False Hope

Soon after she took her last shot
The light cloud was replaced with deep gloom air
You stood up, about to leave
She was messier than the last time you kissed her
Stayed like a dog who wouldn't leave its kennel
Left untouched were her lingering thoughts of the beginning and the end
Of all those mornings
She spends beside you and hot cakes
Of all the sleepless night
With thunder roaring outside
And you keeping her warm
While she still holding on to the memories like it was a fresh wine
You abandoned the idea of her like it was sweet nothing
She saw you pretty
You showed her uncertainty
It was deeply ironic
How she believed in you when you said you loved her.
