he was tired.
a bottle of emptied soju hung loosely between his fingers that barely had strength in them anymore. legs stumbled on cracked pavements, threatening to give way any moment now. with incomprehensible mumbles slipping from his lips every now and then, the boy wished he would just collapse. but something was stopping him — he was still alert, and he didn't know why. didn't want to know why. just hoped for sleep to claim him as soon as possible.
park jimin didn't want to spend another second in this damned, wretched life.
on most days, alcohol that burned his throat burned the worries away as well. those sleepless nights, burdened with the heavy weight of problems that seemed to find him a vulnerable target, were gone with the alcohol. but tonight... not tonight. 5 bottles of soju down, and he was still wide awake, albeit taking unstable steps.
he still wanted to yell and cry.
and he would, he really would, just that there was no one there to listen to him.
jimin wouldn't classify himself as a wasted lad, though. he was a fine young man, one that treated life seriously. maybe too seriously. he worked out on a regular basis, had gatherings with friends every now and then, earned a good sum of money from his full-time job.
yet, he felt so alone.
friends weren't really friends, money couldn't really buy genuine happiness. in this busy lifestyle, perhaps what he really wanted was peace. quietness. or the sound of raindrops splattering softly against glass windows. the glass windows that he used to press his nose against when he was 7 years old. felt the cool that seemed to make his troubles dissipate into nothingness.
he missed all that innocence.
too lost in his thoughts, jimin wasn't aware of stepping out into the main roads until a car honked. headlights blinded him, causing him to raise his arms instinctively to block the light out. among all that confusion and shock, a part of him actually wished to be knocked down.
bang.
