Steve and the six others stood down in the mine. Steve had asked Jay why they needed to go to the Witch's hut, but he had only answered with "Follow me."

Now, they stood in a small room in the mine that looked like it may have been an office at one point. But who would want an office down in a mine?

There was a book and quill on a table in the office. Jay walked over to it, then handed it to Steve.

"Read it," Jay said.

Steve took the book and read the first page.

Madge's Diary

I have discovered the secret. I know how to control monsters. Of course, I had a little help from a young couple and my helper, but I did most of the work.

I can control monsters.

     *          *          *

Day 1

I tested my theory out on a Slime today. It actually listened to me. But, after I let it go, it seemed angry. Like it didn't like being controlled.

     *          *          *

Day 2

Mojang has recruited me and the young couple I work with. They want to control monsters so they can make the world "safer". But I can see right through them. They just want to control the world. Well I won't let them. I'll stop them.

     *          *          *

Day 3

They made me harness a great amount of the energy required to control monsters. While doing that, I did something horrible on accident. But I didn't tell them.

I brought Herobrine back.

     *          *          *

Day 10

I haven't had time to write lately. They've been keeping me busy. They can control monsters now. They just need a little more time.

     *         *          *

Day 35

I fear they will learn of this diary. I cannot let that happen. I am sending it back to my helper, who will hide it in a secure place.

Besides, only she knows how to reverse the monster controlling.

Steve gasped. Scullscan and Cupcake had been reading over his shoulder, and they gasped too.

"We do have to go there," Steve said.

"Alright, let's go then," Jay said.

"But what about Creektown? According to this book, the hut is in Sector 48. That's the complete opposite direction than the one we need to be going in," Steve countered.

"Well...maybe we could split up?" Jay suggested.

"Oh no," Scullscan cut in. "I had a vision of us splitting up, and it did not end well."

"Since when has this guy been having visions?" Jay asked.

Steve and Scullscan briefly explained the vision.

"Well," Jay said. "You probably shouldn't argue with a vision. It says to split up, so we split up."

"But--" Scullscan started protesting.

"Here, who votes we split up?" Jay asked.

He, Kirai, Cupcake, and Dee raised their hands.

"And who votes we don't?" Jay asked.

Steve, Scullscan, and Tommy raised their hands.

"Sorry fellas, but it looks like we're splitting up," Jay said.

"But--" Scullscan started protesting again.

"He's right, Scullscan," Steve said, defeated. "Besides, the vision was from Herobrine, and he's helped us before. Maybe he'll help us again."

"Scullscan lowered his head in defeat. "Fine. But if bad things happen, don't come crying to me."

It was still night time, so they decided to get some sleep. Jay, Kirai, and Tommy had found a ton of redstone, enough to get the truck back to Creektown. 

The next morning, they decided who would go where.

"I'm going to Creektown," Steve announced. "Who's with me?"

Tommy raised his hand. So did Dee and Cupcake.

"Alright. So, Jay, Kirai, and Scullscan are going to the Witch's hut," Steve said.

"Technically, it's Madge's helper's hut, because Madge doesn't live there anymore," Jay replied. "But yeah."

"Okay. How will you get there?" Steve asked.

"We're gonna travel by Nether," Jay answered. "Much faster. And don't worry, it's safe now, remember?" He winked. 

"Where are you gonna get a Nether portal?" Steve asked.

"I saw one in the mine down there," Kirai replied.

"Alright. Be safe, guys," Steve said.

"You too," Jay said.

Steve, Tommy, Dee, and Cupcake got in the truck and drove away as Jay, Kirai, and Scullscan reenterd the mine

And they went their separate ways.

Short chapter, don't judge me it's 1:13am. Ya know, I used to read books with author's notes saying, "It's 1am". And I used to think, "Why are they writing at 1am? I will never do that."

Yet here I am.
