"Stephen waht are you doing.... I am really sorry, I know this all happened because of me but I don't deserve this......"

"Relax Clare, what are you saying and calm down and what do you don't deserve".

I looked at the knife in Stephen's hand and slightly pointed towards it.

"Ooo this, relax Clare. I am not going to kill you for what you did and you don't deserve it...... I just wanted apple which is kept behind you" Stephen said laughingly.

I was hell confused that time. I decided to have a conversation with Stephen and clear things out. I am going to do whatever he wants me to do. I will do anything for his forgiveness.

Stephen went to his bedroom after eating his apple and was doing some work in his laptop.

I went near him, I decided to talk but then I thought not to disturb him and I came down in the hall.

I wasn't able to analyse what was happening and all this, Stephen's behaviour change was after me going to the hospital. What all happen in my absence.

Did Brent or Jenny said something..
No no this ain't possible.... Who else was there.??

Henry, did he....., but even if he says anything, why would Stephen listen to him.....

I wasn't able to understand anything, and sitting on the couch and thinking is not going to give you answer,Clare, I said to myself.

I got up and decided to make all the recipes Stephen like........

I went to the kitchen, wore my apron arranged all the things for the meal.

Within 3 hours I cooked all of it.

And suddenly Stephen came down...

"Clare, I am going at Henry's place. I will be back by 8....,by the way why are you looking so shabby. I mean, there is all flour on your forehead and cheek" .

"Oo, I will clear it.... Don't worry... By the way, why are you going to Henry's house".

"I wanted to discuss something related to business. When you went to the hospital, we sat down for discussion but then I had to drop Brent and Jenny to the airport....... So..."

"It's alright Stephen, you go but please don't eat anything out. I mean  I want to do dinner with you..."

"Ya baby..."

And he went.... He was talking so politely and sweetly as if nothing happened..... I wasn't able to digest all this and was waiting for our dinner.

I did arrangements for the dinner. I didn't lit the candles because that would be moreover a romantic rather than forgiving.

And finally clock hit 8.

I went towards the door but didn't find Stephen...

Half an hour past, I thought Stephen is not going to come....coz this is possible with Stephen....

But I was wrong, he came, he was 35 minutes late.

"Hi Clare,  I am really hungry".

"Yep, let's go, even I am hungry.. "

I didn't want to ask him why was he late coz I didn't want to spoil his mood.

"You go and change into something comfortable".

"Ya, I am going.. "

And he came down. We sat on the dining table. I served him. And he was astonished to see all his favourite things on the plate.

"Ooo, Clare, anything special today??," he asked me with his watery mouth .

"Oh common Stephen, as if you don't know why I am doing this. I know this doesn't even count but still I want to do".

"What are you talking about....," Stephen smirked and said.

"Stephen, baby..... "

And before I could say anything he interrupted.

"Clare, one second before you say anything. I would like to say something".

He looked quite serious and had a maturity in his way of speaking. The words said by him just pricked my heart.

Anyone else listening his words could have thought that these words are so sweet but only I know how they pricked my heart.
