Akari hissed as rain started to pour, and there was still no sign of Screech. Where the fuck is he? Akari thought. 

Akari walked in the bushes. He stopped in his tracks when he saw an unmoving light brown figure on the ground.

There was a gash on his neck. Akari kicked his side softly. "Get up."

The figure got up slowly. He touched the gash on his gingerly. He looked up at Akari. "Where is he?" He asked.

"I don't know what you're talking about."

"The shadow dog! He- he attacked me and-"

"Stop. Stop talking. I don't care." Akari turned around and was about to walk away, but the cat tapped his shoulder.

"I'm sorry..I'm Watchdog, and you are?"

"Akari." Akari muttered.

Watchdog twitched his ears due to a raindrop falling on it. "Are you from the castle?"

"Yes. Now leave me alone." Akari's ears were flattened due to the hard rain falling.

Akari kept his eyes on the sky as he walked towards the castle in the distance. "Screech?" Akari called out. "Who are you looking for?"

Akari saw that Watchdog was following him.

"You ask a lot of questions for such a puny thing." Akari said.

"Puny?"

"You couldn't even win a battle with one shadow dog." Akari replied with a sharp tone.

Watchdog gave him the side eye before looking up at the sky. "Who's Screech?"

"My pet bird. I can't find him." Akari answered.

"I hope you find him." Watchdog chirped. 

"Great. Now can you leave me alone?" Akari grumbled.

Watchdog nodded and he went his own way.
