It was the first day of the Tournament, and the first pairings were about to be declared.

It was 10am, meaning that most of those competing were in fact late because they did not want to get out of bed that early, the traitors group were a couple of these people.

"Welcome everyone to kingdom of Auran, this kingdom has been hidden for many years and it can only be accessed by those who have the ability of Aura, this is why a towns person had to come and get you or you would not have been able to get in. This kingdom remains hidden for good reasons, so even when you leave this tournament and tell someone about this place you will not be able to enter without someone who has this gift." Aaron said, he smiled when he saw the shocked looks on most of the people's face.

"Now as for the tournament. You all know that you are the best of the best, that is why you were all invited, but only one of you is going to be crowned the best pokemon trainer in the world. This tournament will test your skills as a trainer, your ability to handle different terrains to battle on as well as the bond that you share with all your pokemon." Alain said, they were all advisors so they got the honour of speaking to the towns people quite often.

"As you all know the Prince is taking part in this tournament, however what you may not know is that all of us advisors are also going to be taking part." Bonnie said, Clemont may not like the circumstances, but he was proud of how confident his sister had become.

"Now this does not mean you take things easy on us, we are trainers also and have been for years. We will be quite insulted if you go easy on us, as all the towns people know we have some strong pokemon however the new rule is if you don't want to battle them then you don't have to." Max said, May was also proud at the confident young man her brother had become.

"What do you mean? Your pokemon cannot be that strong." Someone in the crowd said, those who lived in the town winced when they heard this.

"Oh believe us they some incredible pokemon." One of the men from the town said.

"You have to say that because you are his subject, I do not see anything special about that Pikachu he has." A woman said.

"Very well, you want to see some strong pokemon. Go my friends." Ashton said.

"Entei, come on out!" Samuel said.

"Cresselia, time to shine!" Bonnie yelled.

"Victini, dazzle them!" Max continued the chain.

"Zapdos, take the field!" Gary yelled.

"Articuno, stand by for battle!" Paul yelled out.

"Darkrai, reveal!" Alain said loudly.

"Kyurem, come on out!" Aaron yelled.

"Ho-Oh, show your flare!" Ashton yelled. When the bright lights all died down the crowds were shocked to see those Legendary and Mythical Pokemon right behind their trainers.

"You have legendary and mythical pokemon?" Someone from the crowd asked shocked, it was rare to see even one of these pokemon in a lifetime, now they were looking at quite a few at once.

"Yes we do, but you can chose if you wish to battle one, if you do not wish to face a Legendary or Mythical then all you have to do is not say anything. If you do want to battle one then just ask in a battle if you can face one of them." Ashton explained, he loved the looks on the traitors faces when they saw all of the pokemon.

"Do you have anymore legendary or mythical pokemon?" A child asked from the crowd, they were not battling but they were going to be watching it.

"Well all of us advisors have 5 each, the king has four but the Prince has the most." Max said, smiling when he saw all the shocked looks.

"I have 21 legendary and mythical pokemon, I also have many other pokemon that are not legendary nor mythical." Ashton said, he watched on with a smile when he saw all the open mouths of the people below him.

"Now that you have all the information you need the first pairings will be selected. This board on the side of the castle will show you all of the pairings, at the presents time it will only be three on three battles and you will only battle once until the next pairing selection. When we get down to lesser numbers then you may have to play more then once a day." Aaron said. Everyone then looked to the board, waiting to see who their first opponents were going to be.

Ashton was facing someone from his town called Marie.

Alain was facing Malcom, an outsider to the kingdom.

Paul was facing Madeline, from their own town.

Gary was facing Kenny, someone who came with the traitors group.

Max faced Sam, an outsider to the kingdom.

And Bonnie faced Miette, someone who came with the group of traitors.

They all won their rounds, but unfortunately the group of traitors also defeated all of their opponents. What shocked Ashton and all of the others was that Serena, Dawn and May were battling even though they all knew they did the contests and not the battles.

"Well we made it through, but so did those idiots." Max said, sneering when he thought of those he once called friends and family.

"Yeah, but I can assure you all that none of them are going to win this thing." Ashton said, and with that they went out into the gardens for some relaxation, they could hear more battles going on but they didn't need to study their opponents, they did that when they battled one another.
