I couldn't go to sleep that night. I planned an planned. Right before I had those stupid tests I had combat training. Perfect I would be able to stuff some daggers or throwing knives in my pants. After some time I came up with a strategy.

I thought about something I heard today "we are excited about the crossbreeding of Grace and Australia's winged humanoid" What was the name again? oh yes "Leo". wait cross breeding as in OH GOD I need to get out of here.

I had studied the world but not what's happening in the world. I knew Australia was very far away from the United States. I began to wonder "are there more kids like us?"

I looked at my alarm clock 4:30 a.m. great I have to get up in 30 minutes.

I sighed as I buried my face in my pillow I looked around my "room" cough cough cell. It was small with an iron bed that had one blanket and I pillow. it had one barred window in fact as far as I knew the only place with windows that aren't barred were in the testing room.

My alarm clock buzzed as I hit it breaking it on contact. Adam walked in holding a glass of water

"Hey" he said with a smile "need a new alarm clock"

"No" I replied "I think I'll be good"

He gave me a puzzled look as he said "you know there's an Australian boy here apparently he's just like you"

"Yeah I've heard of him Leo right" I took the glass of water and took a nice big drink

"Yes well you guys have tests in that stupid lab at the same time so you can see him there"

I nearly spit out the water onto Adams perfect hair. "the lab, great just when I escape" I thought "maybe he'll want to I don't even know"

"Sounds...great" I say to Adam

"Well c'mon you have training now"

I was led to a room full of weapons by four guards each one wearing a white suit.

"Ah home sweet home" I said sarcastically to one of the guards as I unfolded my wings and began to fly around the complex waiting for my instructor.

When he came in he said "Grace today we will be working on close ranged combat with daggers"

"Perfect" I murmured as he tossed me three daggers one of which I stuffed in my boot and took a ready stance.

Within a few quick movements the instructor was on the ground panting and begging for mercy I was utterly pleased with myself

By the time class was over I had successfully hidden 3 daggers and 2 throwing knives in my boots.

"On for testing" the guard said

"Yeah I know" I said rudely but inside I was scared for what was coming

I walked in the room standing in front of me was a boy possibly more attractive than Adam he had curly black hair dark brown eyes and pale skin he had extremely broad shoulders.

I gasped when I saw them the rumors were true another winged child his wings were pure gold and about a foot longer than mine.

He kept looking at me I found it quite strange "hello" he managed to say before blushing a deep red

"Hey" I responded as I sat down on my hospital bed where the always gave me injections. the room itself was all glass the surrounding area looked beautiful "I'll be out there soon I thought"
