Liam's point of view

I was awaken by the sound of my alarm. Groaning, I rolled over and smacked my alarm to shut it up. Then I got up and went to the bathroom. I splashed some cold water on my face, then went to the closet to get dressed. I had just finished putting a belt when the I heard a faint knocking sound. I leapt up and ran down the stairs. I went to the kitchen and pulled my gun out of the cabinet.

As I made my way to the door I heard a familiar voice, "Open up Liam". It was Jason my partner. I looked through the peephole and when I saw it was just him, I stuffed my gun in the front of my pants. Then went to open the door. "Hey Liam! I thought for sure I was going to have to visit you through bars for a little while longer!" Jason said while knocking me on the ground while attempting to hug me. "Hey, Jason" I beamed, while getting up from the ground.

"So are you going to tell me how I am here and not behind bars " I asked.

"Well it was pretty easy, just paid off the prison warden and made it look like you had escaped".

"Ok, how much did you pay him off for?" Jason just looked at his feet and bit his lip. I knew that look all to well, something was wrong.

"Jason, how much?" I asked sternly.

He finally looked up and replied "Half a million and all our drugs shipments have stopped, because our guys only want you to pick up the shipments, they say it is too dangerous. So now we don't have anything to sell. Also we are about to lose the gang house if we don't come up with some money, sooner rather than later" he finished. He smirked.

" I am guessing by that look on your face that you have a big job planned for me? Right?" I said even though I knew he did.

" You know me to well Liam, but yeah we have a plan. We broke into the Town hall and the café and have cameras and bugs in them. So you need to Kidnap the Mayors daughter, then ransom her for 500,000 dollars. That should get us back on our feet, but we have a tiny problem she hangs around the Town hall and a little café. So we would have to kidnap her right in the café". He handed me a folder as he continued. " We bugged her house and over heard her talking on the phone. She is meeting a friend in a little bit in the café, you should grab her there".

"But Jason it is in broad daylight" I snapped. "How stupid could he be"

"Well then people will see. Maybe shoot a few people, so that the Mayor will hear from the other ones that survive how deadly we are. Then he would be more inclined to give us the money, wouldn't he? Unless you are to scared too that is."

"Well I guess it would be fun, but this is seriously risky Jason."

"Well don't get caught then" He started to walk out the door, but then popped his head back in and said "Oh, and Liam glad to have you back, I missed you" and with that he left.

Once he had pulled out of the driveway I looked at the file he had handed me and it read

Time of meeting: 9:30 AM

I looked at her picture, then I checked my watch. 9:00. Crap I have to go. I ran upstairs to my closet to get changed again. I picked out a pair of black jeans, a tight black shirt, a mask, and black combat boots. I strapped a magazine and a combat knife at my ankles. Then headed out the door to grab Emma

Emma's point of view

" Em, how are you" shouted Lillian Taylor. I slammed my door shut then ran over and hugged her. "I haven't seen you in a month, it has been way too long!" She squealed.

" I know right" I exclaimed while we made our way to the little coffee shop next to town hall.

"Is your Dad still the Mayor?" She said as she flung the door open.

" Yeah, and the election is right around the corner." I glanced over at the town hall through the window. I loved that place, it was my second home. "What's on your mind?" I just shook my head. But that did not do it she looked at me with her signature pouty face.

"Man, had I missed her"

"Fine Lilly, I am thinking about the election. I hope dad wins, he is the Mayor and if he wasn't, he would not know what to do with himself."

" I'm sure he will win Em. He is the best person for the job, and the townspeople love him!"

"I sure hope that he does Lil."

" Hey girls, long time no see Lillian and good to see you back again Em. What can I get for you lovely ladies today?"

"Hey Luke! I will have the regular please and she likes the iced cherry coffee if I remember correctly." Lillian nodded. Luke winked at me then turned on his heel towards the kitchen. "Em, he totally likes you!" Lillian squealed.

" No we are just friends Lil"
"Just friends " I repeated in my head. Truth is I had a crush on him since high school. But I was NOT about to tell Lillian that, the whole town and all social media would know in less than ten seconds.

" Here comes the coffee" Lillian said while rubbing her hands together and over exaggeratedly licking her lips. "Good" I said laughing, " I am in great need of my morning coffee."

"Me too" said Lillian. But it came out as a snort.

" What is so funny over here?" Luke asked as he handed us our coffee.

" Nothing" we both said at the same time. Then we looked at each other and all started to laugh. Once we had finished laughing Luke looked at both of us awkwardly.
Then he finally said "Hey Emma, you know that new movie comes out tomorrow and... If you wanted maybe.. we could.....--

" Yeah Luke, that would be great."

"Awesome, I will pick you up tomorrow at say around 7 ish. Will that work?"

"Yeah, that sounds good!" Luke smiled then slowly walked back to the kitchen. Lillian looked around to make sure that Luke was in the kitchen then practically shouted "OH MY GOD Luke just asked you, Emma Pierson out!"

"Shhhh, Lillian Ann Taylor" I replied mockingly "shut up, I don't want the whole town to know"

"So you do like him! Ha! I knew I was right!" I rolled my eyes at her then told her I was going to run to the bathroom real quick and fix my make up. I hurried to the bathroom, but saw that there was a line. After waiting for a while it was finally my turn, I put on my make up real fast, then went rushed out before Lillian could come looking for me. On my way out, I bumped into a concerned looking Lillian coming in to the bathroom.

" Em, there you are. You coming back?"

" Yeah Lil, just a long line it's not like someone abducted me or stabbed a knife through my heart!"

"Well you never know" she said laughing. I rolled my eyes at her as she walked out with me not far behind. I turned around as I realized that Lillian had stopped. When I turned around I saw why she had stopped. A man in all black with a mask and he was holding a gun. I turned to run but he grabbed me around the waist with one arm then shoved my head in a bag, I tried to scream but something was stopping me. I struggled against him. I kicked and screamed but he kept dragging me backwards twords the back door. I couldn't break his grasp. I felt his arm around my waist it was strong, I wasn't getting out.

I heard shouts of the people in the shop. I felt a jolt and I hear Luke's voice next to me. My captors arms slipped off me. I was free. But then I heard a gun being fired and screams. Then the strong pair of arms suddenly returned to me. I was dragged out of the coffee shop and thrown in what seemed to be the trunk of a car a vehicle.

It seemed he had stopped moving, so I took advantage of the moment and snatched the sack off my head, and before he had time to react I tore the mask off his head. I looked at my captor and quickly snatched his mask off and before he could stop me I ripped it off. It was Liam Rivers. The murderer. He swore then slammed the door locking me in. I tried to get out, but I couldn't.

I was trapped.
