*+。 CHAPTER 30。+*
Mauricio explained everything to Narin in detail. She wasn't surprised by this information. The assassin sensed that one day there would be a person who would want to take revenge on her for the murder of a loved one.
A pensive mulatto girl was sitting on a couch next to a burning fireplace in her guardian's villa. On her opposite side, Serrano was dozing. Their conversation lasted a long time, now it was evening. The trader asked his beloved that before she would do anything hasty, she would first think carefully about the situation and inform him about it.
The brunet was asleep but she couldn't. There was a battle of thoughts going on in her head. The only upside was that now she knew her new adversary intimately. She also knew that she would speak to Candela about this, but she wasn't going to show her any sympathy or kindness in this matter. She had had enough of pretending. She tried to be someone else, better. She wanted to learn how to take better care of others. She tried, but she lost the fight, it was too contrary to her nature, so she decided not to try anymore, not to pretend. She'll just be herself, and if people really care about her, they'll stay with her no matter who she is.
Narin shifted her gaze from the fireplace to the sleeping trader and stopped her gaze on him for a moment. Muricio slept so peacefully. His head was resting on the back of the couch and his hands were folded over his chest. He slept sitting up, which would surely make his bones ache in the morning from resting like this for so long.
The mulatto girl got up after a while and reached for the blanket lying next to her. A moment later, she quietly approached the sleeping trader and gently covered him with a blanket. The black-haired girl sighed softly, then sat down next to her friend, again looking towards the fireplace.
She thought for a long time about the situation she found herself in. There was one thought in her mind that she tried to suppress for a long time. After a while, however, she found that it would be pointless to resist it. She knew the end of her story, she had predicted it all long ago, and therefore she didn't hesitate to act. She'll do what she does best.
♦•♦•♦
Narin didn't sleep a wink all night.
It's morning now.
Mauricio was still asleep and Vazquez didn't want to wake him. She looked at the brunet for the last time and then approached him and slightly adjusted his blanket. A moment later she stopped and looked at her sleeping friend for a moment. When she noticed that it was already eight o'clock, the mulatto girl secretly left Bernardo's villa, taking her entire set of weapons with her.
Now she has gone to one place. To the police station.
The woman stopped near the police station and for a few short minutes looked at the people inside. It was the police who found Thiago and brought him to her city, they introduced him to their ridiculous plan, and it was through them that Pérez got to Bernardo and almost burned him alive. The police had a part in it, perhaps they didn't even realize it themselves, but in Narin's eyes they were guilty and had to be punished accordingly. Vazquez will take care of that, in her own way.
"Lo siento Dios, pero tengo que hacer algo mal otra vez. (I'm sorry, God, but I have to do something bad again.)" She whispered, touching the necklace Mauricio had given her. "Eh, I think I'm going to burn in hell." She sighed, then took her gun and headed towards the precinct.
Narin took a confident step inside. At the very entrance she encountered two guards and a young woman sitting at the reception desk. The assassin sighed, then dropped her black bag to the ground and reloaded the rifle she had in her other hand.
"¡Buen día! (Good morning!)" She exclaimed cheerfully, smiling as she did so, and a second later she aimed her rifle at the first guard and killed him by shooting him in the head.
The receptionist screamed in horror as the other guard reached for his gun. But before the man could use it, Narin shot him four times. Three times in the stomach and once in the head.
"Too slow, señor. " She shook her head and then smiled at the terrified woman on whom has sprayed the blood of the assassin's victims. "Sorry, I really didn't mean to." She said and shot her straight in the heart. "Of course I lied." She added, passing the receptionist's body. "Halo, halo!! " She called cheerfully. "Is there anyone at home?!"
After a while, three more policemen ran out into the corridor.
"Ooh there you are!" She spread her hands and smiled widely at them. "That's good."
The policemen started shooting at her, but the mulatto hid behind the wall and sighed heavily.
"Pathetic." She shook her head and waited a few seconds, and when she sensed a good moment, she leaned against the wall again and shot two more policemen while the third one managed to hide in the room. "Are you hiding from me?! " She called after him, and then she went to the door and knock. "Knock, knock! " She laughed.
