I was woken up by the blaring alarm and what sounded like drill sergeants urging us to get up. I had to pee badly and I felt famished. Before my eyes could adjust to the bright lighting in the room, my door flew open, and in came the same guy from yesterday.

His ivory-colored eyes glared at me above the face mask. He stood at the side of my bed and stared down at me like he was superior before he finally spoke, "Get up. It's breakfast time."

When I hear breakfast I always think of my mom's pancakes and scrambled eggs. The tasty food would always dance on my tongue and the incredibly good meal would increase in satisfaction whenever I'd drown it down with freshly squeezed orange juice.

Hm! Just the mere thought made my mouth water. I jumped out of bed and ran out of the room with him following me. I couldn't hear much over the groups of people talking. Some talked to themselves and others talked to each other.

I wish Annabelle and Betty were here, then I wouldn't feel so lonely. The guy from before led me to the dining room area. It was huge, which weirdly made up for the foul smell and terrible food. I love having room to walk around.

They served some type of pasta and garlic bread. I didn't care how disgusting it was at that moment. All I wanted was something to stop my aching, growling stomach. I sat at a round table near the door and began eating the garlic bread, but stopped chewing when I heard sniffling coming from behind me. I turned my head around to see Annabelle standing there with tears staining her cheeks like yesterday.

I waved her over and she sat down next to me, wincing a little. I didn't understand why, but I didn't press it until she scooted her chair closer to me, rested her head on my arm, and began to cry silently. I put my garlic bread down, dusted my hands and wrapped my arms around her frail, shaking body.

"Anna, what's wrong," I asked her in a soft and calm voice.

"Th-they," she stammered, took a deep breath then spoke calmly, "They made me hurt everywhere."

I furrowed my eyebrows. I was so confused. There are multiple meanings behind the word hurt, but one in particular popped up in my head and my blood began to boil. They beat her. I have to do something.

"Where'd they hurt you," I furiously asked while scanning her body. She sat up and looked around, then pointed to her crotch and I immediately felt vomit coming up. I swallowed it before it came out and tried to catch my breath. I needed air and water to get the taste out.

She sniffled, wiped her eyes, then stared at her feet. She's too innocent. I need to find the bastard who hurt my little sister.

A devilish grin grew on my red face and I whispered to her, "How's about we make him sorry for what he did?"

She smiled excitedly at me and nodded rapidly. I gently grabbed her face to stop her, then looked into her eyes. I could still see the pain lingering in them.

"What'd he look like?"

I didn't expect a full description, but I needed something otherwise I'll go on a killing spree. I mean none of them were innocent, but they weren't all guilty for what happened to her.

She took a deep breath, then began to think as I let her face go, "Um ─ he smelled really bad and his eyes were green, like," she scanned the room until she saw the lunch lady. She looked at me and whispered, "Like her eyes."

I looked at the lunch lady and immediately knew who she was talking about. He was the one who grabbed her first.

I smirked at her. "Let's find him."

She got up with me and we walked to the door. My walking came to a halt when I noticed Betty leaning against the door with her arms folded.

"What's wrong," Annabelle asked me.

I asked her to wait, then stepped closer to Betty.

"I heard what happened. I also know that you're going to do something stupid."

I clenched my fists as she continued, "I have a plan. I know his routine and around now he should be out back smoking a cigar for fifteen minutes. Come with me."

She walked through the door as I turned to a confused Annabelle. I smiled reassuringly at her, then took her hand before opening the swinging door and walking down the hall. Betty was a lunatic and that's what I loved about her. Sure she got me into a lot of trouble, but whenever I needed her she was there.
