Ben walked into the training space that Monday morning.

He saw the young acrobat , sprawled across the floor , a snake in her hands as she was in the splits .

"Huh?" She said to the snakes and it licked her face . She smiled and then stood up, bring the snake into his basket. "Be a good boy!" She then closed and walked over to Ben.

"Hi... good morning " he said with a smile .

"Well you're taking over for Luke right?" She asked.

Ben nodded with a smile "well then...whenever Luke couldn't do a show I did it for him, and he's asked me to train you, so for starters go to that basket and pick up Scry " she said.

"Scry?" Ben asked scratching his head.

"The snake" she pointed.

He gulped and walked to the basket. Inside was a three snakes all hissing at snapping at him.

"Ah !" He yelled and the basket rolled over, spilling the three snakes on the ground.

He heard her laughing and watched as she picked up all three, throwing them over her shoulder and putting them back in the basket.

"How are you not terrified of snakes?!" He asked.

"They don't have poison and have been trained not to constrict" she told him and picked up one of them.

"What -" he said .

Rey opened his palm and then placed the snake in his hand "support her "

The snake wrapped around his hand . "Ummm-" he said.

"Shh" Rey whispered into his ear, standing on her toes "She can smell fear"

Ben gulped and then Rey moved his arms "I'm gonna climb onto your shoulders , stand still and don't move ... hold onto the snake. Don't think about me or anything else just the snake"

"Okay" he nodded and Rey then climbed his 6'3 frame . She started with doing a hand stand, she went down and did the splits with on hand on his shoulder .

"Be still" she replied .

Ben whispered "yes" and then the snake began to travel up to his arms .

"It's okay" she said "my silk is right here ... I'll grab it and then travel up to the silk... stay still and when I start you need to hold the bottoms of the silk so I can climb up -"

"Hm" he said and she began to reach for the silk.

The snake wrapped around his neck and he ran , causing Rey to fall on the mat and the snake to get loose and slither to the basket.

"Ben ! What the fuck?!" Rey yelled as she sat up.

"Sorry but snakes ... no ! Why does it have to be snakes ?!" He asked as he paced .

"It adds a wow factor " she replied.

"Oh here let me -"

"No it's fine I -"

Ben then tripled on the matt and fell on top of her . His face inches from hers.

He could feel her hot breath on his skin , her lashes fluttered in his face and he could see every freckle that littered her nose and cheekbones.

"Ben ?!" He looked up and saw Bazine, heels and black tight pencil skirt, blazer and designer bag in arm.

"Hey" he said and helped Rey up. "There was this thing with a snake and a the silks ..." he said .

"Hmm" Bazine nodded "lets go your father and I have lunch already reserved"

"Yeah... I'll see you Rey-"

"Get some baby powder while you're out" she said as she went to grab her phone and water bottle.

"Why?" He asked.

"You'll see" her name was called and the young men he saw at the party were waving her over .

She did a handful of clips and cartwheels with one hand while she held the water bottle and phone in the other.
