Surprise everyone!

Okay, let me explain. So back in June, I hopped on YouTube one day to listen to music like I usually do. For some reason, I noticed a lot of Among Us related content in my recommendations which I found weird at first but shrugged it off. Then I scrolled down a little further and discovered there was a full episode of an official episode of an animated Among Us show.

WHAT?!

This was certainly not on my bingo card for 2026. I didn't even know they were making an Among Us show at all! This was apparently dropped onto Paramount Plus with no warning with the first episode being free on YouTube. Of course I watched it, I ain't gonna pass up something like a free episode of an Among Us show. I really liked it, it was pretty funny. I don't have Paramount Plus so I haven't seen the other episodes yet but I know someone managed to upload them onto YouTube. Also, YouTube, Twitter and TikTok already spoiled a lot for me, oops. But still awesome.

Anyways, my head got to thinking ever since. What if things were different? How could things be different? And so a story spun itself into creation in my mind. I've been planning out every detail for the past week and a half now. I even drew up everyone as both beans and humans. For this story, they are humanized characters.

Now I know a lot of people have been using they / them pronouns for the characters, I've seen it everywhere. Since I'm writing them as humans, I am gonna use he / his and she / her pronouns but I will also add they / them when I can.

As for the AU concept for this story, the idea is what if the aliens had swapped hosts. If you have seen the show, you already know which characters were infected by the aliens. Now this isn't oh someone else is the imposter, oh no. Same two characters are the imposters but the aliens have been swapped. Also they're more parasitic for this story.
