Y3-The Map
Margot Evelyn slipped the piece of parchment she nicked from the Weasley twins out of her robe pocket, wondering what its importance was. It was blank parchment, that much was obvious; maybe it was like her journal of prank ideas, that needed a password or enchantment to unlock. Margot preferred her enchantment, because it didn't require words with it, or a wand, so virtually no one could see it. And, if someone tried to use a wand, a great big middle finger, compliments of Dean Thomas, would appear to tell them to kindly eff off. Curious, she tried her hand-made charm, only to elicit a response of the parchment lighting on fire! "AAH!" Margot Evelyn gasped as she slapped her hand over the flame, leaving only a small corner of the parchment charred. Reaching for her wand, she touched it to the paper and muttered "Repairo," under her breath to see if it would fix. It did, but something Margot Evelyn was not expecting was the threads of ink that would spurt across the parchment from where her wand touched it. She stared at it in awe as the ink lines began to form words:
Mssr. Padfoot thinks that was quite rude, and that the young witch should apologize and return the map to it's previous owners.
"No way..." Margot Evelyn muttered. Could this be...
Mssr. Moony thinks Mssr. Padfoot is right in asking for an apology, and is wondering what happened to the aforementioned owners. He would also like to point out that Mssr. Padfoot should have used "its" instead of "it's."
Mssr. Prongs thinks that Mssr. Moony should shut his mouth, the nerd, and also kindly asks this young witch what happened to the previous owners, and how she came about their map.
Mssr. Wormtail wishes to thank this young witch for repairing the accidental damage done to the map, to also inquire about the previous owners, and to scold Mssr. Padfoot and Mssr. Prongs for revealing that this is a map, as the young witch did not know.
Margot Evelyn gasped. She had found it. The fabled Marauders' Map. Her parents had told her about it years ago, and about all the antics the Marauders, Potter, Lupin, Pettegrew, and Black, AKA Prongs, Moony, Wormtail, and Padfoot respectively, got into with it. After all these years of it being trapped in Filch's office, then missing, and she, just as she began her career pranking, found it with the Weasley twins. It must be fate. All she could do was gape at the beautifully written words in awe, unable to respond to the questions and inquiries of the famed and brilliant boys. Luckily, her wand was still touching the parchment, which is apparently how they communicated with the world. The words vanished and new ones appeared.
Mssr. Padfoot speaks for the group when he thanks the young witch for her reverence, because frankly, they deserve it. He would also like to say a few choice words to Mssr. Moony, but will refrain because he does not know the age of this young witch and does not want to cuss in front of a first year.
Mssr. Prongs would like to express that that has never stopped Mssr. Padfoot before.
Mssr. Moony congratulates Mssr. Padfoot on his vocabulary that he didn't know he was capable of.
Mssr. Padfoot would like to say "fuck you" to Mssr. Moony.
Mssr. Wormtail expresses his appreciation for the young witch's admiration, and would like to know her name, and who her parents were who knew so much about them.
Mssr. Moony would also like to express that one, he's saying it first and would like recognition for that, and that two, he thinks they should let her in.
Mssrs. Prongs and Padfoot recognize Mssr. Moony's one and two and would like to tell him to slow the hell down, they only just met this girl.
"M-my name is Margot Evelyn Prior; I used to just go by Margot, but now I like Margot Evelyn. My parents are Mary and Alec Prior, and to answer one of your first inquiries, I nicked you from the Weasley twins because they were being gits, and I saw them hovering around this, so I figured it was important to them, so I took it. I have heard stories of you guys for my whole live; I can't believe I finally found this legendary map! Is it true that you guys hid mandrake leaves under your tongues for a month and McGonagall never noticed? And that none of you knew who Evelyn was until she wanted you to? And that Peter would steal candy from Honeydukes by turning into a rat? And that-" she broke off as the ink began forming words again.
Mssr. Moony is impressed with Miss Prior's extensive knowledge of the Marauders' antics, and would like to comment that-
Mssr. Padfoot kindly cuts off Mssr. Moony in favour of congratulating Miss Prior on her namesake and her ability to nick things from the previous holders of this map.
Mssr. Prongs scolds Mssr. Padfoot and tells him he is a prick. He also would like to profess his undying love for Evelyn, and would much rather be kept by the witch who bears her namesake than the past two owners, though Mssr. Prongs admits he is very biased.
Mssr. Wormtail would like to express his enjoyment at the amount of potential Miss Prior shows, and suggests they let her in and show her the map.
Mssr. Moony agrees.
Mssr. Prongs agrees.
Mssr. Padfoot agrees.
Mssr. Wormtail suggests Miss Prior touch her wand to the paper and recite the incantation: "I solemnly swear that I am up to no good."
Mssr. Moony also requests that when Miss Prior is done with the map, or the map may fall into compromising hands, that she touch her wand to the paper once more and recite the incantation: "Mischief managed."
Margot Evelyn touches a trembling wand to the parchment. "I solemnly swear that I am up to no good."
Mssrs. Moony, Wormtail, Padfoot, and Prongs, wish Miss Prior happy pranking, remind her to always consult them for pranking (and dating) advice, and proudly present the Marauders' Map.
