Your POV
After a long sleep, it's good to be awake. I don't know why, but today just seems good.
Tomorrow I have a job interview, so I might as well make the most of today. I take a quick shower, put on some black skinny jeans and a Fall Out Boy t-shirt. Finishing off, I put on a F/C jacket, F/C scarf and pull on my black converse. And after quickly doing my hair, I grab my purse and get out the door.
After walking down what seems to be a thousand flight of stairs, I get to the building door and walk out. It's just another British day- cloudy and cold. I was really hoping that now it was spring it would warm up, but no.
I decide to walk down the streets and check out some shops, because why the hell not?
~Time skip~
I've been walking around for quite a while now. I was just walking through a park when someone bumped into me. But, oh no, that wasn't all the embarrassment. My scarf got caught on their jackets zipper!
"Sorry! oh God! I wasn't trying to, I promise! I was too busy looking at my phone, I really am sorry!" A very articulate voice said frantically.
"It's really fine," I mumble. I look up to see who I ran into. I'm immediately staring into a pair of deep, brown eyes.
I think I recognise this person, I just don't know how.
Dan's POV
I was walking through a park, when I got a Twitter notification. I took my phone out of my pocket to check, but realised that wasn't exactly the smartest move...
I walk right into someone, getting their scarf caught on my jacket zip. Oh no.
As I apologise, I mentally face palm myself. Why am I such an idiot?
I only just hear a, "it's really fine," and then when she looks up, I find myself staring into the most beautiful E/C eyes I have ever seen.
I immediately recognise this girl. She's the one from the resturaunt! The one who kept laughing whenever something awkward happened!
Whoever said miracles don't happen was obviously off their head.
I want to tell her I know her, well, sort of, but due to my social awkwardness, I don't.
Instead, I just pretend I'm trying to remember if I've seen her before. Wow.
"Hey, have we met before? You just look familiar."
Okay, well she recognises me a little bit. It's either she remembers me from the meal, or she's a fan. That could explain why she was laughing so much. But if she was a fan, why didn't she approach us at the meal? I have no idea.
Her face lights up with realisation. "Hang on a minute! You were that guy at the resturaunt, right? Wow, you guys made that night so much more interesting!"
Was that it? She's not a fan? I guess the dinner was just really boring for her.
"Oh yeah!" I pretend to just realise it too, though I knew the moment I saw her. "That's right! So you're not a fan?"
She gives me a look of complete confusion. "What do you mean?"
I shake my head. "Never mind."
Still obviously confused, she shrugs. "Well, I better be getting home. I've been out and about for a while. See you around, maybe."
And with that, she was gone. I didn't even realise that she managed to get her scarf off my zipper. I guess she was just that beau- no. I don't even know her name.
Shit! I didn't even ask her name! Wow, Dan. And I could've asked for her number! Face palming, I decide to just walk back to the flat.
Phil is probably already suspicious about why I was gone so long.
Your POV
I can't believe it! I saw him again!
I can't get over that question. Why would he think I was a fan? Of what? Of him? Am I supposed to know who he is? Argh! So many questions!
~Time skip~
I was on the couch watching (TV Show), but was interrupted when I heard a commotion outside my door. First I heard banging, then someone yelling, "Phil," over and over, then cussing, and then finally, more banging. On my door.
Groaning, I get up. This better be good. It was just getting to an interesting moment!
I stomp down the many stairs and swing open the door.
My eyes widen in surprise at who I'm staring at. It's him again.
"How do you know where I live?" I say concerned. I mean, I haven't told this man anything about me and he somehow knows where I live.
When he hears my voice, he looks up and he too looks shocked.
"Oh, sorry. I-I swear, I didn't follow you! I didn't know you live here! Sor-," I cut off is rambling with a look telling him to get on with it and he continues. "Well, I live across the hall and I lost my key. I need to call my flatmate and my phone has just gone flat. Can I come in?"
Nodding, I step aside and let him in, closing the door behind him. We walk upstairs and into the living room, where I type in my password and hand him my phone.
He dials the number and mouths a quick 'thank you' before walking into the kitchen.
I sit back down on the couch and continue watching F/TV/S.
A few minutes later, he walks back in and hands me my phone.
"Thanks for that. He said he'll be back in twenty minutes."
I nod. "You can stay here for a bit. Make yourself at home."
Nodding, he sits beside me on the couch. There's a bit of a silence before I speak up. "So, we haven't really talked. My name is Y/N."
"Dan," he replies, smiling. "F/TV/S?"
"Yeah, you know it?"
"Yeah."
Of course he does, stupid. He would've asked 'what's this?' if he didn't.
More silence.
"This has been bugging me, should I know you? You know, besides the meal? You asked if I was a fan."
He takes a little moment to process before answering. "Oh, yeah. Uhhh, this might sound weird, but I'm a YouTuber."
Wow. I've heard about some YouTubers from my friend and about how they're very popular, but I don't think they've mention Dan before.
"What's your channel's name?"
He blushes a bit. "Ummmm, danisnotonfire," he mumbles, but still loud enough to hear.
"I don't think I've heard of you before. A lot of my old friends are crazy about YouTubers."
~Time skip~
I've learned a lot about Dan in the time he's been here. His favourite colour is black, he likes anime, his best friend and flatmate is called Phil, who is also a YouTuber, he and Phil have a book, he's very awkward, he doesn't like his neck being touched and he made it really clear not to touch it, and he told me about his tour with Phil.
There was so much more to talk about, but then there was a knock on the door, interrupting us.
"I'll get it, hang on."
I walk down the stairs and open the door. Standing in front of me is a tall man with raven black hair and stunning blue eyes. It's the other man from the dinner! I giggle a bit, remembering the napkin incident.
"Let me guess, Phil?" I question him.
He nods in response. "Come in, Dan is upstairs."
We walk upstairs and into the living room. Dan is still watching TV.
"Dan, you seriously lost your key?" Phil asked his best friend, with slight amusement for Dan's clumsiness.
"Hush," Dan laughs. "We all make mistakes. Well, I better get home. It was nice meeting you, Y/N. Check out my channel, it should tell you everything I missed."
"It was nice meeting you too, Daniel." He gives me a glare and I laugh a bit. "Uh, do you want my number?" I blurt. Dan raises an eyebrow. "You know, so we can hang out again?" He nods and we exchange phone numbers.
"Guys, I'm still here," Phil pipes, obviously feeling like a third wheel.
Dan rolls his eyes. "Come on," he grabs Phil's sleeve and starts pulling him towards the door and yells, "Goodbye, Y/N!"
"Bye! Hope to meet you again!" Phil quickly shouts.
"Buh bye!" I call back.
I lay on the couch, happy about what just happened. I think I made some new friends. Slowly, I fall asleep with a smile on my face.
Dan's POV
"You didn't say thank you to her for letting you use her phone and stay with her until I got back!" Phil immediately scolds me.
I face palm, realising that I forgot that. "Idiot! She must think I'm some snob who believes I'm above everyone!"
Phil gives me a look. "You like her, don't you? You're in lurve with her!"
I shoot Phil a dark glare, but can't help but blush. "I am not!"
"Don't lie, Daniel," he glares at me before yelling, "DAN LOVES Y/N! DAN LOVES Y/N!"
I give Phil another glare before throwing my shoe at him. It hits him and he yelps. "Shh, she's right next door!" I whisper yell.
"So it is true?" Phil wriggles his eyebrows.
Sighing, I walk off. I can't lie, it's true. I do like her. But she wouldn't like me, would she?
And if she did like me, would I have the guts to tell her I feel the same?