"Hands up!" She heard another man so she looked in his direction and did as he asked. "Drop the weapon! " He called, trying to hide the fear in his voice.
"Aww, you're cute." She said, turning her head to the side. "Unfortunately, I spare no one, even the cute ones." She added and quickly lowered the rifle to shoot another policeman, who fell to the ground a second later. "I don't think you heard... I said, knock, knock!!" She screamed and kicked the door, which after a while was already open for her, and the policeman inside started shooting at her.
Narin hid behind the wall just as a policeman and a policewoman appeared to her left and right. Vazquez sighed and then ran into the open room where a blonde man hiding behind a desk was shooting at her. The mulatto ran up to him, grabbed his gun and lifted it up, then hit him with her knee in the stomach, which made the blond curl up in pain. A second later, the black-haired girl took his gun and shot his head, so that a few drops of the policeman's blood landed on her face.
At the same time, a policeman who had previously been on her left when she was standing in the corridor rushed in. The man fired at her, his bullet grazing the assassin's arm lightly. The woman bent down and, using her rifle as a weapon, hit the man hard in the legs, knocking him off balance. The policeman screamed in pain but fell silent as Vazquez put the barrel of her gun into his mouth.
"Shhh..." She whispered, putting her index finger to her lips and a second later she pulled the trigger, smashing her opponent's head.
Immediately after, she was attacked by a policewoman who had previously run to her from the right.
"You killed my husband! " She cried and threw herself at Narin.
"Don't worry, you'll join him soon." She replied amused and attacked her with a rifle, but the redhead blocked her blow, twisted her arm and threw the weapon aside. "Mm, impressive. " The mulatto said and dodged the next blow of her new opponent. What surprised her the most was that the policewoman didn't have a gun on her.
"You killed my husband!" She screamed.
"Yes I know about it. You don't have to repeat it so many times." The disgusted Vazquez said and then blocked another blow of the nervous red-haired girl and a moment later she hit the enemy hard with her head. The moment the other woman staggered, Narin reached into her shoe for a knife and a second later plunged it into the policewoman's neck. "Really, once was enough." She said and shook her head. "You see? I said you'd be joining him soon." She added, at the same time pulling the knife from her enemy's throat, causing several more drops of blood to land on the assassin. The red-haired girl grabbed the bleeding wound and stared at the mulatto girl. She fell to her knees, and a second later she fell to the ground, shaking all over.
The black-haired walked through her, then cautiously looked out into the corridor and headed to the right, deeper into the police station. For a brief moment, no one else attacked her. It seemed that in the morning hours the policemen were just beginning to arrive on duty.
Narin reached the great hall, where she found six more policemen working on some papers. It seemed to be their meeting place. Within a few moments, she saw that there were pictures of herself and people around her hanging on the large white boards. Seeing Bernardo's villa burning, the woman felt her anger rise.
"Wait, what are you doing here...?" The young man carrying the coffee said, but he didn't manage to finish the sentence, because Narin just turned the gun to the side and killed him on the spot.
"Okay, then who will tell me where to find Thiago Pérez?!" She called, catching the attention of the others.
"It's her, it's the assassin!! " The policeman called, he was eating a donut and pointing to a picture of Narin hanging on the board.
"In person." She smiled crookedly wanting to kill the gourmet but she didn't manage to do it because the shooting started. The other policemen started shooting at her, so the mulatto had to hide behind the desks placed around.
"Señora Vazquez! Please give up! " Another uniform called. "You don't stand a chance against us, we have the upper hand!"
The black-haired girl just laughed at his words.
"I don't think señor knows what I'm capable of!" She replied and prepared her smoke screen. After a moment, she threw a grenade, which later began to emit thick, gray smoke. The cops fired blindly, and Narin silently sneaked up on each one and knocked them out, one by one.
"Señora?!" The confused man called, not realizing that he was her next target.
"I'm here." She whispered into his ear as she grabbed his neck and brought the knife to his throat. "Shh..." She whispered, covering his mouth with her other hand and stifling a scream as she cut his throat. Warm blood flowed onto her hand. Narin laid the corpse on the ground, then wiped her face a bit, leaving more blood streaks on her face.
