"In the same way, those of you who do not give up everything you have cannot be my disciples." -Luke 14:33

This verse is basically saying that we must hold up everything that we call "mine," willing to give up EVERYTHING we have to God if he should ask us to do so and put him first always. Being a true Christian and follower of Christ requires full sacrifice of everything we have, most importantly, our time. Give all of your time and lives to Jesus and everything will come right into place.
