I traced the tattoo on her hand and she traced mine.  I looked into her brown eyes and the corners crinkled up as she smiled. I chuckled. I leaned in a stole a soft kiss from her lips, savoring the moment as she kissed back as it were our last kiss. She traced the words I love you into my back and I felt myself smile as she did that. She pulled away and looked at me and smiled. I memorized every part of her. Her eyebrows, her lashes, her lips, her nose, the light freckles she had, the fading scar she had on the corner of her forehead that she got when she was little. I drank it all up as if I was dying of dehydration. "What are you staring at lover boy?" Her sweet voice broke my trance and I looked into her golden brown eyes and smiled. Pulling her in closer, I nuzzled my face into her neck. "I'm staring at my one and only." Her grip tighten around me and I tightened mine.  I felt her began to shake and I pulled her back and saw tears welling up in her eyes. I felt my heart twist at the sight. "What's wrong baby?" She slowly wiped away a tear and looked at me. "What if I forget? What if I can't even remember anymore?" My jaw tightened but I pulled her in close and felt her shoulders shake as she cried into my shoulder. "No matter how many times you forget, I will always love you, and make sure that you remember." She faced me again and kissed me softly. "I love you." Hearing those words leave her lips gave me such a rush of joy, it was indescribable . "Wait here." I jumped out of the bed and went to the kitchen as she sat confused on the bed. I opened a draw and rummage till I found the small black box. I knew it was time. I held the box behind me and walked back to the room. Slowly I opened it as I approached even closer. I looked in and saw her looking at the room. "Baby?" She turned around, but a confused look lingered on her face. "Um excuse me?" the minute those words left her mouth I felt my heart drop just like how the box did out of my hands. "Who are you?" Those final words she said, killed me more than any other time she had said them before.
