Chapter Four: Explaining And Training

I opened my eyes, my head hurt like crazy and I groaned in pain. My vision started adjusting to what I was seeing, all my friends stood in front of me with worried looks. "Guys?" I asked, my voice was harsh and I felt very weak. They all looked at me astonished, "Oh my god (y/n)! We thought you weren't gonna wake up!" Frisk kneeled down beside me, I just now realized I was laying down. "What? Where am I?" I sat up and looked around, it was nothing but white, like an endless void. Frisk chuckled nervously and rubbed the back of her head, "The void. That's where we are. Remember I said that we had someone for you to meet? Well he lives here." she motioned around the emptiness. I was confused, "What? What do you mean Frisk?" I looked at everyone else and they just stood there awkwardly. I scoffed, "You guys aren't making any sense!" I yelled and stood up, I narrowed my eyes at my friends and growled. "Why is all of this even happening?!" I yelled, I was angry at my friends for what was happening, even if it wasn't their fault. Suddenly I felt a hand touch my shoulder, I spun around and saw something that made my eyes widen and almost make me fall. A skeleton stood in front of me,

I started breathing heavily, scared of this creature. Frisk held onto my arm, noticing how I was shaking in fear, she tried to calm me down. "(Y/n) please calm down. This is the friend I wanted you to meet." she held me tight so I couldn't move. Frisk sighed, "Look. Ink, this is (y/n).... she uhhh.... Heard us talking about 'stuff'." she talked casually to the skeleton. He nodded his head, "Hello (y/n). I'm Ink...... Frisk how much do I need to erase?" he asked Frisk. She shook her head frantically, "No! Ink, I don't want to erase her memories." Frisk looked at Ink with pleading eyes, after a moment he sighed. "What other choice do we have? She can't go telling anyone about this." Ink looked a bit annoyed.

I backed up behind Frisk, still shaking. "I thought she might be able to become one of us...." Frisk tried to reason with Ink, he thought for a moment then sighed. "That's a lot of information." he grumbled, "Fine. But she needs to calm down first so we can explain." Ink smiled warmly. I fell onto my butt, "Ow!" I groaned, making sure not to break eye contact with the skeleton. He laughed, "(y/n) was it?" he asked, "You want to know everything don't you?" he asked another question. I slowly nodded my head, not sure whether or not to trust Ink, but something about him made me feel safe.

"Well to start..... Your friends here are part of the guardians of the AUs... What are AUs? They are alternate universes, different versions of your universe. And the guardians protect them.... From evil versions of us. Frisk wants you to join us.... And become a guardian." Ink smiled, he held out his hand to help me up, which I took and stood up beside him. Frisk smiled, "It's hard to explain." she hugged me tightly and sighed happily. I slowly nodded, "Okay......." I took a deep breath in and sighed, calming myself down.

(Time skip a few months. After explaining and training.)

I smiled at my friends, only Amanda and Julie and Frisk could make it to training for the day. I was the only one of the guardians that didn't have powers, so I trained with a sword for a weapon. Julie smirked, "Let's dance." she put her headphones over her ears and turned a knob that raised the volume. Her hair faded to white and her eyes glowed a bright red, glass shards formed around her and pointed at me with their shining tips.

Music sounded around me as the area got darker, I smiled. "Hit me." I taunted Julie, she just grinned wickedly in response. I drew my sword, the handle had a carved skull on it, which I did when I first got it. Julie laughed, a bright blue glowing dj set appeared right in front of her, she slammed her hand down on the record spinner and scratched the disc. She flipped a few switches and a beat started playing, she held a hand on her head and started bobbing her head to the beat. The glass shards that surrounded her suddenly flew at me, I dodged them with ease and held my sword out, ready for her next attack. Julie kept messing with her dj booth, glowing blue music notes floated around her, they spun and danced with the music, all while sharpening their points to almost daggers. I chuckled, the music notes charged at me and I blocked them with my sword, they fell to the floor, making metal clicking sounds as they did. "That the best you got?!" I taunted Julie, she shook her head and looked up at me. Her eyes blazed, music disks appeared around me, they spun around in place rapidly. I widened my eyes, they were like saws, and if I couldn't block or Dodge them then they would do some serious damage. Julie spun her finger in a circle motion and the music disks charged at me, I ducked down as they zoomed past my head and crashes into one another. Julie cursed under her breath, "Fine. You win. I'm done." she said as her hair turned back to normal and everything she had summoned disappeared.

