The Lie
Athena's brain was the battleground of her thoughts as she walked to St.Maria's cafeteria. Should she tell the truth or keep her secret, well a secret. She must have looked weird though because Molly and Mitchi were looking at her strangely.
"Um are you okay, Atty" Molly was one of Athena's friends to and Molly happened to be the kind friend that worried about little things like your friend staring off in space.
"Uh yeah, I'm fine. I was just thinking about a story idea." This made Molly shove off but Mitchi wasn't fooled so easily.
"Tell me the truth Atts, I can tell you're lying." Mitchi folded her arms and stared me down.
"I am not! I'm serious. Plus I don't lie."Athena stared back into Mitchi's emerald green eyes but knew in her heart, that there was no use. There was no possible way she could fool Mitchi. Mitchi was inhuman. She was cool, strong, and was very, very stubborn.
"Oh really" She said and rolled her eyes.
"If you actually did have an idea, you would be telling us all about it. You wouldn't leave us alone until we told you it's awesome. I know you to good, Atts. Admit it."
Mitchi stared Athena down so hard that Athena felt like she would explode.
"Alright maybe I don't have an idea for a story. But I do have an idea for what we should do after lunch." Athena went on to tell her friends that they should all study for that big test in social studies.
Mitchi was not impressed. She was almost never wrong. She was right when it came to her friends. Athena would burst at some point. After all Athena was the worst at keeping secrets.
They had arrived at the cafeteria when Athena had finally stopped talking about their test.
Mitchi would expose her at lunch, Athena would never see it coming when she had a mouthful of food.
With that in mind Mitchi walked through the door with her friends.
