"Turn over, open up baby. Now hold this." He said as I touched the foreign object while he let out a gasp.

"Is this a new toy?" I ask, touching it innocently and smiling at the indulgence of having a new toy but then I noticed something wrong, I couldn't place what it is but I knew right then and there that I wasn't meant to play with it. Call it a gut feeling but I just knew.

"Hold it." He said quietly, trying to persuade me while I shook my head.

"You will hold this right now and play with it unless you want me to smack you." He said as I whimpered, he was turning into a monster again. I gulped back my fear, preparing to do what he asked me when he start to shake my body all of a sudden.

"Tinu, Tinu. Wake up." A voice called interrupting my dream as I sat up in bed. I noticed I was feverish and my hot body was covered in sweat. The tank top I was wearing stayed glued to my skin as I looked up to my brother who was whispering comforting words to me.

"Your nightmares are becoming more frequent this days. I hear you cry and whimper in your sleep cause I'm next door. I think it's time we told mum." He said in concern, running his hands over my back as I swipe my hands over forehead.

"You are burning up." He said, placing a palm on my forehead to check my temperature. I'll get a napkin and cold water." He said rushing to the bathroom.

I let out a sigh of relief as I stood up to walk to the toilet to empty my bladder but my legs failed me. I tried again but it was same result but fortunately for me, Seye returned helping me. After I had successfully used the toilet, he laid me back on my bed and mopped my body with cold water as my temperature reduced.

"Hey sis, you wanna talk about it?" He started quietly while I shook my head, I didn't want to talk about it and I definitely didn't want him to tell mum.

"Promise me you won't tell mum." I said, desperately. He was silent for a few minutes before speaking up.

"I won't if it doesn't get worse but if it does, I'm going back on that promise." He said firmly as I nodded, realizing that was the best deal I'd get. Drowsiness hit as I felt him place the wet napkin on my forehead.

"I know we all have our scary monster and secrets that we keep but I'll always be here for you. Promise me you'll share with me if it become more than you can bear." He said, running his hands through my cornrows in a loving manner.

"I will." I promise.

"Thank you. Just answer one question before you go to sleep." He said as I nodded for him to go on.

"Does this dream you keep having has anything to do with you dating Folu?" He ask, as I nodded.

"Yes, It does." I muttered, figuring it was the least I could at least tell him.

"I owed him that." I thought as a I fall into a deep sleep.

I woke up to silence as I sat up on my bed, I had a light headache but I ignored it since it wasn't very unusual these days. I looked around, trying to figure out what was different and It took my brain less than five seconds to comprehend it.

"I'm late!" I panic as I rushed out of the bed but unfortunately, lost my footing due to equilibrium. I groaned as I manage to get my towel and rushed to the toilet. In less than 20 minutes, I was done and rushing down the staircase since Seye wasn't in his room.

I got downstairs in time to see everyone having a peaceful breakfast.

"What's happening. Why didn't anyone wake me up?" I ask as I knelt down to greet my parent.

"Your mum was just about to do so." My dad said calmly, sipping on his tea.

"We could have lost the chance to take the school bus." I muttered as I picked up a toast bread and began to munch on it.

"Actually, not to be a killjoy or anything but we actually lost it." Seye said, a mischievous look on his face.

"What?!" I exploded.

"You know I don't like taking the public transport especially to school, why didn't you wake me up." I accused him.

"Now,now. Don't go around blaming him. Seye said you were sick so I figured we'd let you rest a little bit and I'd drop you both at school once you finish breakfast." Dad said, preventing any future banter as I smiled up in gratitude at Seye but he only replied my smile with a wink which broaden my smile.

"Thanks Dad." I said, as my mon walked down the staircase. I didn't even notice she left my side.

"I'm ready everyone." She said clutching a heel and bag on both of her hands. I grabbed two more toast bread, poured myself a little tea and once I was done, I grabbed an apple to munch on during the ride.

"Hey mum, are you riding with us." I ask confused as she walked past her car to Dad's car.

"Yea, I am." She said, a big smile on her face as she placed a loving kiss on my father's cheek who opened the door to the driver's passenger seat for her.

"It's a family day afterall." Seye said, winking at me as he opened the back door for me, like the gentleman he is. I shook my head at him but a huge smile remained on my face.

"Selfie time!" My mom scream as she brought out her phone and everyone including Dad came together to take a picture.

"As much as I love this bonding moment, we are gonna be late guys." Seye said chuckling as my mom shot him a death glare.

"Killjoy." I muttered under my breath as my dad pulled out of the garage and started driving to the hell hole, I called a school.
