Hi.
So you've found this book, somehow. You're reading it,for some reason. I can't tell you that reason. But let me tell you something, dear reader. Whoever you are,if you choose to read this book,I'm telling you now, you're not gonna like it. It's not an adventure, romance, comedy -- nothing like I'd usually write. If you want that, leave now,go read another book,I don't even care if it's mine.
But at this current time,I'm worried. Stressed. And some might say it's silly. But it's real. I have fears, fears others might not have. I know people who are similar, well, truthfully,it's only about one or two. But it doesn't matter. When you laugh at me,you laugh at us.
But that's not the point of this book. I'm not here to talk about whether you're sitting here, laughing at my fears. I don't care.
What I do care about is my fear. Laugh at me now,but I have a fear of loneliness. I'm not kidding. It sounds silly, but this is a fear both me and a friend possess. We're quite similar in this fear. For both of us,we get....I guess you could say nervous. We get anxious and start imagining these....impossible possibilities. We imagine the worst case scenario. Part of us tries to stop those thoughts, give us some hope, but it doesn't really work. We just can't help it.
We have a friend who is in a similar state, but not exactly the same. She isn't exactly afraid of loneliness, but being abandoned. Something happened to her and....it left her....broken. She stayed shunned away from people until she moved. I approached her and she seemed nice. She talked to me and I talked to her. We get along well.
But fear is an ugly thing. It makes you nervous to do things. For example,I had a friend. Let's call her Kate. Kate and I were good friends. Then,I found out she found something out about me and I got nervous about how she reacted,so I assumed. I stopped talking to her and ignored her. She didn't seem to mind,so I thought she hated me.
About two weeks ago,I'd gotten a text from an unknown number. I found out it was Kate. We talked and she told me she didn't hate me,but she thought I hated her.
Now,even though that happened,we haven't exactly rekindled our friendship. We choose to stay going on our own, separate ways because, well, our lives are different now. I have new friends and she has hers.
The moral of the story is to try before assuming. Because I didn't,I lost a good friend. I know she probably won't see this, but if by chance she does,hi Kate.
That's all for now.
I still don't understand why you're here or reading this, but thank you for reading my ramble.
I appreciate it.
