It had been years since I had seen nightmare, he never dared leave his hiding place. I could feel his power growing every day, now it felt wicked and dark ever since he had been banished. I had trained every day since I gained my strength back preparing incase he showed his face again, we have been hiding from mankind that hunter us for experiments. I looked across the place I called home, James sat next to me his suit was a wolf suit we had found in Nightmares old factory. No one had seen Nightmares army ever since they vanished with their master, I felt a storm brewing. Clouds were slowly covering the sky and we ran to the cave in which we now lived, everyone had grown accustomed to calling my Nightmarione now that I was permanently in the form. My eyes were now fully white again but whenever I used my powers they went red, I was still sore from the fight I had all those years ago. My scars only proved the battle was real, shadow Freddy came up to me.
"Hey how are you healing up?" He asked, it was his every day question.
"I am fine and well prepared if nightmare shows his ugly face again," I joked, in reality I was still sore and exhausted but if they knew that they would worry. Freddy thought he forever had to make things up to me after I saved him from nightmare, I always had to tell him it was ok or he would panic. Rain began to pour down trapping us in the cave, I watched it pour down. I had a fear nightmare would heal faster then me, if he did I wouldn't have the strength to fight him. James pulled from my thoughts, we headed deeper into the cave to keep away from the rain. Our eyes were like lights in the dark, remembering the awful room nightmare had drained my power I winced and ran out unable to control my shaking. Shadow Freddy was at my side in an instant, I shook my head panicking unable to shake the memory.
"Nightmarione calm down it's just a memory you are safe he is gone don't do this to me again," shadow Freddy begged, I looked at him and nodded. Every time something reminded me of Nightmares tortures I panicked stuck in the memory, he left scars that wouldn't heal. Shadow Freddy and golden Freddy were the only ones who were able to pull me from the memories so far as it was them who had been there wishing my on a giving me strength just from their faith, I shook myself of the memory and refused to even look at the deeper end of the cave.
"I-I can't do it," I sat down on a rock out of reach from the rain, I just wanted to be alone and they knew it. They went deeper into the cave to explore it, the rain was heavy but it soothed me. I didn't know when they would return but I stood, I held my hand out to the rain. It was cold and thanks to my difference it didn't damage me, it was nice I didn't dare go out into it incase it got into my open wounds that were still healing. I accidentally moved my arm out too far and water got into a scar, I expected pain but it soothed it. It stung a bit but since I was stuck in my nightmare form I took thinks differently then the others, for instance I didn't need fabric I healed over time. I was more real then any of them, a sudden pain struck my head causing my to panic as it was familiar. He was in my head after so many years, I calmed down and he spoke.
"Each day I grow stronger and my scars have all almost healed, I am coming for you once I have all my strength so be ready," he promised, the others just returned and seeing my face they knew something was wrong.
"H-he was in my h-head after so many years I-I-I......." I trailed off almost panicking, I couldn't take it after so many years he still wanted revenge for his banishment.
"Shhh calm down and tell us what he said," shadow Freddy soothed, I nodded and calmed down a bit.
"H-he said that he is growing stronger and that once he has all his strength back he is coming for me......" I began to panic again, I pushed them all away and walked towards the rain.
"Nightmarione?" Shadow Freddy began but I ignored him, looking into the rain I sighed.
"I know I am going to have to fight him again, when I am ready I will let him find me but he will not find you....." I began, the glanced at each other wondering what I meant.
"None of you will come with me..." I continued, immediately they jumped to their feet.
"That's absurd we are your friends...... your family," Freddy interrupted me, I turned to face them silencing them.
"This battle will be to the death as nightmare plans to not give up until his final malfunction don't you get it! It will be me or him and if I fail you all then I don't want him to find you promise me you will stay far away from the battle and never let him find you! Promise me!" I snapped, they winced.
"We promise," they all said at once, I sighed and turned back to the rain.
"If I fail I couldn't bare to have it been only so you get captured and drained, nightmare doesn't know that even if I..... die, he will still have his power and if it were in reverse I wouldn't loose my power, he has only now figured this out and will hunt me down until I show myself to him and fight him until either of us fail, the victor will live the loose dies, I know I won't be as strong this time but I will fight for you all, just know that, I'm not who I used to be," I explained, they were confused as I turn to look at them. They gasped in shock, it has already begun.