With the passing of the next minutes, new policemen appeared, whom the assassin defeated and now the last one left was her man eating a donut. Cop didn't even flinch, still sitting in shock in his chair, a pink icing donut in his trembling hand.
"Y-you... y-you..." He stammered as he watched the assassin approach him slowly. "You k-killed t-them a-all..."
Narin smiled, turning her head to the side. She was all dirty in the blood of her victims, and the remnants of the smoke she spread surrounded her and the pile of dead policemen.
"Thiago Perez?" She asked, raising her eyebrows at the terrified, fatter man.
"Over there!" He pointed at the documents in the glass-enclosed office. "You'll find everything you need on her desk." He said, the hand holding the donut still trembling.
"Her?" She asked, and looked at the clay again. "Your boss?"
The man nodded quickly to which the woman thought for a moment.
"Where's she now? " She raised an eyebrow.
"She is not here yet..."
"I know, I noticed that, donut-guy. " She replied with a smile. "Where is she now?" She asked again, emphasizing each word she uttered.
"Probably at home." He said after a moment. "She was supposed to be late today because she had to take her daughter to kindergarten."
"Ah, so the boss has a daughter?" She asked with an even bigger smile, to which the policeman only nodded. "Interesting..." She said thoughtfully, looking at the boss's office. After a moment, her eyes returned to the terrified man.
Narin came even closer to him and took the donut from him, which he didn't even manage to bite.
"Gracias, señor." She smiled and then aimed at him with the second weapon, this time smaller, because she ran out of ammunition in the previous ones.
"You don't have to kill me." He said shaking his head.
"No, I don't have to." She admitted and pulled the trigger just as the man closed his eyes in horror. But nothing happened because Vazquez ran out of cartridges.
"Ah, it's probably a sign... " The policeman was happy.
"Sorry..." She said, letting go of the gun. She pushed her jacket aside and took a knife from the back of her belt, then swung quickly. "My mistake." She added as she stabbed the startled man with the blade.
One blow wasn't enough for the cop to drop dead, the mulatto had to deliver one more blow to the next parts of the body, and then another, another and another wanting to finish off the fatter man. Losing control, she stabbed and stabbed him until she saw great jets of blood covering the entire body of the now-dead cop. Only then the woman push back a strand of her hair and sighed.
The mulatto girl looked at the donut and then shook her head.
"Too many calories." She threw the treat on the dead body of the fatter policeman.
Narin wiped the knife, then sheathed it from her belt and after a while went to the boss's office. She knew that police reinforcements would probably arrive soon, so she had to act faster. Vazquez picked up the relevant documents, leaving traces of fresh blood on them, and found the information she needed. She found all of Thiago's details and his home address.
A second later, she heard someone's footsteps, so she grabbed the knife again, ready to throw it at the new victim. The mulatto, however, stopped this act when she saw who came running to her.
"Chinita..." Mauricio said breathless and in shock he looked at the piles of bodies of dead policemen, and then looked at his beloved covered in blood. Her clothes, shoes, hair, and face were stained with streaks of blood all over her face, and the blood smeared from the bottom of her eyes to her chin looked like bloodied tears. "You were supposed to talk to me first, not act on your own." He said in a gentle voice and approached the mulatto looking through the documents.
"You slept so adorable that I didn't have the heart to wake you." She replied, checking more papers.
"Stop joking." He shook his head.
"I'm not joking." She said honestly and looked at him. "Besides..." She looked around the corpses. "I have finished."
"I see." He sighed.
"I didn't want to get you involved."
"Narin..."
"I'm the monster here, pachuco. Not you. " She cut him off and looked him in the eyes again. "And it better stay that way."
"And who am I here?" He put his hands on his hips.
"You're the good one." She replied looking at the papers again.
"I told you that..."
"You're my safe place, Mauricio." She stopped him again and looked him in the eyes. "And I don't want to spoil this place, you understand?" She said and their eyes stared at each other for a long moment. "I'm going to Pérez, will you come with me?"
The brunet was silent for a moment, then sighed heavily.
"Of course I will, chinita. Where you are, so am I." He ran a hand through his hair. "Let's go before more cops show up." He took her hand and pulled her along.
