New Arrival

~Ciel's POV~

Over the past century, I have learned how to use my newly acquired powers. It took me quite a while to get use to the incredible strength and senses that came with being a demon. In fact, I've crushed quite a few doors and other delicate things, especially tea cups. It seems that I've acquired most of the same powers that Sebastian has. I'm even the same kind of demon as Sebastian, a tengu. Sebastian taught me how to control my powers, but they are obviously not as powerful as his. Flight was a very complicated task to complete.

A decade later, we found out that Hannah and the triplets weren't really dead. She brought Alois and his little brother, Luka, back to life as kitsune demons. Mey-Rin, Bard, Tanaka, and Finny have all obviously passed away, but Snake is still here because, as it turns out, he's a demon too. He just hid it from us. He and Sebastian stayed by my side and we continued to work for the queen, but now we just work any difficult jobs for normal people. In the normal everyday life, I go as Ciel Phantomhive or Earl Phantomhive, the owner of the Funtom Corporation. Undercover, I go by the Guard Dog. As Earl, I wear my eye patch and as Guard Dog, I do not.

As it turns out, a private rich school, an hour away from London, is experiencing mysterious murders around the area. I'm to investigate with Kitsune, which is the undercover name that Alois goes by. To my disdain, he's still that annoying flamboyant idiot he was centuries ago. I absolutely despise working with him. Anyway, Snake, Alois, and I are enrolling as students and Sebastian is becoming a teacher.

"Sebastian," I call out to my butler.

"Yes, my lord?"

"Are we prepared to leave?" I ask.

"Whenever you are prepared to leave, my lord. I have made arrangements for us to live in a mansion until we solve this case. I also have enrolled you and Snake as students and I am your math and chemistry teacher," he informs me.

"What happened to the previous math and chemistry teacher?" I ask.

"She has a current leave for as long as it takes to finish this assignment. She's on a long vacation," Sebastian answered.

"The excuse?"

"She transferred schools."

"Good choice," I say.

"I thought so myself."

"Have you scoped out the area?"

"Yes, I found nothing suspicious or worth mentioning," he answers. "This might be a supernatural case."

"Great," I groan sarcastically. "That means we're going to have to determine what kind of creature it is that's killing all these people. It also means we can't do anything if it's something strange being ordered to do by the supernatural code. Is Snake prepared to actually speak without his snakes doing it for him?"

"I believe so," he replies with a nod.

"Then let's go and solve this case already," I grunt impatiently.

"The limo is in the front. Snake is already inside waiting to go."

"Good, one less thing to worry about."

We depart from the mansion, Sebastian opens the limo's door for me to enter and closes it behind me after I'm settled. He gets into the driver's seat and we head to our new temporary mansion. A few hours later, we arrive at our destination.

Sebastian opens the door so Snake and I could exit and my eyes land on the mansion. "I hope the mansion is to your liking, young master," Sebastian states as we arrive.

It was smaller than the one I have inhabited for so long, but it would do. It was a navy blue color, with tall black columns and elegant windows. It was surrounded by beautiful trees and other wild plants.

"This will have to do," I spoke nonchalantly. "It is a bit smaller than what I am used to, after all," I reprimanded my butler with a shrug before proceeding to the front door.

"Snake, there is a greenhouse in the back for you and your snakes if you choose. I also have a bedroom prepared for you," Sebastian says.

"'Thank you,' says Emily," Snake says.

"There are also mice in the house. I expect your snakes to catch them," Sebastian says.

"I don't mind the mice. They're not of importance. Your snakes can catch them and eat them for food whenever they're hungry. It's not mandatory to round them all up today," I say. "As long as they don't do their business all over my stuff, I don't mind. I expect you to prevent them from doing that, Sebastian."

"Yes, young lord."

"I hope to not see any either," I say. "I also expect to see your cats catching them too, but they don't need to eat them."

"Of course."

I knew before I became a demon that Sebastian kept a cluster of cats in his room behind my back. Now that I'm a demon, I don't have allergies anymore, so I allow him to keep them. I don't see them much, but there's this one cat that always likes to bother me while I'm working in my study. I never bother to remember its name or its gender, but I do know that it's a Siamese cat. A majorly annoying Siamese cat.

I also know that it is one of Sebastian's familiars, so it talks to me telepathically to bother me. It loves to sit in my lap and won't move even if I physically move it. It will jump right back into my lap. Sebastian has about 20 cats and maybe only 3 or 4 of them are his familiars, but he doesn't use them to battle. They don't have any powers, but telepathy; just basic mind reading and talking.

All of Snake's snakes are his familiars. They also have telepathic powers just like every other familiar does. The only one I really remember is Emily. She's the red snake and she likes me more than the other snakes do. I don't know why, maybe because she's closer to Snake than the other snakes or something. I also know Oscar. Oscar likes to hang out with me whenever he has nothing to do which is frequent. Now that I'm a demon, I can communicate with all sorts of things. It's kind of annoying.

We travel up the sidewalk to the house and enter.

"Show us around, Sebastian," I command.

"Very well, this way."

When I walked in, I was greeted with the entrance. With a medium sized staircase leading upstairs, there was also a handful of chairs to the right of the staircase and a small table. A painting loomed over the chair. We walked up the stairs to a large door and entered.

The room we arrived in was the main drawing room. It had a large oak table and it was surrounded by three blue silk couches. There was a chandelier hanging from the ceiling and a large window looking out onto the road. The floor was a dark polished wood and the walls were covered in an elegant floral wallpaper. Nodding in satisfaction, I commanded Sebastian to take us to the next room.

The second room was the dining room. It looked much like the one I have at the original Phantomhive estate; a long wood table surrounded by finely crafted chairs. Candelabras were spaced out evenly along the red silk runner, and sconces lined the walls of the dining room. Windows also accented the walls, providing a source of natural light.

The fourth room I was escorted to was my study. This room was also much like my own. It was a smaller room, but there was a large window that looked out into the garden. In front of the window sat an elegant wood desk and a chair that was moved here from my original estate. Papers, books, and writing utensils were organized on the desktop.

I looked out the window, taking in the sight of the garden. It was large, fenced in by white painted wood. A fountain was located in the center, surrounded by flowers. Close to this was a table and chairs, accompanied by a large umbrella and a vase of flowers that Sebastian must have placed here before I arrived.

The final room was my bedroom. This room, as I had instructed, was exactly like my old one. There was a four poster bed with light blue curtains and cream colored sheets. There was a window to the left of my bed and a wooden bedside table to the right. On the table was a small, delicate vase.

Nodding, I turned to Sebastian. "Well done," I say.

"Of course, my lord. What kind of butler would I be if I couldn't please my master?" he smirked, bowing.

"A rubbish one," I answered. "Now, go clean the house or something. I have work to do." I make my way to my study, and Sebastian bowed once more.

"Yes, my lord."
