The World Chronicles (2026-3500)
This is the story of how the greatest civilization in human history slowly approached its own limits.
From 2026 to 3500, humanity never stopped moving forward. Scientific progress accelerated, artificial intelligence and robotics transformed nearly every aspect of life, medicine dramatically extended human lifespans, genetic engineering and bio-enhancement reshaped the human body, and the exploration of worlds beyond Earth opened an era unlike anything before.
But every step forward came at a cost.
Primeval forests gradually disappeared. Ecosystems deteriorated. The climate continued to change century after century. Countless species that had once flourished on Earth survived only in genetic archives and artificial sanctuaries. Natural resources became increasingly scarce, while wars, political ambitions, and the rivalry between global powers never truly came to an end.
Earth's atmosphere, land, and waters have never remained unchanged. They have always evolved over time. Yet from the 21st century to the 4th millennium, the pace of change surpassed anything the planet had experienced before. It was no longer merely the evolution of nature, but the unmistakable imprint of a civilization that had endured for nearly fifteen centuries.
Humanity grew ever more powerful through technology, yet also became increasingly dependent on the very innovations it had created.
By the year 3500, civilization had reached its zenith.
Humanity could replace failing organs, dramatically prolong life, establish thriving colonies beyond Earth, and even engineer life itself. Yet despite all of its achievements, it still could not overcome one simple law of the universe:
Every civilization has its limits.
The World Chronicles (2026-3500) is not the story of a sudden collapse.
It is the story of more than a thousand years, during which countless small decisions, remarkable inventions, and endless human ambitions quietly accumulated, until together they wrote the final chapter of a civilization.
For an apocalypse does not begin with a single catastrophe.
It begins with the things no one ever imagined could become a problem.
Human beings possess consciousness and the freedom to choose their own path. Yet like every other form of life, they cannot survive if they become separated from the material world that sustains them.
Perhaps that is why absolute right and absolute wrong have never truly existed. No belief is eternal, and no truth can ever be completely understood by humanity. Even after all this time, humans have never fully understood themselves.
They spend their lives searching for answers about existence, the universe, and their own nature. Yet the farther they journey, the more they realize that their knowledge is only a tiny fragment before the immeasurable vastness of time.
And so humanity continues to live, to grow old, and to spend its finite years, standing quietly as time flows onward.
Since childhood, I have always tried to understand the world through my own perspective. More than anything else, I have come to believe that all matter exists within an endless cycle of transformation. Nothing truly disappears, and nothing remains in a single form forever. Every living being, every civilization, and humanity itself will one day return to that eternal cycle.
