"I have to win today." Ashton said to his group as they walked to the arena. There had been three who went through to the Semi-Final's and that obviously couldn't be solved with one battle, so one of the three would advance automatically while the remaining two would have a battle to decided who battles in the final.

Ashton and the townsperson were the ones chosen to battle which meant that Brock would be moving onto the final's with no battle. That was the day before, today Ashton's last battle before the final's would take place.

"We have no doubt that you will win this Ashton." Max said, sometimes Ashton forgot just how good he was and needed to be reminded of the fact.

"I admire the faith you seem to have in me." Ashton said with a sigh.

"Ashton you need to remember that you are one of the, if not the best, Pokémon Trainer there is and its not just because of the strong Pokémon you carry or the amount. You have strong Pokémon yes but you also watch and plan your attacks in battles, you care for your Pokémon which makes them stronger and you fight with heart." Alain said smiling.

"Alain's right, you are the strongest for those reasons and not for having Legendary Pokémon on your team. Don't forget you have made your way through this tournament using none Legendary Pokémon the most, you only use them when a challenger asked it of you just like we all did." Paul said, when Ashton looked around all of his friends were nodding their heads in agreement.

"Thanks guys, I really needed to hear that." Ashton said, he hugged each one of them before they continued to the arena.

Melody made her way to the Royal Box while the rest of his friends made their way to the Advisor's Box below it.

"Today's battle will decide who joins and faces Brock in the final's, I wish the both of you the best of luck and be proud in the fact you are in the top three of this tournament." Aaron said before sitting down next to his wife.

Ashton and his opponent bowed to the Royalty Box before turning to each other.

"Nidoking, time to battle!" The female challenger yelled, the large pink Pokémon appearing  on the field.

"Tapu Koko, battle ready!" Ashton yelled, with a screech one of the Guardian's of the Alola Region appeared on the field.

"What the heck is that?" Brock asked from where he was standing to the side.

"This is Tapu Koko and he is Guardian of the Alola Region, there are four of them in total and each one of them guard a separate part of the Region. I met him on my first day in Alola." Ashton explained with a smile when he remembered how he battled the Pokémon he now carried.

"Nidoking, use Poison Sting!" The woman yelled, whose name appeared to be Katie. The small purple pins being released by the large Pokémon.

"Tapu Koko, fly up and dodge it!" Ashton yelled, his friend flying up out of the range of the Poison Sting. "Now use Brave Bird!" Ashton yelled. Tapu Koko glowed blue as it sped up on the decent before lifting at the last moment and hitting the Poison/Ground Type Pokémon head on.

Nidoking went crashing into a wall and when the dust cleared the large pink Pokémon was unconscious. "Nidoking is unable to battle! Katie, please choose your second Pokémon!" The referee said, the girl returning her Pokémon and saying a thanks.

"Blastoise, come out!" Katie yelled, the large blue turtle-like Pokémon appeared on the field.

"Tapu Koko return!" Ashton yelled, his friend released a screech before floating to it's Pokeball, Ashton then removed a second Pokeball. "Lycanroc, battle time!" Ashton yelled, the wolf like Pokémon appearing on the field.

"Let me guess, another Alola Region Pokémon?" Katie asked as she looked at the Pokémon in wonder.

"Yes this is one of two forms of this Pokémon. If the pre-evolved form evolves during the day after Midday but before Midnight then it becomes this Lycanroc, known as the Midday Form. However if it evolves after Midnight but before Midday then it becomes a different form known as the Midnight Form." Ashton explained.

"Can we see the other form?" One of the young children asked. Ashton sighed and called out his second Lycanroc, this one red and white in colour as well as looking a lot more intimidating.

After a couple of minutes Ashton returned his second Pokémon before nodding to Katie to begin the battle. "Blastoise, use Hydro Pump!" Katie yelled, the large turtle like Pokémon releasing large quantities of water from the cannon's on its shell.

"Lycanroc, use Sand Attack!" Ashton yelled out, this confused the audience and Katie. They all watched as the Hydro Pump came into contact with the Sand Attack, they all expected the wolf like Pokémon to be hit but that did not happen. The sand actually absorbed all of the water and Lycanroc was unharmed. "Use Stone Edge!" Ashton yelled.

"Try and dodge it Blastoise!" Katie yelled, however dodging was not the best idea for the large Pokémon since it was so large, the attack hit home. The large Pokémon still remained though but was greatly weakened. "Use Skull Bash!" Katie yelled.

"Quick Guard Lycanroc!" Ashton yelled, even though the attack hit the wolf like Pokémon Lycanroc was safe behind the small shield it had created.

Blastoise was now too tired and fainted as soon as it was back on its side of the field. "Blastoise is unable to battle! Katie please choose your third Pokémon!" The referee yelled, once more Katie thanked her Pokémon before returning it and choosing another.

"Sceptile, I choose you!" Katie yelled, the large and green lizard-like Pokémon appearing on the field. When Ashton returned Lycanroc she knew he was substituting so she had to wait to send her attack.

"Greninja, battle ready!" Ashton yelled, the ninja and frog-like Pokémon appearing on the field. He had to be careful not to activate his friend's special power now that he could control it, he didn't want the traitor's learning who he was right now.

"Use Dual Chop!" Katie yelled, the leaves on her Pokémon's wrist enlarging into sword like blades.

"Greninja, use Night Slash!" Ashton yelled, both Pokémon collided with blades made from energy each one pushing the other back before they were pushed back. After a couple of minutes neither had been hit so they jumped away from one another.

