Dreams
Once I fell asleep, I dreamt I saw my mom.
But when she came closer, I noticed it wasn't her.
This woman had flowing black hair, a dress that was made of silk. Light was flickering around her as if she was a light bulb that was about to burn out. And her eyes looked like Bianca's, a warm chocolate brown that was so distracting. And this woman was riding on a horse. And it was white.
"Hello, Percy Jackson." She said.
Her voice sounded like the most enchanting thing I've ever heard.
It sounded like my mom's voice. Sweet, and kind.
Just like her.
I greeted her in response, she smiled warmly at me.
"Do you know who I am?" She asked.
I pretended to think for a moment.
"A Nereid?" I asked.
She smiled and asked me, "Which one am I though."
The some really caught me off guard. I was supposed to know this!
Then, when I looked at her again. Her features became more recognisable.
"Your Amphitrite! My step-mom!" I almost yelled. I was surprised.
"Yes, I'm here to talk to you. Thought, I only have a couple of minutes. So we need to make this quick."
She handed me a small bag.
"It's your ticket out of the underworld. And also, I know you're from the future. I was just doubtful until you said I was your step-mom. You mother is Hera."
I blushed. Thankfully Annabeth or Astra aren't here. But then again, this is my dream.
"Question, why did you give me these. I mean, I'm no longer related to you by my parent. So why did you help me, and visit me?" I asked.
"I guess I wanted to see you. When Poseidon said that you were actually his son, I thought he was lying. So I appeared to in this dream. I hope I was helpful in your quest. And good luck."
That was that last thing she said until I woke up.
Astra was shaking me awake. She had a worried expression on her face.
"Percy, take my dagger. Go help Annabeth fight the monsters. I'll pack our things."
I nodded and charged into battle.
I wished I didn't wake up to this.