I smiled in victory, sort of sad I couldn't actually fight her. But that was Julie's best move, she was great at long distance fighting, but closer up was harder for her. This time I could fight Amanda, and I've never actually seen her fight before. She stepped up and took Julie's place, she kneeled down onto the floor and stopped smiling.

She closed her eyes and the area went dark again, slightly glowing pink and purple as it did. Ribbons escaped from her back and appeared beside her, flower petals started falling, creating an amazing scene for a fight. Amanda looked up at me, but didn't smile, her ribbons flew at me from different angles. I ducked to avoid one, noticing another grab my ankle I cut it with my sword, two others flew at me which I dodged easily. The ribbon left around my ankle glowed, the cut end glowed and reconnected to Amanda. This time she smirked, the ribbon dragged at me, causing me to fall onto my back, almost completely helpless. But I swung my sword and cut it, making sure to remove the rest so it didn't regrow. The ribbons came at me like bullets, I had to swing my sword around frantically to make sure none of them got close to me, but they just kept coming back at lightning speed.

Amanda just sat on the ground, I slowly progressed towards her, continuously cutting the ribbons. Flowers appeared around her head, creating a beautiful flower crown, and she stood up. Amanda started slowly walking towards me, not once did the ribbons stop flinging at me as she walked. I had no choice but to back up, her attacks were too strong. Flowers started emerging from the ground beneath her feet, glowing and encasing Amanda in a bright ball of light. I gasped as the ball of light exploded, showing Amanda in a new dress with angel wings. "Holy shit." I said in astonishment,

A

manda started crying, a ribbon wrapped around her finger and started to glow. I backed up, grasping my sword a readied to fight, but she didn't fight, Amanda just stood there looking sad. "Just be friends." she spoke softly, then flowers popped up beside me and shot beams of light up. They hit each other above me and exploded into pink sparkles that rained over me. As they fell I watched in pure awe, but that didn't last long as the sparkles all of a sudden solidified into poles of light, they built themselves into a cage around me. I growled, swinging my sword at the cage bars, they shattered, I ran out of the crumbling cage and straight for Amanda. She looked up at me with wide eyes, I chuckled and swung my sword, stopping inches from her neck. "I win." I said smugly, Amanda looked at me shocked, "H-how?" she asked.

I smiled, dropping my sword down to my side and letting Amanda transform back into herself. Frisk looked at me astonished, "Even I can't beat Amanda." she smiled and walked up to me, playfully punching my shoulder. Amanda went to stand next to Julie as Frisk took her spot, I backed away to where I was supposed to stand. Frisk's red soul appeared in front of her,

she touched her finger tips and waited a moment. But the area didn't darken, so she looked around annoyed, "Why won't it work?" she asked no one specifically and her soul floated back into her chest. Ink appeared next to her, "Training's over." he said and leaned against his large paint brush. "So who won the first two?" he asked Frisk, "(y/n). Both times." she answered with pride. I smiled, feeling happy I was impressing someone. Ink widened his eye sockets, "Both times? I thought Amanda would've won her fight." he admitted and scoffed. Frisk shook her head, "Even Amanda was surprised." she pointed to Amanda. I grinned happy with my work.

That's the end of this chapter! I know.... Another short chapter and I'm sorry. But I'm running out of ideas. Anyway! I hope you liked it! See ya in the next chapter!
