I froze at the door for a little bit "Nadia.. Nina?". We called out at the same time, then we laughed

"Nina what are you doing here? Do you know Elijah?" Nadia

I was about saying yes, then I remembered she talked about him, so I downplayed the whole thing by denying I knew it was this Elijah she was talking about, "What do you mean? Elijah's my housemate, wait is he the Elijah you meant?"

"Yeah he is the one, so he is banging you too?" She asked and her face turned sour

I laughed and replied "Ewwww, I don't wanna get STDS, we're housemates, pardon my manners, please come in"

"Oh thank you, is he home?" She got in and asked
"Nope, he told me to tell anyone coming to see him to chill for him"

"Uh what did you mean earlier by STDs? She asked

"Uhhh... nothing, was just joking? I replied

"Oh so you guys are that close?" She asked
"Nah, it's a long story actually, do you want some?" I asked, changing the subject and gesturing to my food on the table

"Oh what's that?" She asked
"Ofada stew, chicken and rice, I mean being a Nigerian, you should know it right?"

"But you know I'm Canadian right?" She said

"Oh sorry, I thought you were Nigerian, my bad" I replied

She laughed "calm down, I am also Nigerian, I came here when I was 15, so I got a green card and you know the whole citizenship drills"

"That's nice, how old are you now?" I asked
"I am 24, how about you?" She asked

"I am 21, will be 22 in a few months" I replied

"Pretty young, well you're really cool and I think we should hang...." she started saying when the door opened and came in Elijah

"Hey Nadia, when did you come?" Elijah asked not looking pleased with her presence, I took that as my cue to continue my eating and studying

"I got here like thirty minutes ago, I was waiting for you, but Nina here was keeping me company, what took you so long anyway?" She asked

"Yeah about that, I had some stuff to do, you should have called me, let's go to my room" Elijah said getting irritated

"Ok sure, I'll see you around Nina" I noticed her trying to hide the look of hurt on her face with a smile before she turned to follow Elijah

I smiled back at her and carried on with what I was doing. After some minutes, I couldn't even concentrate due to the yelling competition between Elijah and Nadia

I rolled my eyes and let out a frustrated sigh before packing and heading to my room, I finished studying for the day and decided to take a nap.

My ringing tone woke me up with Sarah's name popped up on the screen, I answered groggily "Hey Sarah, what's up?"

"Hey Nina, sorry are you asleep?" She asked

"Yeah I was, just woke up, what's the problem?"

"Okk, uhmm can I come over, I'm bored and I was wondering if we could study together and just catch up" she said

I chuckled "no problem, do you need descriptions to my place?"

"No need, Trisha will tell me"

"Ok let me know when you get there okay?" I said
"Alright I will, see you in a bit" she hung up

I got up and walked lazily to the kitchen to fill my water bottle, in the process, the door opened and Elijah and Nadia came out, she was adjusting her hair and clothes.... I guess they did something as well. I'm sure they didn't realise I was there cause my presence wasn't acknowledged.

Well the shocking thing that happened next was Nadia pecked him but he deepened the kiss and grabbed her bum....oh God I have seen too much in the span of two days

I cleared my throat and they quickly pulled apart, Nadia looked like she was caught stealing cookies from the jar

"Oh we didn't realise you were there the whole time" Nadia spoke first, smiling nervously and as usual Elijah wouldn't speak but stare and smirk

I smiled a little "yeah it's fine, I was just about leaving, you guys should carry on"

"Oh no, I was about leaving too, bye" then she turned to Elijah "Call me okay?" Which he didn't reply to but turned to look at me

I rolled my eyes and turned to leave before another argument starts between the both of us, but he wouldn't just let me be

"Looks like you like interrupting people's privacy?" He asked

"If PDA is called privacy to you" I replied curtly

He chuckled "I still can't believe even after three years, we still argue. Why don't we...." the door bell rang, Elijah looked at me for a little while and sighed frustratedly before he opened the door and Sarah came in smiling

"Hey heartbreaker, long time no see" she told him and patted his shoulder, before her gaze landed on me, I smiled at her

"Ninaaaa!!" She squealed

I grinned "we saw each other yesterday, you know that right?"

