation towards the girl. He heard Legolas sigh softly and he bit the inside of his chin not to sigh himself.
"Who did you bring?" She asked and Aragorn tightened his arm around Legolas shoulder.
You could see the surprise and hurt in her eyes before he caught herself and smiled.
"That's cute."
Aragorn gently nodded his head once sideways and smiled in agreement.
Legolas chuckled and looked up.
"You know I'm awake right?"
Aragorn chuckled and gently rubbed Legolas shoulder with the arm he has around his back.
"Yes I know you're awake." He said and leaned down to capture Legolas lips in a gentle kiss, leaning back too quick for Legolas to really react. The elf looked at him in surprise, before he smiled softly.
Déorwyn blinked her tears away and stood, quickly leaving the feast.
Aragorn and Legolas had been sitting and talking for a while when Gléomer joined them. When the healer sat down besides Aragorn the man smiled a real smile.
"Gléomer."
"Aragorn. Legolas." The healer nodded and smiled.
"Glad you could join us."
"We're happy to. No dancing for us though." Aragorn said and smiled.
"Legolas wounds still need to heal a bit more."
"Good thought." Gléomer smiled and leaned back on his arms, enjoying the warmth.
"Aragorn, you can still dance if you want to." Legolas smiled amused. He could definitely imagine Aragorn dancing by himself.
"No Legolas I'll stay here with you." He smiled and Legolas smiled back before leaning against him again.
Legolas gently traced Aragorn's bony knuckles with his fingers, making the man look down at their hands.
He looked up again, and saw all the people drinking and dancing. The music played from the opposite side of the fire, and the sun began to set, making the fire give them a light red colour.
"This fire is very nice Gléomer." Said Aragorn and smiled. His hand sneaked around Legolas back to land on his shoulder. Legolas smiled and leaned against the man heavier, and without meaning to he eventually fell asleep.