"Sceptile, use Leaf Storm!" Katie yelled, leaves glowing with energy soon came out of her Pokémon's tail and headed straight for Greninja.

"Use Bubble Beam!" Ashton yelled, the glowing blue bubbles hitting the glowing green leaves and they both cancelled each other out. "Now use Water Shuriken!" Ashton yelled, the large and pointed star made of water appeared in the frog-like Pokémon's hands.

"Dodge it Sceptile!" Katie yelled, the star was much to big for her to launch an attack on it and if it hit her Pokémon then Sceptile would be out.

However this order was given too late even for one of the fastest Pokémon there was, the large star hit the Grass Type Pokémon straight on and hit him into the opposing wall. When the dust cleared Sceptile was unconscious.

"Sceptile is unable to battle! Katie please choose your forth Pokémon!" The referee said, Katie returned her fallen Pokémon with thanks before drawing out another Pokeball.

"Vanilluxe, I choose you!" Katie yelled, the small ice cream like Pokémon appearing on the field as the girl's forth Pokémon.

"Very well, Greninja return!" Ashton yelled, Greninja gave a little bow before being returned and Ashton pulled out a forth Pokeball of his own. "Decidueye, battle ready!" A large brown and green Pokémon that looked like a giant owl appeared on the field.

"Not even going to question it. Vanilluxe, use Icicle Spear!" Katie yelled, a spear like piece of ice appearing before the Ice Type Pokémon.

"Decidueye, use Leafage!" Ashton yelled, the owl like Pokémon launched large leaves to the Ice Type, they cut right through the icicle spear and hit the smaller Pokémon dead on. Because of its small size it was launched into the opposing wall, when the dust cleared the ice cream like Pokémon had fainted.

"Vanilluxe is unable to battle! Katie please choose your fifth Pokémon!" The referee said, Katie returned her fallen Pokémon with thanks before drawing another Pokeball, she was beginning to think she stood no chance against the stronger trainer.

"Vaporeon, time to battle!" Katie yelled, the blue cat like Evolution of Eevee appeared on the field.

Ashton called back the Pokémon he had on the field with thanks before summoning another Pokeball. "Incineroar, show your flare!" Ashton yelled, the large black and red Fire/Dark Type Pokémon appearing on the stage.

"Vaporeon, use Aurora Beam!" Katie yelled, a beam of water was generated by the Water Type Pokémon, it seemed to shine in different colours as it moved which earned its name. It was then launched to where the Fire/Dark Type was standing.

"Incineroar, use Flame Ember!" Ashton yelled, this confused everyone since that was not even a known move. The audience watched shocked as the attacks Flame Thrower and Ember were released one after the other and joined to create one attack, if that hit Vaporeon the Water Type would be out quickly.

Katie knew this. "Vaporeon, you have to dodge this!" She yelled, however she realised she had yelled it too late, her Pokémon had dodged but not quick enough as her Pokémon was hit with the tail end of the attack. It was not as strong as the full attack but still caused the Water Type to hit the floor in a dead faint.

The crowd was silent as they processed what they had just seen, it was rare to see anyone using combined moves especially ones that were so powerful.

"Vaporeon is unable to battle! Katie, please choose your final Pokémon!" The referee said, Katie returned her fallen Pokémon with thanks before choosing her final Pokémon. She knew she had no chance of winning as she only had one Pokémon while Ashton still had all of his on hold in case they were needed in the battle, there was no way she could beat his six Pokémon with her remaining Pokémon.

"Sylveon, do your best!" Katie yelled, revealing yet another Eevee Evolution though this time it was Fairy form.

Ashton returned Incineroar with thanks before choosing his own sixth Pokémon and one of the most beautiful Pokémon he trained. "Primarina, show them beauty!" Ashton yelled. The Pokémon that appeared on the field shocked everyone with its beauty, it looked just like a mermaid but a Pokémon version of it.

Every person who competed in contests was looking at the Pokémon in awe, it would be a natural on stage during a contest.

"Sylveon, use Fairy Wind!" Katie yelled, the pink wind being released from the ribbon like feeler's that Sylveon had.

"Primarina, use Moon Blast!" Ashton yelled, luckily this attack was invisible so no one could see when the attack would come until it was too late.

If Primarina had not glowed white for a second then Katie would have thought no attack had been released, but since the Pokémon glowed something had happened. There was a small cry as Sylveon was thrown back quite a distance and weakened, that was definitely something happening.

"Are you okay to continue?" Katie asked, when her Pokémon nodded she turned back to Ashton. "Sylveon, use Misty Terrain!" Katie yelled, suddenly the field was covered in mist that was quite thick but thin enough to see through when needed.

"Primarina, use Sparkling Aria!" Ashton yelled, since this was a Pokémon that most people knew nothing about they had no clue what this attack was.

Primarina opened her mouth and a blue flame began to grow in size right in front of her mouth, by the time the attack was launched the ball of blue flames was about the same size as Primarina which was quite large. When the attack hit Sylveon the Fairy Type was launched into the wall and the ground, when the dust cleared Sylveon was unconscious.

"Sylveon is unable to battle! Prince Ashton is the winner!" The referee said, they both returned their Pokémon with thanks and congratulated one another on a great battle.

Aaron then stood up and as he did this everyone else also stood. "My son, Prince Ashton, will be facing Brock in the finals, which will take place tomorrow." Aaron said and with that the arena emptied.

Ashton smirked over to where Brock was standing, who was glaring at him.

"It's almost time." Ashton said when he joined up with his group.