"Yeah I know, I missed you, you're beginning to grow on me you know, even though it has just been a short time" she smiled

"Uhmm why is she here?" Elijah asked
I looked at him like dude are you okay? and I threw back at him "she's here for me, do you have a problem?"

"Woah guys I am standing right here you know, looks like Elijah doesn't want to see me" Sarah said

"Come on let's go in Sarah" we entered my room, "so how is your day?" I asked her

"I'm so bored, Trisha went out with her boyfriend Jamie leaving me all alone, wait I saw Nadia's car leave when I got here, what was she doing here?"

"Oh yeah, she and Elijah, you know the hmm..." I said not wanting to describe the whole thing

Then she laughed "Holy shit, wait they did not" she laughed again

"Well looks like you understand, I mean I don't know, it ain't my biz, but you guys are her close friends, you need to talk to her, cause she's so into him and I know Elijah is using her for the fun of it" I said

"L.O.L baby girl, we've tried and she doesn't seem to listen other than walk out on us or she just brushes it off, I can't do more than that as a friend. She seems to be drifting away from us anyway, so yeah let her be"

"Right, if you say so. So Trish and Jamie yeah? I didn't know, that's so cute"

She nodded "yeah, been dating for a few months now"

"That's sweet, okay let's talk about our upcoming test, how far have you gone?" I asked while placing my books on the bed

"Oh yeah I'm halfway there, let's finish this up together, but I'm starving, let's order pizza" she said while typing something on her phone. I guess she was ordering

"Sure, you should order and we'll split the bill" I replied

"Nah it's fine I'll handle it, then we can do it next time" she smiled

"Why are you so nice to me, you and Trisha, hope you guys aren't planning on doing something evil to me later?" I asked and laughed

I noticed Sarah didn't laugh back and her face was blank "oh my God I was joking Sarah, don't take it too personal" I quickly told her

Then she bursted out laughing... okaay is she psycho? I thought. she stopped and tried to catch her breath

"Uh what's funny?" I asked her, looking confused

"You're funny, well I was kidding too, I do that a lot and of course I wasn't taking it personal" she chuckled

"Oh I was shocked, that's good then, anyway let's keep studying before the delivery guy comes" I told her and she nodded

We were answering some questions when we heard a ding on the door bell, we sensed it was the pizza boy, "I'll get it" I said to her and she gave me the money

When I got to the door, I saw Elijah talking to who I guess was the pizza boy, 'Oh yeah, they must have ordered it, let me get one of them', I heard him tell the guy

"No need, I'm here" I said behind Elijah waving the money at the pizza guy, Elijah looked at me, after I paid the guy, I closed the door and turned to go back to the room, but a wall which I almost bumped into was standing at my back the whole time.

"For God's sake, is it your plan to break my nose?" I asked Elijah looking up at him in annoyance

He chuckled a little.... like what the hell is so funny?.... "Uh sorry, we weren't able to finish our discussion earlier" He asked me

"And what discussion will that be?" I retorted
"About us hanging out and talking" he said

I laughed "so you wanna talk now, omg! guy it's been like what five years, what about school, when I always wanted to talk or after I tried to reach you when I heard you weren't coming back? You made it obvious you wanted nothing to do with me again. I'm sorry, but I haven't got the time" I moved to walk past him and he blocked me

"Elijah stop this nonsense, I have things I'm doing, so please move" I told him loudly

"That's why I think we should talk it out" he replied, I tried pushing him away but he wouldn't even budge, then I tried to march his toes like I do, but he seems like he got the hint and held my raised leg up making it look like we were in a make out position

I stilled cause of our position, so I gave up on struggling with him... "Please just let me be"
Elijah started to say "But I just....."

"Uh... what's going on here?"
