You are a bird-of-paradise.
The heaven in your kindness purifies me with a nirvana that I've been looking for.
But oh, darling, you fly too low. Your goddess-like feathers graze the skin of the ocean, and your serenity blinds you from the dark, creeping creatures that lurk in the deep.
You'll always be smiling, golden and sweet, even when the sirens reach with their scaly hands and dripping talons and drag you into the sea to drown.
But I won't forgot how you were a shadow against the sun, and a light for the moon to reflect.
I'll liberate you from their wicked claws and backbiting fangs--so maybe we both don't have to be so dead inside.
Because you, oh lovely bird-of-paradise, you were meant to be alive.
