After the 6 hour shopping we did. We all returned home, the house was quiet, almost to quiet.

"Jason, did you leave the door unlocked again?" Adam asked. Jason shook his head.

"I tripple checked. I locked I perfectly" Jason replies.

"Is the back door open?" Amelia asks. We all stayed in a group, the guys grabbed what ever they could get, a baseball bat, nerf gun, and for some reason, a rock?

I grabed the nerf shotgun. I don't know what good it'll do. I see Adams face go from curious to frightened in moments.

"D-d-dawn?" He stutters. I look and see a girl around Adams age with short brown hair and a pocket knife in hand.

"Oh, Honey, I'm home.." She said creeply. I felt shivers go up my spine as I hid behind Jerome, mostly to ask.

"Whos she?" I ask.

"Dawn, Adam's ex-girlfriend. They broke up a year ago, and we haven't seen her since" He explains.

I look back at Adam and notice he's almost furious. "What are you doing here? I have a restraining order!" He exclaims.

What the fuck? Why the heck does she need a restraining order? What the hell happened?

"Well, its expired. I checked myself, guess you forgot to renew it" The girl says. I notice a guy run in, he had brown hair as well.

"Dawn, put the knife away. You cannot hurt anyone. Please Dawn, dad wouldn't forgive you for it" the guy says. Trying to presue Dawn to let go of the knife.

"No, Jimmy! I want pay back!" Dawn says.

"Girls go to the basement and lock the doors. Call 911, tell them DGO. They'll understand it" Ian whispers to us. Annie grabs my hand and pulls me towards a door, Amelia opens it.

We get to the basement and Jessica ran ahead to open a door to a bedroom. We get in and lock the door.

"What the hell is this?" I ask. "Who the fuck is Dawn??"

"Shes Adam's crazy ex-girlfriend. You know how we were in a shooting at the mall?" Paige says. "Yea, she paid the guy to rob and kill us. But he ended up robbing and killing more than expected"

Jessica had already called 911 when we heard a gunshot, sending Annie into a panic attack. I run over to a window that looked into the front yard.

Neighbors were beginning to surround the house. "Who was shot?" Amelia asks.

"I don't know, but it seems a few neighbors heard the shot" I reply.
I sit on the bed and look at the door. I hear yelling and shouting, followed by a scream. It was the guys, and it wasn't Dawns. Infact, it was Annie's.

"Dawn doesn't know we came down here" Paige says.

"Well I think she does now" Jessica says. I grab the nerf gun and walk to the door.

"I'll distract her, lock the door" I say. I get out the door and start to walk up the stairs, Jerome and Mitch were blocking the entrance to the stairs so a duck behind them.

"Abby, what are you doing?" Jerome asks.

"Giving the cops some time" I say.

I aim at a wall behind Dawn who was holding a knife to Adam. I fire and it bounces off the wall and right to Dawn's head.

She whips around I fire again, it hits her face. I never knew a nerf gun would be this helpful.

I shoot 2 more times before I hear the sirens pull up. Dawn also hears and tries to get away, but Ian stood at the door.

The police barge in, arresting Dawn immediatly. I stand up and watch as she is pulled out of the kitchen.

Another police officer talks with Adam. "Who fired the gun?" I ask.

"Jimmy, Dawns brother. He managed to buy the cops enough time as well" Jerome explains. "But he didn't shoot anyone, just the window"

"He set off Annie, shes in a panic mode right now" I say. "She began screaming"

"Let's go check on them" Mitch suggest. We walk downstairs and to the room where they were hiding in.

I knock on the door lightly. "It's me" I say. The door unlocks and Jessica opens it, Annie was in a ball on the bed crying.

Paige was comforting her and Amelia was watching out the window. "Shes okay" Paige says.

I nod and look at Amelia whos watching Dawn being taken away. "You okay, Amelia?" I ask.

"Dawn's my step-sister, and she paid someone to kill me.. To kill her ex-boyfriends sister.. To kill 4 girls" she says. "So no, I'm not really okay"

I look at Jerome and Mitch who aren't really shocked this happened. "Did you know she was going to attack you guys?" I ask.

"We knew it would happen again. We just didn't expect it this soon" Mitch replies.

I couldn't help but wonder, what made Dawn do this? Was it money? Was it an impact from her child-hood? Or just out of spite?..
