The darkness is all around you.

The darker shaddows creap

And trick you into believing that the blackness surrounding your heart is bright.

Nothing is perfect or easy.

There is no happiness, no eternal peace.

Life is full of a blinding, all encompassing darkness.

It shrouds a soul like a thick layer of dust,

Slowly suffocating and crushing like volcanic clouds

Until you can no longer claw your way out of the burning ash.

And although life is dark and bleak,

A ray of light can struggle through the cracks.

Weak sunlight swirling with dust motes,

Illuminating the long unused and unseen parts of a soul.

Love is the light we seek.

We reach like a sunflower towards the warmth of its gaze.

Love is forever, it is endless.

As long as there is love, the light will be your eternal friend.

Your companion to guide you through the endless nights.

Although there is dark, there is light.

As sure as the sun will rise over the horizon;

Love will bring a new dawn.
